We find our hero, Finn, at home in a little, dreary outpost far from big cities or towns. He lives with his mother, Birdot, a few farm animals and plenty of mud. He’s quickly approaching his thirteenth birthday and Birdot decides that it’s time to give Finn his only shot at making something of with life. An apprenticeship with a shopkeeper in Fish Bone Harbor. Fish Bone Harber (FBH for short) is the closest thing to civilization or a definition of a town to Finn and Birdot.
