We decorate kids' rooms!

Spring is coming and its time to re-vitalize your home. We chose to focus today on a very underrated way to personalize and customize the rooms of your home….wall graphics!

We examine two different households. One couple that is about to have a baby and needs solutions for their nursery. We featured that one last week on the site. Now, we’re taking a look at OUR family…..crammed into a two-bedroom apartment! This happens a lot, especially in urban settings, so what can you do to personalize such a crampt space? To add onto that, what if you have a little boy and little girl sharing a room?! How do you express each one’s personality?

Wall stickers are re-stickable graphics that..well go on the wall, right? In this case we’re featuring Star Wars: Clone Wars and Littlest Pet Shop Wall stickers from Room Mates Peel and Stick!

The Littlest Pet Shop wall stickers are adorable and our daughter had a fun time telling daddy where she wanted each one to go. She was able to personalize her little wall space, which has made her so happy. We also included some really cheap wall stickers from the Dollar Tree to create her ‘Princess Anya’ bit at the head of her bed. You can see the results below…

My son’s area was a mess! He had a few posters strewn about and it just wasn’t anything uniform. We settled on Star Wars: The Clone Wars for the design and boy were we pleased. The lightsabers glow in the dark, which made for a very happy boy. Again, we used Dollar Tree wall stickers to do the name and the Robots at the head if his bed!

The rest of the room has wall graphics from Gamer Graffix……the kids both like Ghostbusters and Lego Batman…

You can see clearly by the above photos that you can really personalize and customize a small living space with these great wall stickers! They typically retail for $15 or less each, so it fits most any budget!

Highlights include the 12″ Anakin Skywalker (Clone Wars) and Gentle Giant Captain Rex Animated Maquette. Plus, check out the Motu NECA 6″ Mini Statues. They’re neat and colorful, except for Grizzlor…he’s just a fuzzy wuzzy mean ‘ol bear.

A nice selection of Master Replicas items are back in stock! Incuding Leia and Luke blasters from A New Hope. These sabers and blasters have been opened, but we need to have a little fun playing Imperials and Rebels around the office (am I right?).

Today Toy Legion is taking a look at the Sideshow Collectibles 12″ GI Joe Cobra Commander and the Cobra Officer.

If you’ve ever owned a 12″ figure from Sideshow, then you know exactly what to expect in the name of quality. These are finely detailed and sculpted. The clothing is fantastic and accurate. These are the baddest-ass GI Joe figures you’ll ever see!

Product Backstory

He leads the force of COBRA, a ruthless terrorist organization that has become a thorn in the sides of the GI Joe team and threat to the entire world. He has legions of soldiers, millions of dollars and an arsenal of state of the art equipment at his disposal, yet the man remains a mystery. Cobra Commander is as arrogant as he is ruthless, and if there is a face of evil, it lies under a blue shroud. Bent on world domination, Cobra Commander cuts a swath through freedom, liberty, and justice. He will stop at nothing to push his forces to victory. The only thing in his way: GI Joe.

Cobra Officer

The Cobra Officer is featured with his helmet and fatigues. The helmet is removable to reveal a hooded head.

Product Backstory: At the forefront of any COBRA strike are the Officers of the COBRA infantry. Fiercely loyal to COBRA ideals and unwavering in their commitment, these are the individuals who have stood out among squadrons of hardened and sadistic troopers. Their cunning lust for power propels them to commit heinous acts on the battlefield in an effort to be noticed by COBRA’s top command. Once selected as a candidate for Officer, intensive physical and psychological training morphs them into effective and elite field leaders. Expert training in all aspects of modern warfare and leadership allows the Officers to lead their units in effective, daring and atrocious acts of hostility and intimidation around the globe. Proving their worth through their actions, these are the selected few the Commander relies on to spread his gospel of world domination. COBRA Officers are held responsible not only for their own actions but for the actions of those serving within their unit. Officers demand the same loyalty that the COBRA Commander demands from them. Should they suspect any lack of this from the troopers serving them, the punishment they deal can be swift and extremely severe. These are the most insidious and evil of the legions of troopers serving COBRA. They aren’t promoted for their good looks……..COBRA!

We decorate a nursery!

Spring is coming and its time to re-vitalize your home. We chose to focus today on a very underrated way to personalize and customize the rooms of your home….wall graphics!

We examine two different households. One couple that is about to have a baby and needs solutions for their nursery. This couple resides in a two bedroom rental home. They have limited ability to customize their surroundings beyond a new paint job. They have a desire to express some personality and warmth in their new baby’s room, so they turn to wall stickers!

Wall stickers are re-stickable graphics that..well go on the wall, right? In this case we’ve narrowed down this great tree from Room Mates Peel and Stick!

We got the wall graphic online and went to work! They spent the day painting their new baby girl’s room pink and getting the crib ready to go. When the graphic was placed on the wall it just seemed a little too simple, so to liven up the decore we got creative. The tree was placed in each corner, to give more personality to the entire wall. The results can be seen below…

We highly recommend this method of decoration. Your walls can grow with your little one, you can simply order new stickers to replace the old ones! Keep your packaging and you can store them for the next time you wish to use them, or re-sell them!

You can purchase this and other Room Mates Peel and Stick product on their official website.

Review courtesy of our network site: www.PixarCollector.com

Is it an unchartered mission in secret space? No, its BUZZ LIGHTYEAR! Lego has newly obtained the Toy Story license. Kids and Adults alike just fainted! You can only imagine what Lego is going to do with it, right? Imagine no more, because these toys are starting to hit shelves at Super Target and Toys ‘R Us locations, not to mention the online Lego store.

Today we’re going to feature the Construct-a-Buzz. The most important part of any Lego set, in this reviewer’s opinion, is the mini-figure. Its what lasts in your mind with a Lego set and what you want to ensure that you have for your collection. This Construct-a-Buzz comes with..wait for it….and Alien mini-figure! Its adorable. Plain and simple.

How difficult is the set? Not very. The recommended age range is 7-14. My 7 year old son got ahold of it and had it built in minutes, so its perfectly on-target for the age recommendations.

How does it look? You can see from the pictures…its amazing. Lego has really outdone themselves, like usual. He reminds me of the huge Lego statues you sometimes see as a promotion for their various licenses. He’s a great homage to Lego and Toy Story sitting on your shelf. Its great for a collector, because he stays together well and doesn’t lose pieces easily. Its great for kids because, well they can build and play with their own Lego Buzz Lightyear! Whats not to love, right?

The price point on this item is around $25

About the product: A limited edition of 1000. Sideshow Collectibles proudly presents ‘The Duel of Light and Fire’ – Gandalf vs. Balrog Diorama, the newest piece to join The Lord of the Rings Diorama series. This powerful diorama depicts Gandalf’s selfless act as he places himself between the demon Balrog and the Fellowship of the Ring. Each piece is cast in high quality polystone, hand-finished, and hand-painted to exacting standards. ‘The Duel of Light and Fire’ – Gandalf vs. Balrog Diorama is a fine addition to any The Lord of the Rings collection.

Our Take: The dioramma features the epic scene eluded to in the Fellowship of the Ring, but shown fully in the Two Towers. Gandalf and the Fellowship are crossing through the dark dwarf-controlled mountain inards around the bridge of Khazad Dum, when they encounter an ancient evil…the Balrog! Gandalf battles with the creature, but his grey wizard magic isn’t enough, the two fall into the deep depths of the earth engaged in an epic battle that eventually evolves Gandalf into a white wizard!

The Balrog has been rarely featured in Lord of the Rings merchandise, until now. The detail work on this full-scale dioramma is absolutely breathtaking. The Balrog is featured in all its glory with heat enfused flesh and an encompasing wingspan. Gandalf is a tiny addition, to show the scale difference between the two characters

When we saw pics of this one online it wasn’t that impressive. Pictures honestly can’t do it enough justice. This is one of the most amazing pieces I’ve ever seen and its definately a tops for Sideshow Collectibles. They really outdid themselves on this one.

Its large..I won’t lie to you. About 18″ in height alone, not to mention the width. I recommend having a large, enclosed display case for it or a VERY sturdy bookcase for it to go on the top of, but you must own this piece before its gone. The Hobbit is coming out in a year or two, and Funko is already producing some LOTR product, so Lord of the Rings fever is going to strike again! I cannot recommend this one enough!
