Oh these girls!  Stacy… I hope you truly love these images of your girls.  The light was AMAZING seriously magic hour!  These images were barely retouched in Photoshop.  It goes to show, just how important nailing proper exposure is, because I literally spent 30 minutes editing these…. all of them!  Crazy beautiful.

Jake… is my neighbor.  It’s hard to belive he’s a senior already!  We bought and moved into our house 6 years ago, it’s amazing how quickly that time goes by.   Congrats, Jake!  We’ll miss you and your family!

How amazing is this little guy!  It was Van’s 1st birthday and we had so much fun!

I guess I should have announced I would soon be leaving earlier, because I have been SLAMMED these last few weeks with last minute sessions!!  Really great sessions too!  It doesn’t feel like I’ve had all that much time to shoot and edit as we pulled the kids from public school to home school with K12 – which is starting to fall into place.  The first week was just horrid… second was easier, and now that we have a routine down and they know they will be able to go do fun things after their work is done, like go to the museum or zoo – we kinda like it!

Anyway, we’re only three weeks from leaving for Arkansas and for all those in Little Rock, I cannot wait to meet you!  Watch for one KILLER special as soon as I arrive!  It won’t be available EVER again, but you’ll want in!

The past two days I’ve been dealing with this yard sale in an attempt to get rid of some stuff.  So… If you want an antique telescope, rocking chair, then a bunch of baby crap and women’s clothes, come on by!!  We also have a 47″ projection TV that anyone can make an offer on.

Now onto the amazingness!!  Last weekend Stef and I had the opportunity to document Ben and Meg’s nuptials.  They had a beautiful ceremony at Racoon Creek Golf Course, Reception was at Leo Gotos, and First Look Downtown Denver!

Love candles… me too.  Hate the price… me also!  AND I have a little 2 year old who is way to curious, pretty fire = bad owie.

We’re gonna have a drop-in shoot-out. There will be no charge but with donations/tips accepted to help recoup for the location; I just want to see you all before I leave to Arkansas, have a little fun with your kiddos and family!  All of you are part of my family, and I will miss everyone

Anyway, at this time I’ll be asking what time of year would be good to come back and see y’all!  I’m already scheduled to come home the beginning of October, I have a wedding, so if you’d like a session, please let me know so I can plan accordingly (all session must be pre-paid).

Any type of session, max time will be 15-60 mins depends on the interest, include your favorite digital file, proofing gallery with option to purchase more, and it’s ONE DAY ONLY, but please come and see me just to say ‘HI!’ or *sniffles* ‘Goodbye.’ The shoot out will be held at the downtown studio! Yes… indeed I said Little Rock.  This is a difficult post for me to write.

I moved to Denver in 2001 to be with my loving husband.  Craig and I have raised our kids here for 9 years, he got out of the military thinking we’d stay here forever and life would be grand and blah blah blah.  Come to find out, we are a military family… simple and plain as it sounds, we belong there.  We had insurance, we had good paying jobs, we didn’t get laid off – which totally sucks and is a gutting rotting feeling not knowing how we’ll cover the mortgage and bills, and most importantly take care of our kids.  Luckily we did it.  Whatever we did, we made it work.  We’ve never missed a payment on the house, and we’ve been thru quite a few economic trying times, like many other Americans.

Anyway, we LOVE, and I mean… truly and utterly with all our hearts LOVE our house and our neighbors.  I LOVE my clients and friends… I love that we’re in Colorado, the best state EVER!  But because the economy sucks and layoffs suck, we decided that Craig should maybe try to get back into the military.  So he’s in the Air Force Reserves now, as many of you know.  Also as many of you know, he graduated from Recruiter School in February – which is very challenging, and we’ve been waiting to hear whether or not we would miraculously stay here in Colorado or be forced to move for his first assignment.  All the graduates were thought to have orders by March.

March came and went.

Then April.

May and June followed.

And then most of July.  Finally Craig called his Sr. and asked what the deal was.  He, one of the higher graduates, was almost the only one not placed, and I was laid off again.  Apparently there was only ONE SINGLE assignment open.  So we talked about it, and took it.  We need to get into the system, and out of the craptastic economy.  Unfortunately, that means moving…. to Little Rock.

We have told our close friends, and now I’m telling all my clients.  This is hard.  I love you all, you all are special and are all my friends, many of you have become close friends.  I want you to be happy, and I want you all to have the beautiful pictures that I have had the opportunity to bring all of you. I can’t come back every month, but I can come back every so often.

His report date is mid-September, and if the house is rented by then, the kids and I will go with, but I will be back.  We’re not selling our house, but rather renting it.  It’s not the market to sell, but to grow and hold on too, and I want to see everyone again and again.  So I’ve decided, like many photographers who move from one city to another, to work between cities.  I have 1 wedding scheduled in October, so I’ll either be staying thru the 3rd or so, or will fly back, it really just depends on our house.  You all of course are welcome to come to Arkansas and see me too

We are excited about this new avenue in our family.  Finally, I’ll be able to stay home with my kiddos and take pretty pictures full time, like I have always been meant to do!  Finally, Craig will be in a field that he throws his entire personality and heart into other then his family.  He deserves this.  He deserves recognition, pride, self-motivation and doing something he believes in and is good at – something GOOD!  My kids deserve us to be home more and not so tired and worthless when we are, like now.

I hope you all can be happy for us and wish us well.  Like I said, I’ll be back.  I have a bunch of clients here who keep me going!  I have more that are waiting for things to happen in their lives, before they come to me to stop those memories in their tracks!

However, in light of all the news, I will not be scheduling sessions taking place after August 15th, 2010 for Denver and surrounding areas.  Once we are in Little Rock and settled I will resume taking and planning sessions in both locations.

I sincerely thank all my clients from the bottom of my heart for sticking everything out with me all the support you have given me to make this photography business amazing.  Bless you all.  I will miss you………. so, let’s get some sessions scheduled, so I can come back soon!!!!
