Samsung Galaxy Beam Projector Phone Specification & Introduction !

Samsung Mobile has started taking pre-orders for its Galaxy Beam projector smartphone in India. The availability of Galaxy Beam on Samsung e-store has given rise to speculation that the company is on the verge of releasing the device in the domestic market. However, presently there are no details about its launch date on the website.

Galaxy Beam, or GT-I8530, is a high-end smartphone with an in-built nHD projector. The company claims that it can project crisp videos, photos and slideshows on a 50-inch wide screen via its 15 lumens pico projector.

It has 4.0-inch 480×800 (WVGA) TFT display and is powered by 1 GHz Dual-Core Processor. It runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It has 5MP Auto focus camera with flash, 1.3MP secondary camera. It is 12.5mm thick and weighs 145.3 g. It has 15 lumens projector that allows users to freely share photos, videos or other digital media instantly and in crisp clarity up to 50-inch wide, even in outdoor environments. it can project videos for 3 hours via its 2000 mAh battery.

Previously, Samsung was expected to roll out the device in South West Asia in May 2012, but postponed it.

How to use iCloud with GarageBand for iOS

With the latest update to GarageBand for iOS, a slew of new features were added. Users can now create jam sessions, share songs using Facebook, and send songs to iCloud. While jam sessions and sharing your latest song on Facebook are both great new features, iCloud is proving to be the most useful.

By sending your songs or projects to iCloud, you can easily back up and share songs between iOS devices. If you start a project on your I PHONE and want to finish editing it on your iPad, send it to iCloud and watch as it magically appears on all of your iOS devices.

To get started, you will need to make sure iCloud is turned on in GarageBand. When viewing all of your songs in GarageBand, tap on the + icon, then turn on iCloud. Repeat these steps on each iOS device you want GarageBand to use iCloud on. iCloud support with GarageBand is only available on the iPhone 4/4S, fourth-gen iPod, and all iPads.

When you want to send a song to iCloud, tap on the Edit button and select a song (or songs). With iCloud enabled in the app, you will now see an iCloud icon along the top bar. Tapping on the iCloud icon will bring up a prompt, asking if you want to send the song(s) to iCloud.

After the song is uploaded to iCloud, you will see an iCloud logo in the top-right corner of the song thumbnail, indicating a successful upload and the fact that the song is stored in the cloud.

When you open GarageBand on another iOS device, you will see the song thumbnail, but now it will have a green arrow in the top-right corner. The arrow indicates the song hasn't been downloaded to your device yet. When you tap on the thumbnail, the song will then be downloaded from iCloud.

>>Going forward, each time you finish editing a song, it will automatically upload the changes to iCloud.

>>Once you store a song in iCloud, it's going to take up part of your iCloud storage allotment. Make sure to keep an eye on your iCloud storage levels and remove any songs you no longer need stored in iCloud. GarageBand songs can be, and more often than not, are fairly big files. You can remove a song from iCloud by repeating step 2, but by selecting the song that's already uploaded. Instead of being asked if you want to upload, you will be prompted to confirm you want to remove the song from iCloud.

>>Unfortunately, at this time Apple is yet to provide an official way to use the iCloud stored files with GarageBand on OS X. You'll have to stick with syncing via iTunes to share with your Mac. Perhaps iCloud sync with OS X is a feature we will have to wait for OS X Mountain Lion to see.

Format windows 7 using Pendrive !!!!

Here is a small and working tutorial to install windows 7 from a bootable USB or Pendrive. These days most of them have a USB or Pendrive. So why don’t you try this trick.

Installing Windows 7 using a pendrive is very much faster than that from DVD/CD. You just need to follow some small steps to do this. You can keep this pendrive/USB drive for future installation of Windows 7.

If you are a beginner or don’t want to get messed up by typing in all commands, here is a Free Utility To Create A Bootable USB To Install Windows 7, Vista & Server 2008.

Notes: Make sure you have a Pendrive or USB drive with a minimum of 4 GB space and you have the Windows 7 installation DVD.

Steps are given below:

Format the Pendrive or USB drive in NTFS format first.
Press Windows key + R and type ‘cmd’ then enter u see cmd window(or open command promt directly from start menu)
Now type the following commands.

> diskpart (show in box no. 5)

> list disk (show in box no. 7)

You can see disk’s listed there. Note down the disk number of your pendrive eg. Here Disk 13 which highlighted by box no 8.

>select disk 13 (show in box no. 9)

>clean (show in box no. 10)

>create partition primary (show in box no. 11)

>select partition 1 (show in box no. 12)

>active (show in box no. 13)

>format fs=fat32 (show in box no. 14)

>assign (show in box no. 15)

>exit

Now insert the Windows 7 Installation DVD and to your DVD drive.
Come to return on CMD(command prompt). And type

> xcopy j:*.* /s/e/f r: (show in box no. 16)

Notes: here ‘j’ is drive name for DVD-ROM and ‘r’ is drive name of pendrive in your pc it’s may be different.

You can see that all files copy from DVD to Pendrive.(show in box no.17)
Plug / Insert your pendrive to your PC and restart the system.
Now Enter the Bios system accordingly by pressing the key delete.(This may vary some times it will be F2 or F12. It depends on the type of your system. Any how during the start up your system will display which key to press to enter the Bios).
Now select the USB/ Pendrive as the first boot driver.(Set the first boot priority to USB drive.)
Now save the settings in Bios and restart and you will be able to Install Windows 7 using that Pendrive.

Ice Cream Sandwich introduced Android users to a new font called Roboto. The unique font is now available for users to download and use on their personal computer, for free!

1.When working on Ice Cream Sandwich, Google aimed to create a font made specifically for high-resolution screens. The end result was Roboto. Up until now, Roboto was limited to Android Device running ICS. Late last week, Google posted it for all to download and use on their personal computer.

2.You can also download a ZIP file containing all 16 different variations of the font by visiting the Android Design site.

3.After downloading the font files, you can either open each design's file and install it to your system or by adding the files to your system's Font folder. The process varies depending on your OS, but generally double-clicking on the TTF file and then clicking on Install will do the trick.

4.Included with the download is a Specimen book laying out some general guidelines for designing with Roboto, as well as a note stating the fonts can be used "without restriction." In other words--have at it. Create your next school project, write your next love letter, or simply use it as your daily font.

How to easily install Windows software on Linux machines or linux os

Linux is great: it's cheap, it's stable, and it's secure. It can also be somewhat frustrating for those of us who want to install Windows software (especially games), as the Wine interface is still tough for beginners and some intermediate users. PlayOnLinux streamlines Wine installation and makes it much easier. Here's how to use it:

1.Install PlayOnLinux by searching for it in the Software Center for your distribution, checking http://www.playonlinux.com/en/download.html or typing this into a terminal window: sudo apt-get install playonlinux

2.Run PlayOnLinux. It is likely in the Games section of your software directory, but you can always search for it.

3.The first time you run it, you'll need to make sure that your Internet connection is working. PlayOnLinux will check for updates, which you will need to confirm before installing.

4.After that's taken care of, click Install. You should find a list of software categories full of programs, though paid software will require authentication. Select one and click Apply to install it.

5.A wizard pops up and guides you through the installation process. It's generally fairly painless, though you do occasionally have to make decisions or enter credentials.

That's it! This is great for playing Steam games and running other popular programs on Linux, and may add enough functionality for some users to consider making the switch.

How to extract high-quality icons from Windows files

It is nice trick for windows operting system.
Whether you need them to spruce up your presentation or you want to use them to help organize your files, large, colorful icon images can be handy tools. Many programs and files in Windows come packed with them, but it can be a pain to extract them -- especially the larger 256x256 size. BeCyIconGrabber is a free app that lets you pull them out of files and store them for later use. Here's how to use it:

Download the BeCyIconGrabber installer. It's about halfway down the page.

2. Run the app when you want to extract or retrieve icons. It's pretty straightforward; just browse your directories for files you think may contain icons you want, then select each file to see what it contains. There should be several tabs in the display area for the various sizes of icons contained in your file.

3.Right-click an icon you want to save, then select Save... and select a directory to store your newly freed icon. The default is to save all icons contained within your file, so you may want to deselect the rest.

4.If you've got a file you want to come back to, just click Favorites beneath the directory listing to add it to your list. Select the Favorites tab near the top left to review them and grab more icons.

That's it! This application is very easy to use and makes very large icons much easier to find and extract.

26. Mastering Metro Internet Explorer

Metro apps don't always work as you'd expect. Click the Internet Explorer tab, for instance, and you'll launch a full-screen version without toolbars, menus or sidebars, which like so much of Windows 8 may leave you initially feeling lost.

Right-click an empty part of the page, though, and you'll find options to create and switch between tabs, as well as a Refresh button, a "Find" tool and the ability to pin an Internet shortcut to the Start page.

27. Keyboard Shortcuts

Windows 8 has added few newer keyboard shortcuts, keeping the old ones intact.

WIN + Q for application search, WIN + W for settings search, WIN + F for files search, WIN + I for Settings charm, WIN + O for rotation lock, WIN + C to bring up simple Start menu and time/date, WIN + A or WIN + Space for switching keyboard layouts, WIN + SHIFT + C brings up the touch charms bar, WIN + Y to glance at your desktop, WIN + Z brings up the application bar.

It supports old shortcuts too – WIN + D activates desktop, WIN + R opens Run, WIN + L locks user, WIN + E opens Explorer.

28. Run two apps side by side

Metro apps are what Microsoft call "immersive" applications, which basically means they run full-screen - but there is a way to view two at once. Swipe from the left and the current app will turn into a thumbnail; drop this and one app displays in a sidebar pane while the other takes the rest of the screen. And you can then swap these by swiping again.

As an example of how you might use this, launch the Map applet and press Win+., then switch back to the Start screen and launch your desktop. And now you have a live, scrolling Map applet on the right side of your screen which is effectively working as a desktop sidebar, and you can access simply by moving the mouse there and clicking on it. If you need more space then drag the separator to the left and the desktop will shrink to a left-hand sidebar, but both apps remain active and working, so you can use Metro and regular desktop tools side by side.

29. Charms Bar

To bring up the Charms Bar (share, settings, shutdown, etc), hit the lower-left corner of the screen with the mouse, no clicking required or use WIN + C combination.

30. Spell check

Metro apps all have spellcheck where relevant, which looks and works much as it does in Microsoft Office. Make a mistake and a wavy red line will appear below the offending word; tap or right-click this to see suggested alternative words, or add the word to your own dictionary if you prefer.

31. Browse Title Groups

Move among tile groups on the Start screen using Page Up and Page Down keys.

32. Run as Administrator

Some programs need you to run them with Administrator rights before they'll work properly. The old context menu isn't available for a pinned Start screen app, but right-click one, and if it's appropriate for this app then you'll see a Run As Administrator option.

33. Close Metro Apps

Metro apps in Windows 8 do not have a Close button. Apps are suspended in the background when you switch. They are automatically killed if you require more system resources.

34. Uninstall easily

The latest Windows 8 apps are better than those in the Developer Preview, but they're still a fairly random selection and you're sure to find some that you'll rarely, if ever use. In which case right-clicking one of their Start screen tiles will display a few relevant options.

35. Checking Weather

An inbuilt weather checking helps you see current weather conditions in the selected city. Click Weather to launch the app. Right click and select Add City. Type the name of your nearest city, and choose it from the list, when it appears.

36. Apps and privacy

Once you've explored your built-in apps then launching the Windows 8 Store will provide easy to access to around 70 more: games, video and music apps, photo tools and more. While not bad for a beta, it's obviously a very small selection when compared to other app stores, so there's no need to worry particularly about privacy issues. It is worth keeping in mind that by default Windows 8 apps can use your name, location and account picture, though. But if you're not happy with that, it's easily changed. Press Win+I, click More PC Settings, select Privacy and click the relevant buttons to disable any details you'd rather not share.

37. Hibernate or Sleep

Hibernate or Sleep aren’t available in Windows 8 by default. To restore them, launch the Power Options applet (powercfg.cpl) and click “Choose what the power buttons do” in the left-hand panel. If you see a “Change settings that are current unavailable” link, then click it. Check the Sleep and Hibernate options. Click Save Changes.

38. Install anything

Most mobile platforms recommend you only install apps from approved sources to protect your security, and Windows 8 is the same: it'll only allow you to install trusted (that is, digitally signed) apps from the Windows store.

If this proves a problem, though, and you're willing to take the security risk (because this isn't something to try unless you're entirely sure it's safe), then the system can be configured to run trusted apps from any source. Launch GPEdit.msc, browse to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > App Package Deployment, double-click "Allow all trusted apps to install" and select Enabled > OK.

39. Restore Start Menu

Launch REGEDIT and browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer. Double click RPEnabled, and change it from 1 to 0 to remove Metro, the new Task Manager, Start menu and more. On the other hand, set RPEnabled to 2 to remove Metro, restore the Start menu but keep most of the other enhancements.

40. Administrative tools

Experienced Windows users who spend much of their time in one advanced applet or another are often a little annoyed to see their favourite tools buried by Windows 8. Microsoft have paid at least some attention, though, and there is a way to bring some of them back.

Open the Metro Settings panel (press Win+I), click the Settings link, change "Show administrative tools" to Yes and click back on an empty part of the Start screen. And it's as simple as that. Scroll to the right and you'll find a host of new tiles for various key applets - Performance Monitor, Event Viewer, Task Scheduler, Resource Monitor and more - ready to be accessed at a click.

41. Virtual Machine

Microsoft’s Hyper-V, an inbuilt virtualization feature, allows you to create and run virtual machines. Run OptionalFeatures.exe, select Hyper-V and click OK to enable the feature. On the Metro screen, find and click on the Hyper-V Manager tile to start exploring its potential.

42. Picture Password

Go to Control Panel. Click Users > Create a Picture Password to get started. Choose an image and create a combination. You will need to produce the same combination at the time of login.

43. Hide Ribbon

Windows 8 has a multi-purpose ribbon while browsing the file system. If you are not comfortable with it, you can remove it. Go to Run, type gpedit.msc and hit Enter. Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Explorer option. Double-click “Start Windows Explorer with the Ribbon minimised“, set the value to Enabled and click OK.

44. Mount ISO

Windows 8 now provides an inbuilt support for hosting an ISO file on a virtual drive. Right click on any ISO file, click Mount and the file will be mounted into a virtual drive.

45. Run 16-Bit App

Windows 8 has an inbuilt applet that can run any old 16-bit application. To enable, go to Control Panel > 16-Bit Application Support and Enable it.

46. To unlock the lock screen, double tap on your mouse or hit any key on the keyboard instead of dragging to the top. To bring up the “charms bar” (share, settings, shutdown, etc), hit the lower-left corner of the screen with the mouse – no clicking required or use winkey+c

47. In any app, right click to bring up the “app bar” to see everything you can do. To go back to the Start screen, simply use the Windows Key on your keyboard

48. Bump your mouse against the left side of the screen to see a thumbnail of your most recently used app. Use the scroll wheel to see all open modern apps

49. Modern apps don’t generally need to be closed — they are suspended when they’re not in view. If you really need to close them, use the task manager (via the tile or ctrl+shift+esc) to force quit

50. To search for anything on your system like applications, setting, or files, simply start typing from the Start screen, and the search box will automatically pop up or use winkey+f

Windows 8, a completely revamped version of Windows from Microsoft, is making lot of news recently in the technology realm. The much talked Metro Interface, enhanced functionalities and inbuilt security tools are making everyone ponder on what the next generation of desktop OS will offer to its end users.Out goes the Start menu, in comes the new touch-oriented Metro Start screen, new apps, new interface conventions - even experienced PC users may be left feeling a little lost.
As the Windows 8 Developer Preview is soon to in the wild, most people might find the new shell and user experience a little difficult to settle into. Here are a few simple tips and less-known features I’ve accumulated to help you master the new Start experience.

=>1. Lock screen

Windows 8 opens on its lock screen, which looks pretty but unfortunately displays no clues about what to do next.

It's all very straightforward, though. Just tap the space bar, spin the mouse wheel or swipe upwards on a touch screen to reveal a regular login screen with the user name you created during installation. Enter your password to begin.

=>2. File History

File History, an inbuilt feature in Windows, offers a simple backup and restore process. Go to System and Security in the Control Panel, select File History and enable it (off by default in Windows 8). It necessitates a supplementary drive to work.

=>3. Automatic Login

Don’t want to see the login screen anymore? Type "netplwiz" in Run dialog box and press Enter. It launches the User Accounts dialog. Unchecked the “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer” box and click OK. Enter the username and password of the account that you’d like to be logged in automatically. Click OK and reboot.

=>4. Basic navigation

Windows 8 launches with its new Metro interface, all colourful tiles and touch-friendly apps. And if you're using a tablet then it'll all be very straightforward: just swipe left or right to scroll the screen, and tap any tile of interest. On a regular desktop, though, you might alternatively spin the mouse wheel to scroll backwards and forwards.

And you can also use the keyboard. Press the Home or End keys to jump from one end of your Start screen to the other, for instance, then use the cursor keys to select a particular tile, tapping Enter to select it. Press the Windows key to return to the Metro screen; right-click (or swipe down on) apps you don't need and select Unpin to remove them; and drag and drop the other tiles around to organize them as you like.

=>5. Get to the oldstyle Windows Control Panel

What happened to the Windows Control Panel in Windows 8? It seems to have vanished. The Start button on the Desktop no longer launches a menu including the Control Panel. True, there's a Metro Control Panel app, but that doesn't include all the fine-grained controls and features of the old-style Control Panel, and it also doesn't let you change the Desktop.

You can get to the old style Control Panel relatively easily, though. In the Metro interface, click Control Panel, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click More settings, and you'll be sent to the Desktop's Control Panel, in all of its old style glory.

=>6. App groups

The Start screen apps are initially displayed in a fairly random order, but if you'd prefer a more organized life then it's easy to sort them into custom groups.

You might drag People, Mail, Messaging and Calendar over to the left-hand side, for instance, to form a separate "People" group. Click the magnifying glass icon in the bottom right corner of the screen to carry out a "semantic zoom", and you'll now find you can drag and drop the new group (or any of the others) around as a block.

=>7. Install from USB

Use the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool to install Windows 8 from an USB drive. Direct the program to your Windows 8 ISO file and it’ll create a bootable Windows 8 installer on USB drive.

=>8. Run 64-Bit Internet Explorer 10

Open Internet Explorer 10. Go to Internet options menu and select the Security tab. Click Enable 64-bit Mode box. Restart your browser.

=>9. Fast app switching between Metro and Desktop apps

There are several quick ways to switch between open apps, even if they're a mix of Metro apps and Desktop apps. Pressing Windows Key-Tab does the trick. But if you'd like to switch among apps without using the keyboard, you can do that as well. Move your mouse pointer to the far left of the screen, and a small icon appears of the last app you were running. Click it and you switch.

=>10. Simplified Start menu?

The Windows 8 Developer Preview had a very basic Start menu which you could access by swiping from the right side of a touch screen, or moving the mouse cursor to the bottom left corner of the screen. This has changed a little in the Consumer Preview: now you need to right-click in the bottom left corner (or hold down the Windows key and press X) for a text-based menu which provides easy access to lots of useful applets and features: Device Manager, Control Panel, Explorer, the Search dialog and more.

=>11. Metro screen capture

Want to capture a screen from Metro or one of its apps? If you try a Windows Desktop screen capture program, it may not work --- press the hot key for screen capture and nothing may seem to happen. Here's a workaround. Press the hot key, then get to the Metro desktop and click Desktop. At that point, you'll be sent back to the Metro screen you wanted to capture, and your screen capture program will spring into action --- at least, that's what happens to me using Snag-It. Your experience may differ.

=>12. Hide Ribbon

Windows 8 has a multi-purpose ribbon while browsing the file system. If you are not comfortable with it, you can remove it. Go to Run, type "gpedit.msc" and hit Enter. Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Explorer option. Double-click “Start Windows Explorer with the Ribbon minimised“, set the value to Enabled and click OK.

=>13. Find your applications

The Win+X menu is useful, but no substitute for the old Start menu as it doesn't provide access to your applications. To find this, hold down the Windows key and press Q (or right-click an empty part of the Start screen and select All Apps) to reveal a scrolling list of all your installed applications. Browse the various tiles to find what you need and click the relevant app to launch it.

=>14. Run 16-Bit App

Windows 8 has an inbuilt applet that can run any old 16-bit application. To enable, go to Control Panel > 16-Bit Application Support and Enable it.

=>15. Shut down Metro apps

Run a Metro app, and you'll notice one thing is missing --- there's no apparent way to close it down. Usually, this isn't a problem, just let it run in the background. But there are times when an open Metro app may drive you off the deep end. For example the Zero Gravity app has a soundtrack designed to set your teeth on edge. Switch out of the app, and the soundtrack still plays. The app will still run for a minute or so, but the sound will be off. But after a short while, the app itself will shut down.

=>16. Easy access

If there's an application you use all the time then you don't have to access it via the search system, of course. Pin it to the Start screen and it'll be available at a click. Start by typing part of the name of your application. Windows 8 Consumer Preview makes it more difficult to access Control Panel, for instance, so type Control. Right-click the "Control Panel" tile on the Apps Search screen, and click "Pin to Start".

Press the Win key, scroll to the right and you'll see the Control Panel tile at the far end. Drag and drop this over to the left somewhere if you'd like it more easily accessible, then click the tile to open the desktop along with the Control Panel window, and press the Windows key to return you to the Start screen when you've done.

=>17. Dark Theme

Are you a dark theme lover? Use the dark Windows 8 theme. Go to Control Panel > Ease of Access and enable the high contrast mode to see a dark themed Start screen.

=>18. Unlock

Locked down?
Double tap on your mouse or hit any key on the keyboard to unlock the lock screen instead of dragging to the top.

=>19. Charms Bar

To bring up the Charms Bar (share, settings, shutdown, etc), hit the lower-left corner of the screen with the mouse, no clicking required or use WIN + C combination.

=>20. App bar

Metro apps aim to be simpler than old-style Windows applets, which means it's goodbye to menus, complex toolbars, and many interface standards. There will be usually be a few options available on the App bar, though, so if you're unsure what to do then right-click an empty part of the screen or press Windows+Z to take a closer look.

=>21. Recently Use Apps

Smack your mouse pointer against the left side of the screen to see a thumbnail of your most recently used apps and then use the scroll wheel to see all open modern apps.

=>22. What's running?(Task Manager)

If you launch a Metro app, play with it for a while, then press the Windows key you'll switch back to the Start screen. Your app will remaining running, but as there's no taskbar then you might be wondering how you'd ever find that out.

You could just press Alt+Tab, which shows you what's running just as it always have. Holding down the Windows key and pressing Tab displays a pane on the left-hand side of the screen with your running apps.

And of course you can always press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to see all your running apps in the Task Manager, if you don't mind (or actually need) the extra technical detail.

=>23. Pin or Unpin Tiles

Right click on tiles on the Start screen to pin/unpin tiles or remove apps.

=>24. Close Metro Apps

Metro apps in Windows 8 do not have a Close button. Apps are suspended in the background when you switch. They are automatically killed if you require more system resources.

=>25. Closing an app

Metro apps don't have close buttons, but this isn't the issue you might think. Apps are suspended when you switch to something else so they're only a very minimal drain on your system, and if you need the system resources then they'll automatically be shut down.
If you want to close down an app anyway, though, move the mouse cursor up to the top of the screen. When it turns from the regular mouse pointer to the icon of a hand, hold down the left mouse button and drag it down the screen. Your app should shrink to a thumbnail which you can drag off the screen to close it.

The improved Nokia Belle user interface also features a visually improved browser for viewing and browsing high quality web videos, imaging applications with HD video recording at 30fps, the addition of a notifications bar, and simplified menus, and also offers a wider range of Microsoft apps such as OneNote and Lync.

Besides showing notifications for new messages, missed calls, missed reminders, mobile network and WiFi network, the new status area has 4 non configurable shortcuts for turning on and off mobile data, WiFi, Bluetooth and silent mode.

1. An iOS app, Fast Camera, aims to help people never miss an important photo again. When the user launches Fast Camera, your device will instantly start taking pictures.
Fast Camera, which is usually $0.99, is free in the App Store today, and today only.

2. Upon launching the app, you will begin to hear a camera shutter sound almost instantly. Fast Camera is already taking pictures, and it won't stop until you press the stop button. You can see the number of pictures that have been taken in the lower-left corner of the screen.

3. Once you press Stop, you can tap on the photo count to review your photos, or Start to resume taking pictures.

4. When reviewing the photos, you'll be able to save the good photos to your camera roll. Once you are done reviewing, the leftover photos will be deleted.

5.In the settings of Fast Camera you can change the picture quality, the default camera, and set a delay. The delay will begin counting down once you launch the app, followed by a barrage of photos being taken, again requiring you to press Stop to stop taking photos.

6.Fast Camera can take up to 800 photos a minute using the front camera on the iPhone 4S, and 720 photos per minute on the iPad 2.

7.I put the 800 photos a minute claim on the iPhone 4S to the test, and was able to take 783, 785, and 789 photos in 60 seconds. So I fell a bit short of the 800, but 789 photos in a minute is still very impressive.

Microsoft has teamed up with developer SEVEN to offer an official Hotmail app for Android, which gives users a simple, clean interface, push notification support and even lets you manage multiple Hotmail accounts from within the app. If your email needs haven't yet been assimilated by Google, it's a useful option.

9. WordPress for Android

WordPress for Android started out as independent creation wpToGo, before WordPress decided it liked it so much it bought it up - hiring the maker to develop it in-house. It's very feature-packed, with the latest version offering full integration with other apps, letting you spin content and send it directly to the app for easy updating. It could do with more image insertion tools, though.

A bit of a novelty, in thatGoogle Goggles lets you take photos and have Google analyse them and come back with a search results page for what it thinks you're looking at. There are plenty of messaging tools on Android, but Samsung's beats many of them by offering multi-platform support - with clients even available for older Samsung non-smart feature phones. It could be the ideal way to keep in touch with an out of touch relative. More "with it" users will be able to use its drawing, image sharing and social networking features.

13. Skyfire 3.0

The USP of the Skyfire browser is that it supports Flash content, popping up a little window when it detects an embedded YouTube video or something similar. The actual Flash business is handled by Skyfire's server, which does all the computery stuff, then sends the file to your handset. A bit clunky on slower Android phones, but it works like a dream on models with faster processors.Despite the arrival of Flash with Android 2.2, this is still relevant for those on phones and Android versions not able to support Adobe's Flash Player.

14. BBC News

While the BBC's Android iPlayer app is a bit on the disappointing side, the corporation's BBC News app is much more refined. There's a stylish grid-based front page, plus you're able to swipe from left to right to switch between stories in your chosen specialist category. A recent update also added a couple of Home screen widgets, too, plus the ability to submit your own news tips, as if the BBC was a small blog clamouring for content.

After the Android version of Dropbox, the next best solution for keeping all your 'business' in one place is Evernote - which lets you stash and sync all your text notes, voice memos and files on your phone and access them through a desktop computer.

He has been kind enough to also give the following step-by-step guide to unlock iPhone 4S using the bug in iOS 5 to work on T-Mobile USA:
Note: You will need to cut the T-Mobile SIM to micro-SIM size for it to fit iPhone 4S's SIM tray.
Note: Only AT&T iPhones can be unlocked with this trick.

Instruction::
Step 1: Insert original carrier AT&T SIM card

Step 2: Dial 611 for AT&T customer service hotline and drop the call
Step 3: Turn on Airplane Mode
Step 4: Take out AT&T SIM card
Step 5: Insert T-Mobile SIM card
Step 6: Make sure WiFi is off ( also tap on ‘Forget this Network” to make sure it doesn’t connect automatically later)
Step 7: Switch off Airplane Mode and iPhone will search for network. This is followed by the Apple splash screen appearing.

Step 8: Activation Required will be displayed on the screen
Step 9: EDGE network will activate automatically – notice the ‘E’ on the top left corner of the screen
Step 10: Wait for about 20-30 seconds and turn off the phone
Step 11: Turn on iPhone and the same Activation Required screen will be displayed
Step 12: When you see one signal bar, tap on Use Cellular Connection
Step 13: Eject SIM card
Step 14: Activation Required screen will be displayed the second time
Step 15: Insert SIM card

We usually set password for our memory card for privacy and security, but the common mistake every one does at least once in out life time forgetting password. If you set password for mobile memory card, then you should be not forget the password. Steps:
Step1: Install X-Plore in your mobile. If you want to download X-Plore search around internet you can download free trail.

Step2: Open your X-plore apps and Press 0(Zero) and check which you have marked the "show the system files"

Step3: Once you done that now go to the following path C:/Sys/Data/Mmcstore

Step4: Once you reached there you need to press "3" under option to set it in the Hex-viewer

Step5: See the third column you will able to see a line of code ! TMSD02G (c??"?x???8?5?8?5?8). Just check the character between the "?" it is your password ie: 85858

Notes: If you have not set the password, then you will not able to gain access to C:/Sys/Data

Turn your Android or iPhone into a controller for Flash games

WanderPlayer is the name given to a set of apps that you install on your computer and also your mobile device. These pieces of software work together to allow communication and create a gaming controller. The app is free and works for Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS.

Step 1: Head over to www.wanderplayer.com in your browser of choice. Click on the Download button on the right side of the window (Mac users can click "Not using Windows" to see a Mac download option).

Step 2: Once the first download is started, options to download the mobile version for Android or iPhone will appear. Click the button for your mobile platform and follow the instructions to download.

Step 3: Once both versions are installed, run the app on your PC or Mac.

Step 4: With the program running on your computer, run the app on your mobile device. Enter your e-mail address and name. This is only for feedback purposes but is recommended to help the developer improve the app.

Step 5: Under the More tab at the bottom of the screen (Android version), click on Consoles and select your computer from the list. Consoles can be selected in the Consoles tab on the iPhone version.

Step 6: To play a game, select the Play tab in the mobile version and select the game from the list.

Step 7: The game will launch in you computer's browser and you will be able to control it using the buttons that appear on your mobile device. Happy gaming!

BSNL launches Tablet At Low Cost Rs 3,499 + Data Plan

Overview:

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), which has launched three tablets on Friday, will offer attractive data plans with the tablets. According to the government owned teleco, all the tablets will come with bundled data plan of 5 GB for 60 days and after that consumers can do the recharge for Rs 750 for availing the same offer. This special offer of BSNL plan will be available till May 31.

BSNL yesterday launched three tablets manufactured by Noida based company, Pantel Technologies Private Limited (PTPL), in the Price range of Rs 3,499 and Rs 13,000. Entry level tablet, Penta IS701R is priced of Rs 3,499 and two mid-range tablets with 7 inch and 8 inch displays cost Rs 10,999 and Rs 13,500 respectively. All the three tablets will be available in BSNL outlets and retail stores across India from March 1.

Virendra Singh, managing director of Pantel Technologies, said to The Mobile Indian " We are also in talks with MTNL for providing the tablets with discounted data plans for consumers in Delhi and Mumbai."

RK Upadhyay, the chief managing director of BSNL, said, "BSNL and Pantel Technologies have come together to offer an attractive data plan with the exciting and feature-rich range of Tablets."

HOW TO Turn ON Your PC Using Your Android Phone

If you would switch on your PC as soon as you enter home. Perhaps you would either tap your keyboard or mouse, or press the power button. Wouldn’t it be much better if you find your PC ON when you enter your home? It’s possible provided you have an Android Phone and this tutorial will help you wake up your PC automatically using your Android Phone with a free app called PC Auto Waker. It sends a packet to your PC which wakes it up. To test it, you can download the app on your phone and hit the Wake All button on the app.

Configuring Auto Waker App:

Once you have downloaded the Auto Waker App, you need to configure the app and the PC for proper functioning. The PC you need to wake up must be connected to a broadcasting WIFI router.

step 1:

First you need to give a name to your COMPUTER(PC) which you usually give while Installing Windows. This name is used to identify your PC on the App. You can enter this name in the App. The name you enter need not be the same as that of your computer’s network name.

step 2:

Next step is the MAC address of the target computer. You can found this address on the command (cmd)window of your computer.

Go to Start->Run and type cmd . This opens your command line interface. Type ipconfig/all and hit Enter.

You can find the label Physical Address under the Connection-specific DNS Suffix. The MAC address appears to the right of the label Physical Address and it is a string of six two-digit numbers of the format ##-##-##-##-##-##. Enter this Address in the App.

step 3:

Finally you need to enter the SSID of the wireless network your computer is connected to.
After you have entered all the three credentials, you are done with it and you can place your computer in Sleep or Hibernate mode and wake it up using the Wake All button on the PC Auto Waker App. Still if it doesn’t work ,you need to read further below:(optional)

Configuring Your PC

If your Computer does not wake up, it’s because it is not set up to receive the Wake-On-LAN packet from the App. To set it up properly you need to restart your computer and view the BIOS Screen by entering the correct key which is shown at the start up. It varies for different operating systems. After you enter the BIOS Screen, you need to look for Wake-On-LAN option and enable it. It might also be “Power ON by External Modem” as BIOS screen varies with different computers.
After you have enabled it, you need to configure your Windows too. To do this change the settings of the Local Area Connection in your computer. In Windows, go to control Panel->Network and Internet Connections. Right click on the Local Area Connection and choose Properties. After this click on Configure as shown in the image below.

After clicking on Configure, you would find the Power Management Tab. The three checkboxes visible must be checked if they aren’t already
