Back up your database! Oh, and double check your checked boxes before you hit delete……

Anyway I am starting from scratch here post wise but I will re-post some of my recent work here over the coming days. I probably won’t re-iterate too much as far as processing goes but I do feel they are worthy of publishing again.

One bonus with my mishap is the fact that I have thoroughly trimmed the site. Granted some of it needed weeding but I wouldn’t recommend using that method. Good job it’s not my day job depending on it!

Some brief notes on the processing:

1. Minor adjustments made to brackets (WB etc) in Lightroom.
2. Five JPEGs tone-mapped in Photomatix Pro.
3. Flat result from Photomatix taken into Photoshop.
4. Used my newly acquired Photo Suite 7 (onOne) to enhance different areas both global and local.
5. Some minor cropping/straightening.
6. Vignette added (reduced opacity).
7. Done!

Due to me being careless and a little tired (work xmas bash the night before!) I didn’t realise the delete database checkbox was in fact checked!

Now I normally back up my database regularly except I haven’t recently! So suffice to say I have some work to do to rebuild my site but rest assured I am on it!

Lesson learned – back up! Oh, and back up again!!
