Lindsay Lohan is seen here getting a little reclempt on her birthday, as the paparazzi sang the Happy Birthday song to her as she left the Bardot lounge in Los Angeles the other night. And unlike her former party hearty days, Lilo decided to celebrate her birthday family style, taking her closest friends and her younger brother Michael with her for her birthday festivities. And it seems that though her heavy partying personality seems to have taken a back seat, Lilo’s need for a versatile personal style has not, as she continues to surprise us with changes to her hair and look. And all this goes to show is that as far as Lilo is concerned, no look is really bad on her. Whether she is a raven haired beauty, a red hot bombshell, or a honey sweet blonde, her hair always seems to look fantastic. And this time it looks like Lindsay has followed this season’s hair trend by taking her shade to an extreme color with dramatically darker locks which is an interesting switch from her recently blonder days. Lindsay here has also straightened her normally luscious waves into a sleek look that is both chic and glamorous. To get this look, use texturizing shampoo and conditioner in the shower, particularly if straightening your hair can be a bit of a challenge in warmer and more humid temperatures. Use straightening serum on towel dried hair, and blow dry your hair with a flat bristle brush. You don’t want lift at the crown or roots here, as sleek and bone straight is your ultimate goal for this carefree birthday look. After your hair is dried, run a flat iron over your hair to smooth away any bend, and amp up the sleek factor. After your first run with the flat iron, spritz on some glossing serum to add some extra shine, and then run the flat iron through it again to lock in your super shine. Don’t worry about a part here, as casual and carefree with no concerns about flyaways is the object of this look. Finger comb your hair as you go through the night, and you’ve got yourself a straight but luscious look that will last through the night no matter how hard you are rocking the night away.

Selma Blair is one of those starlets that we don’t see too much of, so when we do, it’s cool to see that she is still rocking the sexy style she has been known for. Here Selma is seen deep in thought as she heads out to a meeting in Hollywood, and it looks like whatever part she is eyeing these days, she’s got the look that will get her foot in the door. Gone are her luscious locks, and Selma has gone for a much more cropped look that is shaggy, tousled, and sleek all at the same time.

This is a great look for anyone at any age, and this length is versatile enough that you can do anything with it, day or night, as Selma is proving here. For her day of Hollywood meetings she went with a slightly sleek look that gave her a rather polished air, but also one that just tousled enough to look casual and chic while sipping a patio cocktail.

You can get this look first by getting the right cut, so ask your stylist for longer length in the back and at your sides, but get some volume pumped into the top with shaggy layers cut into your crown. To style then, you can use some styling wax on towel dried hair, and blow dry your hair with a round bristle brush. This look is a bit sleek, so you aren’t going to worry too much about volume here.

When your hair is dried, spritz some antihumectant spray on your locks, and then run the flat iron over your entire head, bending the ends only slightly for some face framing style. By using the flat iron, you will lock in the antihumectant so your hair stays straight and sleek all night long, and it also adds some extra shine to that gorgeous style.

For some extra shine for a night out, you can spritz on some glossing serum for a shiny, sexy finish that will instantly glam up any night on the town.

Not everyone can pull a day out and about looking as fabulous as this girl, but when your name is Claudia Schiffer, you can do whatever you want looking however you want. And it doesn’t seem to matter with this girl, no matter where she is or what she is doing, she makes beautiful look so effortless doesn’t it? And at the end of the day, no matter how long in the years she is getting, this is one girl whose features are stunning are they not? And they always are no matter where and when. Here she is looking stylish and immaculate for her day out, in a chic and simple nautical outfit that is oh so retro, and oh so chic at the same time. She tops off the simplicity of this look with a sleek straight mane that is definitely one to envy.

To get the look that Claudia Schiffer has here, you want to start off with the same layered cut that she has here. Use some straightening serum on towel dried hair, and blow dry your hair with a flat paddle brush pulling your hair straight as you dry. Use a flat iron to sleek your hair out as much as you can. When you are flat ironing, you want to pin the top sections of your hair up first, and flat iron the bottom sections for maximum fullness and all over straightness.

After you have flat ironed your entire head, spritz your hair with some anti-humectant. Immediately following this, you will want to flat iron your hair again, and this will lock in the humectant, and give your hair some beautiful shine. Blake Lively Waves it Off

The gorgeous Blake Lively is seen here on the set of the last days of filming Gossip Girl. She is looking stunning and chic as ever in some awesome stretch jeans and eye popping heels. Sheesh this girl just can’t take a bad picture can she no matter what angle they catch her from. And you won’t ever see her having a bad hair day either, as she seems to have it all and then some. Outside of natural blessings, the key to Blake’s always look fabulous look is in her hair cut.

To get this look, you want to have a layered cut with long concave layers cut that angle toward your features rather than away from them. Use texturizing shampoo and conditioner to give your hair some bend, and blow dry your hair from roots to ends with a round and soft bristle brush. After your blowdry, you can run some styling pomade through your hair to give it some additional texture and movement.

Then, use a 1 ½ “ curling iron to put some bend and wave in your hair, but here you really just want to run the iron through your hair, and not focus too much on curl. Keep the curling on for just a second or two, and create a lovely, soft wave that will last all day. You will then brush these waves out for a soft almost ethereal look, and a sexy but not too fussy side part will add instant vamp appeal to your overall look of casual elegance.

Finish the look with some extra hold hairspray along your part. And if you want to finish it even further, toss on a pair of killer heels to shake with that mane of yours.

Christina Ricci Mourns Her Couplehood

Christina Ricci is seen here looking cute as ever on the set of her latest movie, Born to be a Star. And if you are wondering why she is looking a little forlorn and lost, it is because she has just recently broken an engagement with her long time fiancé comedian Owen Benjamin. And by recently, we mean, over the past weekend. Poor Christina, she just looks so sad you just wanna reach over and give her a huge hug. But looking at her you almost envy her, because how many of us can look THAT great and still show up at work when our hearts are clearly broken.

Christina here is playing with her now empty engagement ring finger as she works on set and as it looks is contemplating the love of her life. But even on set Christina has her hair pulled into a cute and quirky little ponytail which she offsets with an equally cute little summer dress. Once again we see how the right outfit can make even the most casual of hairstyles look cute as a button. This just goes to show that yes, you can get away with second day hair without drawing too much attention to yourself, even when you are on set and in front of zillions of cameras.

If you pull off the right look like Christina has here and choose simple pieces that are casual, but with one or two standing out amongst the others, you can get away with the ponytail. Working with second day hair can be just a little tricky as you may be dealing with some grease factor, so you want to run just a smidge of baby powder through your comb before you sleek the hair back. Doing just that will ensure that if you are getting looks from the crowd, they are the kind of looks you want.

Part your hair on the side with a fine tooth comb, and then comb back the side sections of your hair into a high and tight ponytail. Be sure to use cloth covered elastics to minimize and prevent hair breakage. You can then sweep your bangs to the side like Christina has here, or you can simply curl or flatiron them under for a sweet fringed look in the front. For just a hint of extra glam, you can spritz on some glossing serum, but only enough for a little extra shine, not too much or you will enhance that second day hair look.

Kate Beckinsale Goes Casual

Kate Beckinsale is one of those women that leaves men swooning all over the world no matter what she looks like, and by seeing her here in a casual day running errands, it is easy to see why. Here Kate is running around on an ordinary day with her daughter wearing a gorgeous summer dress and running around for some groceries. Oh, if we all could only look so beautiful when it comes to our errand running time. Kate started off at the Gelsons Market for a little grocery run with hubby Len Wiseman, after which the happy family headed out for some lunch. And it looks like Kate decided to wear her hair down for the day out, with her long brunette locks flowing loosely with just enough volume for sex appeal.

To get this look, use texturizing shampoo and conditioner, and you will want to blow dry with a round bristle brush. Blow dry your hair about 95%, and when it is still slightly damp, you can set your hair in large sized Velcro rollers to create this wonderful volume that Kate has here. Let your rollers set for about 30 minutes, and then blast some heat on them to finish the drying and lock in that volume. When your hair has cooled from this blast, take the rollers out and brush out your hair with your soft bristle brush. The end result? A lovely voluptuous mane with just enough wave and volume to look sexy, but not too much that you are over the top. And if you are missing Kate on the big screen, keep an eye out for her upcoming action flick “Whiteout” that will be in theatres this fall.

Carrie Underwood Breaks a Sweat

Carrie Underwood has very quickly become one of America’s icons after breezily snagging the title of American Idol, and many girls all across the country admire the down home goodness of this glamorous superstar. And why not? This is one girl that makes looking great and being nice super effortless, whether she is gracing a red carpet, or working up a sweat with her trainer as you can see here. But what many American girls may not know is that this is one starlet that is super conscious about her weight, and takes just about every little public criticism seriously when it comes to her body size, and she admits that unfortunately, she has to work a little harder at it than others. It may even surprise you to know that Carrie is so weight obsessed that she carries a food diary even around with her and obsesses over every little calorie. Mind you, looking at her here you would never guess that she has to spend a second sweating over every little calorie, as she still manages to look fantastic. For her workout with her personal trainer, Carrie went for a standard workout look with her hair piled up and little concern for muss and fuss and even so, she still looks fabulous with her hair pulled back in a quick ponytail and piled on top of her head. This just goes to show that yes, you can get away with second day hair without drawing too much attention to yourself. This look is not one that you need to style or maintain, it’s a simple matter of effortlessly pinning your hair up and out of your way when you are ready to break a sweat or commit to some exercise. If you are working out in the outdoors like Carrie here, you also want to be sure to run some anti humectants through your hair to protect your hair from the sun’s exposure, and to minimize any drying out from outdoor elements. Post workout, you definitely want to lose the second day hair, and wash and go as you normally would for your day. But one thing Carrie IS proving here is that even superstars go a little casual now and again and there is nothing wrong with that.

Jennifer Aniston has become infamous for many things since her rise to stardom on Friends. One of the reasons her star rose so quickly however is of course her naturally beautiful hair. And we say naturally beautiful because she is just one of those girls that always seems to have the perfect hairstyle, no matter what lengths she has gone to with her do. Have you ever seen her with a bad hair day? No, and you won’t. And here her great hair is being showcased while she shoots her new film “The Baster” on the steps of a Brownstone in New York City. Stylists on set decided to keep Jennifer’s hair down for this scene, with her long honey colored locks flowing loosely with just enough volume for sex appeal and just enough highlights to capture that pretty New York sun. Effortlessly beautiful is not always easy to achieve, but you can get this exact look with just a few tricks.

When your hair has cooled from this blast, take the rollers out and brush out your hair with your soft bristle brush. The end result? A lovely voluptuous mane with just enough wave and volume to look sexy, but not too much that you are over the top.

Taylor Swift Gets Curly

The always smoking, always sexy Taylor Swift is seen here brightening up a gloomy London day with her gorgeous smile and a pretty little floral number. Taylor was in the grand United Kingdom to perform at Radio One’s Big Weekend, a hot rocking show that took place in the cute little English town of Swindon. And as you can see, Taylor seems to be charming the British as beautifully as she charms America, with her million dollar smile and her looks to die for.

Here Taylor has decided to go with a look that is all spirals and curls and it adds such a pretty little air of youth to her already youthful look. But along with a properly styled do of curls and ringlets, Taylor all on her own pulls off an easy, breezy, beautiful style that exudes both sex appeal and fresh vitality that is hard to come by if you’re not the ripe age of 19. And, despite the fact that these curls may look a little *too* immaculate, this is a very easy look to come by.

This is an easy look to accomplish, even on second day hair and there is a very quick tip that you can use if you want major ringlets with little fuss in the morning. Before you go to bed at night, wrap your damp hair into many little buns all over your head and sleep on your coils overnight. The more tiny buns that you have, the more your hair will take on this ringlet appearance. You only want your buns to be slightly damp, and about 90% dry. This will allow your hair to bend overnight and dry with the curls you are creating with the buns.

In the morning, take your buns out and finger comb your curls out. If you still don’t have the curls you desire, use a very thin curling iron to tweak some of your most stubborn strands, and finish with a generous misting of extra hold hairspray.

Lauren Conrad Gets Glamorous

One thing Lauren Conrad is famous for is for that girl next door look. She always seems to perfect the jeans and tee and stylista ensemble, and gets it right every single time. Her hair also has a very ordinary look, with her thick blonde waves being cut in almost one length that never seems to go out of style. And Lauren’s hair usually looks rather sweet and ethereal, but here she is glamming out to the max for an appearance on “The Late Show with David Letterman”. She has had her hair blown out beautifully, and went with a glittery and sparkly mini dress for her spot on late night television.

I love this look because it just proves how versatile and gorgeous this girl really is. One minute she is sweet and darling, the next she is sexy and glamorous, and so even though her look is pretty standard, this versatility always keeps us guessing, doesn’t it?

To get this look, you want to maximize volume and so you will start off with some volumizing shampoo and conditioner. Use volumizing mousse from roots to tips on towel dried hair, and blow dry your hair with a round bristle brush. Pay some extra attention to those roots, as you can really amp up the height and volume by doing so.

When you are finished your blowout, you can set your hair in large sized Velcro rollers and this will add just a bit more volume and a very slight bend to your hair. Spritz each section of your hair with some hairspray as you roll, and this will lock in the volume. Let the rollers set for about 30 minutes and blast the blow dryer on them before you take them out. This heat again will lock in some very pretty volume for you.

After you take your rollers out, use a soft brush to slowly smooth out the waves and volume you just created. Don’t worry, you aren’t going to be sacrificing any volume here, but you will finish with a sleek smooth look like Lauren has here. You can spritz on some glossing serum if you like for an extra glamorous finish that will last either all day, or all night.
