He lives with his mother, Birdot, a few farm animals and plenty of mud. He’s quickly approaching his thirteenth birthday and Birdot decides that it’s time to give Finn his only shot at making something of with life. An apprenticeship with a shopkeeper in Fish Bone Harbor. Fish Bone Harber (FBH for short) is the closest thing to civilization or a definition of a town to Finn and Birdot.

So on a chilly, wet October morning, Finn and Birdot pack up their meager belongings and set out to sail to FBH. It’s there that Finn begins the next step in his journey.
