This was a Fujitsu Lifebook P7xxx Series. The model I used had a second battery inserted in the CD slot. I never brought the CD drive with me and never missed it.

I actually was going to comment on the fact that you have got yourself a new brain
Instead I’ll just congratulate you on finally finding a replacement for the beloved Psion. I know how much you have used it through the years, and hope the transition won’t be to hard.
I hope this will be the beginning of a new era. Not only brainwise, but also one where we can thank the Iphone for bringing you back to the blog

Hmm… Tempting but no cigar
As you know I can fully understand the choice you have taken.
Some days I wonder if all us nerds really should be out in a nursery, a hospital or maybe a school. Somewhere where it’s about people and not computers.
I think thats why i like my taxi so much. After a day behind the screen it’s nice to actually talk and interact with people face to face. That kind’s of brings me back to real life.
Oh – and I must say I’m flattered. Even though you are offline you still read my I-have-to-write-once-a-month blog

I have got a Mako device (Psion-Revo). I touch type on it. It’s too old – 7 years. I need to find a replacement. Psion leaved this market and the place is free. Some time ago I thought about Sharp Zaurus. But it has a weak keyboard useless for a touch typing.
I am looking for a new lightweight device with reasonable keyboard, battery life and with modern communications tools. What a pity! There are nothing interesting.
