The Nutcracker Market

Located in Montreal, this non-profit Christmas market is the first of its kind located in the city. Located at the Montreal Palais des Congrès' shopping mall the benefits the Nutcracker fun, allowing kids see a performance of The Nutcracker who may not be able to due to illness offs over 105 exhibitors and tons of local goods to shop for. Quebec City’s German Christmas Market

Here we got a month-long festival from November 23^rd to December 23^rd. This festival sets its sell apart from the rest with its gorgeous and romantic festive settings. Lastly on our list we have the Christknidl Market in Kitchener Ontario. A lot of towns across Canada have this German market but in Kitchener it is considered the original. It’s a weekend long from December 7^th to the 10^th. Bring your family, there’s plenty of food sip on some nonalcoholic German beverage Gluhwein as you take in the polka and live Nativity scene. Three DIY Cleaning Tips for those on a Budget

Tired of spending a ton of money on cleaning supplies that is full of unhealthy chemicals and no actual guarantee that it will work? Are you also tired of trying homemade cleaning supplies that claims to work but never seems to get the job done? Well I am both tired of spending money and using cleaning products that never work. So, I am here to show you some DIY cleaning methods that are guaranteed to help.

Window Cleaner

Probably the popular and necessary cleaner along with counter cleaners. What you are going to need to concoct a perfect window cleaner is one fourth cup of rubbing alcohol, a fourth cup of white vinegar, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch 2 cups of warm water and of course a spray bottle. All you need to do is add all these ingredients into a spray bottle and shake before spraying.

Silver Polish

If your silverware is getting tarnished there is a simple way to fix that. What you will need is 1 aluminum baking dish a cup of boiling water, a cup of baking soda, a cup of sea salt, half a cup of white vinegar, a rag for polishing and rubber gloves. First, add the baking soda and salt to the baking dish and slowly pour in the vinegar. Then, add the boiling water. After doing that place each piece of silverware into the mixture. Let soak for 30 minutes and then wipe with a cloth and your silverware will be looking brand new in no time!

Coffee Stains

Maybe the bane of every working adult’s existence, coffee stains are tough to fight. But fear not, there is a way to get rid of your stained shirts. What you will need is 1 egg yolk, 2 teaspoons of warm water, a cloth and a toothbrush. First blot the are with a clean cloth, then add an egg yolk to two teaspoons of water in a bowl. Make sure the water is warm and not boiling. Mix well. Then, dab the mixture onto you coffee stain with a cloth. Once you do that use the tooth brush and gently rub in a circular motion to help lift the stain. Lastly just throw you shirt in the wash to rinse out any residual egg yolk and your clothing will be looking good as new.

How to Relax During a Stressful Move

Having a stressful move? Moving to another location can be a harrowing experience even for the most patient and calm people. How can you reduce stress when a big move is approaching? Here some helpful hints to give yourself a better night's rest!

First thing you should do is prepare. Before bed and in the morning, get in a traditional meditative position. This will help you retain your meditative state for a longer period of time. Make sure your body is relaxed, and your eyes are closed.

Mouth exhalation

When you exhale through your mouth, you relax your head, neck and chest. Breathe in through your nose, and raise your chest and stomach for ten seconds; then gently exhale through your mouth. This is a great way to start the meditation.

Retrospection

This part of meditation should be done at the end of the day. Think about what you did during the morning, and let the thoughts pass you by. The key is to not linger on any one thought; watch them as if you are watching movie pass by. While doing this, gently breathe in and out for 5 seconds each. Once you are done, continue to breathe 5 more times in complete breaths.

Autogentic training

This training involves being in communication with your body. Close your eyes; take 5 complete breaths, and repeat a mantra. Begin with saying your left leg is relaxed, your right leg is now relaxed, etc. Go through your entire body. After you are done, take 5 more full breaths. This is supposed help your entire body relax.

Back to School Lunches

Getting your children ready for school is probably one of the most stressful parts of parenting. Waking your kids up, getting them dressed, making lunch, and just getting them out the door might be a pain. And while those things may be difficult, here are some ways to make it a little easier on both you and your kids.

Food

Kids generally like finger foods, so try cutting their sandwich up into little pieces. It will make it easier for them to eat, and they will probably enjoy it more. Replace sugary sweets with fruit like strawberries, blueberries, and sliced apples. Perhaps add peanut butter or yogurt to dip their fruit in. A healthy side can be vegetables like baby carrots or cherry tomatoes. Another good addition is cheese cubes. Sandwich alternatives could be quesadillas or dumplings! At the end of the day, your kids should eat what they are given. However, giving it to them in a way they like can convince them to eat healthier!

Accessibility

How you pack the lunch can can make or break the meal. If you give them a plastic lunch box, make sure that it isn't difficult to open. You may want to use a general paper bag, but that may not be feasible as the bag may break. Ideally, an easily accessible bento box may be the best option.

Ready-made food

Prepare lunch the day before, so you don't have to rush in the morning to get your kids their food. Set aside an hour before you go to sleep to prepare their lunches. Usually, it shouldn't take any longer than an hour to prepare simple lunches.
