Great news for UK fans. Perez Hilton is not only awesome, but also a regular “Gossip Girl” for the continuing season of Gossip Girl.

Hollywood blogger Perez Hilton is to write a weekly column on ITV2 drama Gossip Girl.

The channel claims the new column will contain “a heavy dose of Perez’s usual witty banter as he gives his take on the action unfolding”.

Perez’s comments, which are set to coincide with the show’s airing on Thursday evenings, will also apparently contain titbits of gossip from celeb land. Source: ThisIsNottingham

So much for sad goodbyes! Even stars break up via text message:

When Carrie Underwood and Chace Crawford split up, the couple called it quits digital style, says the country star.

“It was completely mutual,” Underwood told Extra at the taping of Idol Gives Back. “We broke up over text so … it’s like ‘peace out.’ ”

According to Underwood, the breakup wasn’t a tearful confrontation, but a realization that the romance just wasn’t meant to be between her and the Gossip Girl hunk. “It just didn’t work,” she said. “We both knew it didn’t work and [had] no hard feelings at all whatsoever.”

Mm yeah. Apparently Chase was the only one who was teary-eyed, at least according to People Magazine!  How do you think the text message convo went?  Leave it in the comments section!

The Phillipine Daily Inquirer named him one of the young names that will dominate 2008.

One look at the guys of “Gossip Girl” and there is no doubt that Penn—or Dan Humphrey in the show—is the hottest of them all. After appearing in TV shows such as “Will & Grace” and “The Young and the Restless” and movies such as “John Tucker Must Die,” he is all set to appear in a rugby-themed movie called “Forever Strong.” Not just a looker (who owned his own looks when he cut his long curly locks), Penn is also a musically gifted guitar-playing singer who may make his presence felt in the airwaves as well. Source: Inquirer

Hmm. Haven’t heard some of this before… I guess we’ll see how 2008 pans out for Penn! (Though I’m not sure of the validity of the source.)

There’s something about the two of them that I absolutely love.  Maybe that there’s so much room for DRAMA in their relationship?  Or maybe it’s just the fact that Chuck is crazy for Blair, even if his years of being a world-class jerk have left him uncapable of being in a relationship.  Whether they get back together or not, why not remember a little piece of season one with this video?

Hey everyone!  Hope you had a great break - I know I did.

Just wanted to let you know that the Top Gossip Girl Website is back and better than ever!  We have a new design AND a new writer who will be keeping you up to date on all the news surrounding Gossip Girl.  You’ll be hearing from her often… meet Indy!  She will be in charge of news and moderating comments, while I will be working more on spoilers, downloads, fashion, and so on.

Gossip Girl has almost reached the end of season one, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be lots of stuff to talk about still.  We’ve got our eye on all the cast members and will be reporting on their projects and other events in interim.  We’ll also keep you up-to-date on writer’s strike news and any spoilers we hear about season two!  Also, Australia and parts of Europe are picking up Gossip Girl, so we’ll keep chatting on how the show does in those countries.  There’s plenty of reason to keep checking back, even as the show reaches its season finale in the US and Canada.  So please, welcome Indy to the team and start chatting!

He’s delighting in keeping Blair (Leighton Meester) away from the longtime love of her life, Nate (Chace Crawford), by threatening to tell Nate that the virginity he thought he took from Blair had already been taken — by Chuck himself. What a jerk. Or is he just hurt by Blair? A (small) part of me feels sorry for Chuck because he has to watch the only girl he’s ever had feelings for fall in love with his best friend. Talk about torture! But then again, maybe he shouldn’t be sleeping with his best friend’s ex-gf…

Bubblegum boys, Chace Crawford and Sean Pyfrom were partying it up at Mokai Sunday night with JC Chasez and a Brittany Snow look-alike Sunday night.As we all know, a plethora of celebs adorning everywhere from the A to D lists are in town for annual SoBe New Year’s Eve festivities. Prepping for the big night, a couple of teen hotties, a has-been and a look-alike hit the scene Sunday night at Mokai. Desperate Housewives’ Sean Pyfrom was accompanied by sexy up-and-comer Chace Crawford from fall hit Gossip Girl with a surprising appearance by ‘N Sync’s JC Chasez and what appears to have been a Brittany Snow (Jon Tucker Must Die) look-alike. The crew was surrounded by a team of bouncers and indulged in VIP bottle service while arriving on scene around 12:30 a.m. They danced their twenty (and thirty) something pants off all night, but kept their distance from the fans, requesting no cameras within snapping distance. A local Gossip Girl fan claimed Crawford’s best friend “flirted all night but wouldn’t let me near Chace” The only thing that could have enhanced the Mokai madness was an impromptu song by Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. Wow, Chace is pretty connected - just more proof that Gossip Girl is getting huge and is going to make all the stars on it A-List celebrities pretty soon. What do you think?

So glad Chace didn’t have to ring in the New Year with Underwood–maybe he’ll dump her in 2008 and get a girlfriend as gorgeous as he is. I think he should be with Leighton Meester–they’re be stunning together. Read the rest at Celebrity Gossip

Actually, I think their both beautiful, talented girls, inside and out (at least to the public since I don’t actually know them).  Chace would be lucky to date either one.  What do you think?  Carrie or Leighton?  Leave your answer in the comments section!

1. How did Chuck’s dad get to the new headmistress before Serena did? I’m pretty sure Serena didn’t tell Lily she was getting expelled, and even if he heard it from Chuck, why was the headmistress still questioning Dan? Can we say “major plot hole?”
2. Is it legal for Vanessa to take ten grand from someone in exchange for a blank video tape, then donate it to charity? Err… isn’t Chuck going to want his money back when he finds out?
