After looking over TPRweb, I realized I’m falling short of my goals (no excuses right) and one other thing I noticed is the dominance of SOC on the site. TPRweb was never meant to be a platform for me to promote SOC. Sure I wanted people to know about it, because it’s an alternate source of income, but I never wanted it to be the focus of TPRweb.

With that in mind I will be moving the posts to weekly updates.

Some of the things I am working on for our readers is ways to use WordPress to build an affiliate network that can be placed on auto pilot. I have also been researching public domain information. My goal there is to bring you as much free resources as I can find for obtaining public domain material that can be compiled or resold.

So there you have it … a quick update for TPRweb … leave your comments and let me know what you would like more information on and I will add it to my research.

Enjoy … Scott

Well I managed to stay with the daily updates until day 24 … getting sick, and a number of other issues I can use for excuses and that’s all they are … excuses.

Bottom line … I let things slip … I did however keep plugging away with SOC. I managed to send out more cards, I have a leasing agent at a former employer interested (will be doing a gift card walk through next). Found several markets where I’m developing campaigns to send cards as a marketing piece for web design. If I don’t get them as clients for web design, perhaps they’ll become senders of cards.

Did some adjustments to TPRweb mainly for SEO, and researched topics for future articles.

Lots of stuff happening, and I’m back on track with the updates.

Enjoy … Scott

You don’t have to sell things with Envato to make money with Envato.

In this article, I uncover alternative methods to creating a side income that don’t require a graphics degree.

I’ll have to admit, my first thought when I got the idea for this article was to outline the steps and what it takes to make money as a publisher / seller with Envato. Someone who creates items to be sold in the Envato network of sites.

If you’re not familiar with the Envato network then I would suggest you block out some time in your day before exploring. I promise you this … you will burn through time as you jump from one cool thing to the next.

My first experience with the Envato network is as a subscriber to the TutsPlus network. The tutorials created at TutsPlus are some of the best tutorials I have come across online. The $9/month subscription was a no brainier for me, and has paid for itself many times over as I have learned so much there. BTW … the TutsPlus network is another way you can earn money from Envato. If you’re good at writing or creating video tutorials they have several TutsPlus categories where they pay you for tutorial. TUTS – PSD – NET – VECTOR – AUDIO – AE – ACTIVE – CG & PHOTO

Envato also operates several marketplace networks – 3Docean – AudioJungle – ActiveDen – CodeCanyon – GraphicRiver – ThemeForest & VideoHive – where users from all over the world create items related to each of the networks. ActiveDen is where Envato got it’s start and was once called FlashDen (a more fitting name) but after heavy pressure form Adobe Envato changed the name.

As a web designer I often find myself browsing through many of the networks. It’s not always for the lack of skills, but rather for the speed of creation. If someone has already created a flash component that only costs $10 but could take a few hours to create, that’s a plain ole’ GOOD deal in my eyes.

There are some extremely skilled people selling their creations with Envato, but when I started researching what it would take to make money selling on the Envato network, I was pleasantly surprised to come across a free report (pictured at the top) by Jeff Hendrickson titled – How To Make Money From The Envato Marketplace – there’s no strings attached with this free report. Of course Jeff has links to many paid products in the report and I’m sure that’s how he’s able to offer it for free. However, don’t let that stop you from grabbing a copy of your own.

Basically Jeff shows you how you can setup a WordPress blog to promote and profit as an affiliate of the Envato Network. If done correctly you could create a nice side income from the commissions.

The report has sparked many more ideas as well as helped me tweak a few things I had overlooked here at TPRweb.

I’ll be referring back to his book often as I write about some of the ideas that have been sparked by his report.

Enjoy … Scott

In my opinion I would consider him the BEST EVER, and while there will be many who disagree and point out other great marketers, the fact remains, Frank is the ONLY marketer that I have allowed to stay in my email in box.

South Park style image of Frank Kern by Adam Underhill – find more here – and be sure to visit Adam’s Facebook page.

One thing I have learned over the years of being online is there are a lot of great Internet marketers and I have subscribed to many of them. It doesn’t take long however for their emails to go un-noticed because many (if not all) have proved every email has an intended purpose. An agenda to entice me to purchase something from them. I’m not saying they are all evil people trying to take my money, but when I lack the funds to purchase their products, I just get discouraged because if I had the money I would certainly buy from them.

Frank on the other hand has always provided something that I could use right away whether I chose to purchase from him or not. His style of marketing is upfront and he always over delivers. He’s just one of those guys that everyone wants to be like.

Frank’s latest product launch is coming with some exceptional free content right from the start. It’s this type of marketing that leaves me with the opinion that Frank is a pure genius. Give people something so big, that they can create revenue and have the money needed to purchase the product in the launch.

I would suggest if you haven’t already looked at Frank’s latest video to stop by and get your copy of his free 4 day cash machine, I guarantee it will be the best investment of your time. The 4 day cash machine is something that any business can use to make extra cash from their existing customers. It’s a proven cut and paste marketing campaign Frank and his customers use all the time, he’s giving it away at no cost, no strings (except your email address).

Your path to Frank Kern’s latest video.

Enjoy … Scott

Funny thing happened … I was sent an email asking why I was writing blog posts for every day as a SendOutCards distributor, especially since there wasn’t really anything significant to report about. I was asked “what is the value to your readers?”

That was a tough question to answer since it was obvious this person didn’t see any value in what I have been posting. I doubt I was going to be able to convince her otherwise. I also wondered if she had actually read all the posts, because I’m pretty sure I mentioned why I decided to do this.

Anyway … my answer was simply to become consistent in something.

I have had far too many failed attempts to grow a successful blog, and one thing I can count on is the first days don’t get much attention, so if I write about things that don’t have as much content, it would be better to do it at the beginning right? Don’t get me wrong … I’m not saying I won’t pay attention to the creation of valuable content, after all, I understand if there’s not valuable content in at the start … how do I expect people to come back once they have visited.

Thus, I will do my best to accomplish both … valuable content, as well as a way for me to stay consistent with regular updates.

My activity for today consisted of answering some questions my boss had regarding SendOutCards and getting set up to start the daily 8. One may wonder why I haven’t started the daily 8 sooner, and my decision had to do with making sure I could stay consistent with my activities.

Do you recognize a theme to this post? … Consistency!!

Enjoy … Scott

Still plugging away with a little each day. My goal is to do something everyday to benefit my business.

Went through more of the training material online through my upline, listened to past conferences.

I got out the custom font order form, and ended up having to print several copies. It appears no matter how many times I practiced the letters on paper, I ended up messing up something along the way. Then again, I am extremely picky, so what may look off to me wouldn’t have been noticed by someone else, but that’s just me

I am my own living proof that direct sales & network marketing is certainly about playing the numbers. I was listening to an audio the other day where a lady was telling a good friend of hers about the company she was involved with and the products she sells. No high pressure, just a mention and she moved on to talking about other things. Every now an then the two would meet up for coffee and again the conversation just came up in a brief mention.

Just a little over a year later the friend signed up with the company and sited it was just about the timing, she was ready and she went on to be one of the top producers.

This got me thinking about my own situation … I heard about SOC in March of 2008, but the timing wasn’t right. From that very first time I was introduced, I kept my eye open for people talking about the company, or would occasionally do research on the company. The sad part about this delay however, is I ended up searching for an upline sponsor because the person who originally talked to me about the company didn’t follow up, not even a simple call or email. This guy said he was going to send me a card so I could see the quality, the card never came.

The purpose of this article is to encourage to stick with it, don’t give in to what you see, there will come a time when your momentum will be built up strong enough that you won’t have to worry. Believe you me … I have to keep telling myself this everyday. One of the things that always kept me from success is looking around too often and not seeing the results I wanted (more like not seeing instant riches) I would get easily discouraged and when ever something that looked more promising came along I would jump to that new offer … [SQUIRREL]

As I have mentioned before, I look at this time as the time I am laying down a solid foundation for the success of my business. Especially since time is something I am trying to conquer, I am determined to stay the course and not be moved by what I don’t see.

Enjoy … Scott

I had originaly set out to add as many addresses as I could find from people I have done business with or associated with online, but as happens often I got side tracked.

This wasn’t a totally bad sidetrack, because it opened my eyes to the fact that when I was selling on eBay I have a list of customer who purchased products from me. The sad thing … I don’t know if I have a copy of that list and too much time has passed for PayPal to have the records.

I know I have a copy of an excel download on one of my older drives that has my database of TPRweb customers so I will be looking over that to see if I can reconnect with any of them.
