New episodes of the show return this week with a special treat (or a special torture, depending on how you look at it.) Our fabulous Sam will be intermittently unavailable for hosting duties on the show due to a full and exiting life which takes up a great deal of time. However, the amusing and loquacious Peter Dahl Collins (drummer, bass player, and producer of the British Industrial Pop band crashtv) has been kind enough to step in for co-hosting duties. Not surprisingly, despite temporary hosting changes, we bring you the usual fabulous acoustic fare with a worldwide roster of talented artists. Artists debuting on the show this week include the lovely and talented Lizzie Nunnery (UK), and Moby.MK.II (Pakistan). When the site started, we were able to con many of the magnificent artists that Sam and I had been playing for the two years we had been DJing independently into one fine beginning show from the site. It's been a long time since our last show, and we hope that you have all been waiting breathlessly to hear the music we have in store for you! We mix it up genre and location-wise this week with show favorites Dan Tindall (Northern Ireland), David Elias (Hawaii), Ross Crean (Chicago) and Christopher Martin Hanson (San Francisco). Then, we throw in new IndieHeart.com favorites Ceili Moss (Belgium), and Our Funeral Forgotten (Colorado) for what we think is a terrific worth waiting for. David Elias brings us a new live tune with some hot sax, Ross Crean gives us another from his latest celtic CD, Blackwater, and Our Funeral Forgotten demonstrates that even the roughest rockers need to take it back to the basics every so often. The show runs the acoustic gamut this time (as it often does) with a very traditional Russian Hurdy Gurdy tune performed by Andrey Vinogradov to the extremely contemporary (and really only marginally acoustic, we must admit) song from Australia's Ginja Roe. Melvern Taylor makes his second utterly fabulous appearance on the show this week, because we can't get enough of his music (who could, really?). Will Derryberry, hailing from California, leads off with his debut appearance on the show. We predict Will may soon be too big for us, so make sure you take a listen on the show while you can! The show also includes Wil Maring's pretty country-flavored folk and the usual exceptional fare from Canadian composer/musician, Marc Descoteaux. One click subscription!
