Alyson Renae "Aly" Michalka (born March 25, 1989), often credited as Aly, is an American actress, singer-songwriter, and musician. Michalka gained fame for playing the role of Marti Perkins in the CW television drama Hellcats. She is also known for her roles as Keely Teslow in the Disney Channel original series Phil of the Future, Charlotte Barnes in the film Bandslam, Taylor Callum in the Disney Channel Original Movie Cow Belles, Rhiannon Abernathy in the Golden Globe-nominated teen film Easy A and as Tracy Morgan in the thriller The Roommate. She is also known as one-half of the musical duo 78violet (formerly Aly & AJ) with her sister Amanda Michalka.

She was born in Torrance, California and grew up in Seattle, Washington and Southern California, with her sister, Amanda. Her father, Mark, owns a contracting company, and her mother, Carrie, is a musician and performed with the Christian "JC Band".

Michalka made her acting debut as Keely Teslow on the Disney Channel Original Series, Phil of the Future. She has also starred in the Disney Channel Original Movies Now You See It..., in which she played Allyson Miller, an ambitious television producer, and Cow Belles, in which she appears opposite her sister. She had a leading role in the Walden Media film Bandslam, about a group of misfits who form a rock band. The film, which also starred Vanessa Hudgens, was released in August 2009.

Michalka had a main role as Marti Perkins in the CW cheerleading drama series Hellcats, alongside Ashley Tisdale. The series premiered on September 8, 2010. However, after one season it was announced by the CW that the show will not be renewed for the 2011–12 fall schedule.

Michalka guest starred in an episode of CSI: NY that aired on September 30, 2011. Michalka and her sister comprise the musical duo 78violet, and released their first album, Into the Rush, on August 16, 2005. The next year, they brought out a holiday album in September, covering 9 tracks, along with two originals, titled Acoustic Hearts of Winter. In July 2007, their album, Insomniatic, hit stores, featuring the American top 20 hit single, "Potential Breakup Song". The two were to release a third album in early 2010, but it has been postponed after they left their label.

Michalka has been playing the piano since she was five and started playing the guitar at the age of 13. She started acting when she was five years old, mostly in church play productions. Miss America 2012 Laura Kaeppeler Kenosha

Laura Kaeppeler of Kenosha, Wis., was crowned Miss America in Las Vegas.

The 23-year-old played it down the middle -- or maybe went around the issue? -- in answering a judge's question about whether beauty queens should be open about their political beliefs.

"Miss America represents everyone, so I think the message to political candidates is that they represent everyone as well," Kaeppeler said. "And so in these economic times, we need to be looking forward to what America needs, and I think Miss America needs to represent all."

Well played, Miss Wisconsin -- criticizing Occupy Wall Street helped earn Miss New York Kaitlin Monte second runner-up. Kaeppeler, who donned a white bikini (showing more skin than in years past) and black beaded gown during the competition, shared her talent for opera singing in edging out Miss Oklahoma Betty Thompson, the first runner-up. Miss California Noelle Freeman, who danced a Black Swan variation from "Swan Lake," took fourth runner-up.

Teresa Scanlan, Miss America 2011, tweeted her congratulations to Kaeppeler after the show, and sent a photo that was taken backstage of herself with a few of the ladies. Meanwhile on Twitter, Rima Fakih, Miss USA 2010, was talking a little cross-pageant smack, saying "miss america is the girl next door, miss usa is the girl u WiSH lived next door." (And hey Laura, get excited for what the beauty-queen future might hold once your official duties are done -- on Sunday, Rima was tweeting about attending a Golden Globe Awards party and posing with Kim Kardashian.)

Kaeppeler, who will hold the Miss America title for a year, won a $50,000 scholarship. Her platform during the competition was supporting and mentoring children whose parents are behind bars. Her own father had served 18 months for mail fraud while she was graduating high school and starting college. The win "taught us that God can turn anything into good if you let him," father Jeff Kaeppler said backstage. "Laura is totally on board with that idea. She let that drive her and inspire her this past year to get ready for this."

Kim Kardashian Visits “Live with Kelly” in New York

Kim Kardashian kicked off Kelly Ripa's "Live WithKelly" week of female co-hosts Monday morning and got pretty personal when it comes to life after her controversial divorce.

"I didn't think following my heart would create this much backlash," Kardashian said of the public negativity following the announcement that her 72-day marriage to NBA star Kris Humphries was over.

Rumors of a sham wedding and a conniving Kardashian, whose only goal was to profit from her nuptials, flooded the Internet following the pair's split, forcing Kim to move in with her mother. Kim even admitted that she packed only two pairs of sweatpants and a set of pajamas to do some major "soul searching" during her media hiatus.

Ripa then brought up the awkward fact that she and former guest co-host Nick Lachey dressed up as Kim and her ex-husband on their wedding day for the talk show's Halloween episode -- just hours before the pair announced that their marriage was over. Talk about bad timing.

But the tense moment was quickly alleviated as Kim graciously told Kelly, "That was the one thing that made me smile that day."

The pair also got to talking about the the latest shocking divorce to rock Hollywood -- the dissolution of Heidi Klum and Seal's seven-year marriage. But after going through her own difficult split, Kim made it clear that she was done passing judgement on other couples.

"It's so sad," Kim said of Heidi and Seal's announcement. "I would never wish anyone to go through a divorce, but then again after what I went through, you don't really know until you're in this person's shoes ... When I see other people when I might not understand their situation, now I really just step back because you don't really know what they're going through."

Although Kim is aware that her own situation couldn't be more different than Heidi's -- the supermodel was married for seven years and has four children -- she made it clear that it's better to be honest when it comes to your relationship rather than putting on a brave face for the sake of appearances.

"I definitely tried everything I felt like I could ... I want babies. I want forever love. I just felt like, you know, if I feel in my heart that this isn't right, then why wait years to have the same result?"

So what's next for Kim? According to the reality star, she's hard at working putting her metaphorical pen to paper.

"I really learned that i just need to rewrite my fairytale," she said.

Miley Cyrus had a cake with a huge penis on it made for her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth‘s birthday part at at Club Icon in Downtown L.A. Saturday night (January 21).

WTF? Gee, this isn’t going to stir up any controversy at all. Due to that the cake is that of a giant penis, we are unable to show the actual photo here. Check out the photos here.

My big question is, why would Miley get Liam a penis cake? I could understand him getting her a penis cake, but not the other way around.
