Ombre has been the most recent color buzz but this color style is a little different. She has some dark purple at the ends of one side of her hair. They appear to be faded in the same technique as used in Ombre but used as a fun accent, rather than all over your hair. Are you ready to try something different? What a great way to experiment with bold color without the long term commitment and up-keep. We love this idea!

~ A long, thick braid that is pulled to one side will look great for summer months. You hair will be pulled back off of your face so you will not have to worry about stray hairs sticking to your forehead or getting in your way. You can experiment with many different kinds of braid. Try to perfect a regular braid, a french braid, and a fishtail braid. This will change up the look greatly while still maintaining the ease of a side braid. You can start the braid up towards the front of your face or you can start it at the base of your neck on the side. If you have layered hair, run a little bit of pomade over your hair prior to braiding to avoid flyaways.

~ Beachy layered waves are a great option for summer months. You can simply spritz your hair with a sea salt spray, scrunch, and go. You can even do this while your hair is still damp and let it air dry. Since the product will give you a bit of hold you don’t have to worry about messy wind blown hair. Flyaways and frizz also won’t be as exaggerated.

~ Long, loose waves with a little bit of bounce will be perfect for summer nights. Simply blowdry your hair with a round brush and spritz with hair spray. Take the rounded ends of your hair in sections and roll them up to the base of your head, pinning each section into place. Lightly mist hair with hairspray all over and let your hair set. Let your hair down and brush your hair out with your fingers for loose waves.

~If you are daring, a short pixie cut can be great for summer. It will be easy to style during mornings and it will transition perfectly into fall months. Routine cuts will be necessary to keep the style fresh.

~ A messy top knot is a great updo for summer. You can simply spray your hair with a sea salt spray like you would for beachy waves or you can add a texturizing product to your hair. Pull your hair into a messy ponytail high on the crown of your head and twist sections of your hair while pinning them into place. This will create a high, messy bun with great hold. Once you have finished lightly mist your hair all over with hairspray.

~ Use a straightening iron to create loose curls at the ends of your hair. Leave the top portion of your hair sleek and smooth and just rotate the iron to create curls that turn in different directions. By alternating the direction in which the hair is curled, you are breaking up the curls and preventing them from turning into one uniform curl. Spray your hair all over with light hold hairspray. The great thing about this style is that if curls drop due to the weather, they will still look great as waves.

~Short razored bobs are popping up all over. They require little maintenance, yet still provide a fashionable, glamorous look. They can be worn straight, messy, or wavy. They don’t require as many trims because they look awesome at any length. This style will work just as well when summer turns into summer.

~ Tousled waves that turn away from the face in the same directions will not only help open up the face, but they will also last in summer weather. Prep your hair with a texturizing lotion and then use a straightening iron to create tousled waves that turn away from your face by turning the hair at a downward slanted angle. Since the hair will be a bit messy it wont matter if hair begins to loosen up a bit and if your hair feels like it is beginning to fall flat you can simply flip your head over and rework the texturizing product into your roots with the tips of your fingers.

~Create a slightly sleeker look during summer months by adding a shine serum or spray to your hair with any style you try. A shiny hairstyle will look more pulled together than something that is frizzy or dull due to the weather.

~Try a new hair color. Different shades of blonde are popping up everywhere. Consider adding subtle caramel highlights or go all out platinum to great a sunnier look during summer. Blonde will look great during warmer, summer months and by starting out early you will be able to go blonde without completely damaging your hair.

And as usual, Nicole was ever the picture of grace and elegance in a gorgeous red dress and a voluminous hairstyle that is neither too done nor too overlooked. Here she doesn’t appear to be immaculately styled, but for Nicole, it doesn’t seem to matter whether she is on the red carpet or hanging on the streets of New York, she always looks the epitome of grace. And it is this girl next door look that really seems to be the big trend right now, which should be a key to you when you are mastering your own signature style. A little bit of simple goes a long way here. Nicole’s hair has been styled in the half up half down look, in a very casual manner that has no muss or fuss.

This look is easy to accomplish with a very straight blow out, hang your head upside down when blowdrying to get the volume that Nicole has here. If you want to add some real oomph, set some Velcro rollers in the top section of your hair for added volume. Blast some heat on those babies as well, and after 30 minutes just shake ‘em all out. And since party season for us mere cogs is just around the corner, you can take a few tips of styling from this elegant goddess. For her Australian premiere, Anne swept up her hair in a chic chignon and kept some strays out all for the sake of romance.

A very easy look to do! You want to start off with clean shiny hair like Anne has here, and use some texturizing shampoo and conditioner that will hold the look. Then, Anne has simply pulled back her hair in a sexy ponytail, and not fussed too much about flyaways or concise neatness as this is a bun that is tres chic by being tres minimal. Take your ponytail and twist it into a low bun at the back of your neck, and secure with a few bobby pins. You don’t want to fuss too much with product either here, as this clean and mussy look is the one you are going for. Pull a few pieces out at the sides to frame your face and the end result is a sexy, chic, and elegant look you can take all day or all night.

This is an easy look to accomplish, even on second day hair and is perfect for the busy girl with a full plate. Before you go to bed at night, wrap your damp hair into a bun and sleep on your coil overnight. You only want your bun to be slightly damp, and about 90% dry. This will allow your hair to bend overnight and dry with the waves you are creating with the bun. In the morning, take your bun out and finger comb your waves out. If you want to keep things tidy, use a pretty hair accessory to pull your waves back just a little bit and allow the rest of your luscious locks to stay loose and sexy and carefree just like Whitney’s. To add a little extra curl on your ends, wrap the ends around a 1/2 inch curling iron and hold for ten seconds. Shake out the curls with your fingers and voila!

Today we sadly report that Lily Allen is going through the same pain and heartbreak and has lost her second child at six months gestation. Though we hope to see a smile back on her face soon, one thing we can say with confidence is that no matter what she is going through, she always looks stunning. With raven colored hair and gorgeous features, Lily always makes a statement no matter where she is. For her look at the premiere, still a mommy in waiting then, Lily chose a stunning gown to make her entrance, and went very simple on her hairstyle with a sleek and elegant ponytail tied back just perfectly.

To get this look, dampen your soft bristle brush as you pull this ponytail back, and let it sit nice and low on the back of your neck like Lily has here. Then you just need to bend your bangs under ever so slightly with your flat iron or curling iron. This look will only take a few minutes, so go ahead and sleep in a little, or if you are going out, wait a little longer to get ready, since you won’t have to worry about your hair. You can arrive on time and still look fabulous and nobody will ever be the wiser.
