On Wednesday Night, March 11, 2009 - Toxic TuneZ welcomed Metropolis Records to The podcast! And, what a lineup of artists they have brought to the table! This week's show pays Homeage to that with 6 artists in a row at the start of the show that are handled by Metropolis! The Birthday Massacre, Eisbrecher, KMFDM, Julien-K, Roxy Epoxy And The Rebound and Wumpscut start the show off with a BANG! Of Course, The Ting Tings start us off with *MY* anthem! lol. On the show today: Toxic TuneZ has moved from a teeny tiny group - to a PAGE on Facebook! Wanna join up as a fan? Go to the blog (http://toxicast.blogspot.com) and click on the "Find Us On Facebook" in the menu! I promise to make the Facebook page a unique experience than what's goin' on at the blog! And, with my friend StEC behind me as an admin, that won't be hard to do! Concert news: East Village Opera Company is coming to Medicine Hat on the 27th of March - and, next week's show will be all them! To kind of...pump ya up and get ya ready for the show! From what i've heard, they're AWESOME in concert - and, i hope i get the chance to check them out, go to the show and do a write-up on the blog! Also - on March 29, 2009, i will be helping Stig and a few others get the stage set for the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band happening at the Cypress Centre that day as well. If i get to see the concert, there will be a write-up about it as well. Not to mention all the pics i'm gonna be taking regardless! So, stay tuned to the site for more info as i get it! Lastly - sometime hopefully this week, Toxic TuneZ will be featured on CHAT News here in Medicine Hat. All the details have yet to be worked out, but, when i get them - you will too! The podcast has gone in a new direction - and, this is the first of many shows to come that continue to showcase why Toxic TuneZ is still Reigning! This is the promised 2nd episode, and has gone in a darker, more Gothic direction this time around. On the show this week is the best in Gothic, Metal, Hard Rock, Industrial and General Rock to finish off the show! Featured artists include Crystal Sunshine, Dyonisis, Three Days Grace, Nine Inch Nails, Celldweller and Patrizia. Also, 5 Canadian rock bands finish off the episode which include Theory Of A Deadman, Nickelback, Sloan, The Jack Union and Downtyme. Some news about the "new direction" for the podcast is here as well! Not to mention more info on the upcoming CD release by The Tragically Hip - Which will be released next month, on April 7. Tox is BACK! With a new MIC! YAY!! lol. I don't know how much more enthused i can get. The first show since the beginning of February - and, new music added is the key in this episode. New music from Acronycal, Brokencyde, Dala, New Found Glory, Cinema Bizarre, The Classic Crime and Innerpartysystem! Not to mention 20 some other songs! The podcast is a little longer today - almost 2 hours! That's what happens when ya give Tox the mic! There's TONS more news and info on here - and, we get a little more in depth with the 2009 Juno awards - as well as some more info on New Found Glory's new CD "Not Without A Fight" Also - Three Days Grace has a new Concert available on iTunes. "Live at The Palace 2008" is now ready to buy! The concert was filmed live in Detroit, and includes some backstage footage and more! This is an excellent concert to buy while you're waiting for the 3rd release from them! Lastly - tonight sometime, there will be a new show as well! That's right - 2 new episode's rolled into 1 day! And, in the next week, there will be a new chat room powered by Meebo that will be added! I'm just contemplating on how i want to go about it - though, it will be live sometime next week! New year's eve is here - that means 2009 is just around the corner, and also that the podcast is in full throttle party mood today! Honestly, could ya go out with a bang by playing soft music? I've thrown ya a couple curveballs in this show - everything from new hip-hop and pop, to a little bit of a "Classic KO" for ya as well! And, keeping with the tone of the night, 2 songs that end the show very nicely. The playlist will be up ASAP! If it's not on the site when ya get there, please be patient! I know everyone wants to know what songs have been included, or, what they're listening to. Never fill! Let's set a record tonight and tomorrow with this episode! Episode 109: A Celtic Christmas

Well, going at a new angle this year for Christmas, and that angle is about showing you and introducing you guys to an Irish Celtic band, simply known as "Celtic Woman"...i dunno why it's not plural, there's more than 1 of 'em lol. But, nonetheless, these gals certainly do fill the Celtic scene pretty good! I saw this concert earlier tonight, and was in awe! This CD, and Concert was recorded in October 2006 for PBS. broke a long-standing record when it surpassed the 68 week run of the original Celtic Woman album. The album's main vocalists are the same five women who were first featured on the PBS music special of the same name: M�av N� Mhaolchatha, �rla Fallon, Lisa Kelly, Chlo� Agnew and M�ir�ad Nesbitt. The group's repertoire ranges from traditional Celtic tunes to modern songs. It's pretty standard for Christmas songs, and includes many favourites, including "O Holy Night" (How the show begins), to "The Christmas Song", among others. Thrown in for good measure though are a few irish traditional songs ("Panis Angelicus", "Don Oiche D I Mbeithil (that Night in Bethlehem)") and, they finish with a nice, kind of jazzy routine with "Let it snow" - an altogether very awesome CD and concert! Well, not the 2 week break i would've wanted, but, a break nonetheless! Making up for the 2 weeks off is the first episode of 2 of "unscheduled" shows. That's right - 2 unscheduled, including the 1 on Saturday! 3 new shows this week! Aren't ya guys in luck, eh? On the show this week is a truly Canadian touch. 3/4's of the songs are Canadian! This whole not having a mic thing really...BLOWS! I wanted to do a mic show today, but, now, the mic jack in my computer is...FUBAR lol. Anyways, regardless of that, the show is continuing without a hitch! New music this week from Nickelback and Theory Of A Deadman. Nickelback's New CD "Dark Horse" Scheduled for release on November 18. Other music featured from RobiSuicide, Amanda Marshall, Gym Class Heroes, Cartel and The Academy Is...
