Before, people believed that eating candy is not really bad because it does not contain fat. However, it still is fattening because it contains sugar. When sugar is not burned off, it turns into fat deposit. Next time you see a candy, do not be misled even when the labels says it is low-fat or low-calorie. If there are cravings for sweets, choose edibles that are sugar-free such as fruit.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Do exercises at home. Most teens are busy with work at school. Signing up in a gym is not possible, not even convenient. The best alternative is to do exercises at home. Buy DVD copy of different types of exercises and how to do it. You can even get the whole family to participate in the exercises at the living room.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Walking around in the neighborhood is another easy method to get real good exercise. If you have a pet, you can even walk him. And when the pet has high energy, you can even run with your pet. It does not really matter what you do, the point is for your young body to be active and increase your heart rate. It helps in burning fat and weight loss.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3. School Activities. Most teens and young people cannot afford to join a gym. But the activities at the school can be a great exercise. The choices are wide: sports, cheering squad, intramural sports, etc.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4. Avoid the fast food. This can be challenging to many teens because fast food places are like a second home to them. Surveys say that fast food is among the top three leading cause of weight problems between teens and kids. The age we live in is not conducive to losing weight quickly. We live in a society of fast food, instant meals, TV's and computers. If our habits were as simple and natural as our forefathers, then losing weight would be much simpler. When one leads a simple and natural life, there is little possibility of gaining weight in the first place.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However the modern lifestyle is characterized by stress, fast lifestyle and poor diet. It can be extremely hard to lose weight because we find it so difficult to change our lifestyle habits. Eat slowly: Many people eat too quickly and end up overeating! If you want to lose weight, you must learn to eat slowly. You may not be aware of the fact that it takes the brain at least twenty minutes to realize that you are full? So, by eating slowly, you will feel full before you have eaten too much. Not only that but eating slowly also aids in quicker digestion!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. Avoid snacks in the evening: Eating snacks in the evening is not a good habit, especially if you want to lose weight quickly. As a general rule, you should not snack after 7.00 PM, because this is close enough to bed time that your body would store food instead of digesting it! This results in weight gain.
