Do I bring some of my wedding gear, Nikon D4 and a prime or two or do I just bring something small. I was planning to do a lot of walking in Vancouver and not wanting to lug heavy gear all the way from Toronto I decided to save my back and brought my Fujifilm X100S.

For me the Fuji X100S is the perfect travel camera if you are not specifically there to shoot something. It gives you the image quality of an professional DSLR system but it’s compact and unobtrusive. What more can you really ask for?

So before this week’s festivities start I wanted to post the follow up to Elissa and Rick’s sneak peek.

I met Elissa and Rick by chance over the Christmas holidays. They were at our house with mutual friends who were visiting from Australia and mentioned that they were headed to Scotland in a week to get married. Well hey congratulations I said and then they mentioned they were also having a second wedding in Toronto. Naturally I asked who was shooting their wedding and they said they don’t have a photographer yet. “I’m available”….and that was that.
