Habits create our day. Days create our lives.

It is important to form a great morning habit. This is the building block we must begin with. When you wake up, have a routine that will increase the positivity of your day. There are a few tips

-excercise

-eat healthy

-meditate

-read

-smile, have a quote

-read something positive

There are infinite possibilites…. decide what routine suits you and your lifestyle best, but make sure you are aware of the routine you use to catapult your day.

Also, make sure you continually read positive thinking books. The more you read on positive thought, and wisdom about happiness and tapping into the energies of the universe, the more power you will have to lead the life you want to live.

I believe that there is energy. This is the source.

Than we are 2 pillars. Mind and Body.

The lesson of the 2 pillars is the greatest foundation introductory lesson we have at TM. The Mind creates our world, the body gives us the ride.

To enjoy life…. we must tune into our 2 pillars. We must take care of them, and be mindful of their existence.

When we speed through life… We abuse our pillars by simple lack of awareness and respect.

The answer to everything that arises.

Seek Knowledge. Take care of you.

1. Seek Knowledge.

Constantly learn…. Learn everything. To always be open to growth makes you not an asshole. Books, internet…. any knowledge you seek is there….. specifics aren’t important… what is important that you want to learn daily.

2. Take care of you.

Excecise is amazing… make it your church, temple, place of worship…. this is true religion. Celebrate yourself by enhancing… run, work out, yoga, play sports, meditate.

Eat well….. Just pay attention to your ride… its the only one you will have on earth, and if you take care of it… it will only bring you better things.

Creating Silence from Chaos

Post written by Leo Babauta.

We are often afraid of silence, because its emptiness feels idle, boring, unproductive, and scary. And so we fill our lives with chaos, noise, clutter.

But silence can be lovely, and therapeutic, and powerful.

It can be the remedy for our stress and the habits that crush us.

If we want quiet in our lives, how do we create it?

I’ve been exploring this myself. As a father of six kids, I have to admit that I don’t always have silence in my life. That’s not a complaint — I love the messy noise that my family brings — but silence can be a welcome refuge from that noise at times.

I create silence by subtracting, and not filling the resulting emptiness withe noise or clutter.

And so my life is a constant experimentation with subtracting. When I’ve subtracted, and learn to love the empty silence, I subtract some more. Subtraction is a beautiful process.

Prefer subtraction over addition.

Learn to be content with little, or nothing.

Realize that silence is beautiful.

Find yourself in the empty space that results.

Empty a room, and put almost nothing back except that which produces quiet.

Speak less, listen more, contemplate even more.

Walk in silence. Watch the leaves quiver, fall in silence, whisper in the wind.

Sit and do nothing. Listen to your mind make noise in the silence, allow it to subside.

Eschew video, iPods, books, the Internet, mobile devices, social networks, and other purveyors of noise.

Be quiet, so that life may speak.

been a little since a lesson has been here… but this lesson is vitally important…

fall in love with the world daily.

Many people throughout history would say falling in love is the best moment they had in their short time on earth. But falling in love is an emotion that doesn’t have to always pertain to people. When you fall in love with life on a daily basis, you can achieve bliss. Take it slow, apreciate the air you breathe….

appreciate the oceans you swim in… appreciate the sorrow…. appreciate the delicacy, appreciate the face that you are in a sphere that floats somehow in black space, surrounded by stars, that rotates based on a moon and a sun

a moon that has been discovered, but a sun that can’t even be inspected closely without dissinigrating. Not how you spell it , but o well. All I am saying, is there are so many things you can fall in love with daily, so do it.

I have to remind myself of this constantly. Everything that happens, happens. When we have a bad day, or things don’t go our way, our first inclination is to cling to our frustration. Frustration can hinder our progress. Things will not always go your way, but we can control how we handle these situations. If we pay attention to what is happening on our path, the good and the bad, we can seek to learn something from any situation. This gives us ultimate control. And once we control our reaction to situations, we invite positive results for our future. I know life can be overwhelming and unfair and can exhaust you at times. And bad days just can’t end soon enough. But remember to pay attention to the path. Remember to great every situation with open arms. The more we except and adapt , instead of fight life, things will begin to work out in our favor. The important thing is to control your emotions and reactions…. we can learn something from everything that happens to us, and that is what will make us great.

There are going to be many reoccurring lessons at Traveling Minds. But this might be the most. READ!

It is incredible. In a world full of unlimited knowledge, only 3% of humans have a library card. We have access to years and years of knowledge. Yet,

we don’t even take advantage of it! On the internet, we have a link of culture, civilization, and knowledge. Yet, Yahoo, Facebook, and gossip columns take up many peoples daily habits. What we feed our mind we become. It is important to step back and realize what you feed your brain with. Is it gossip? Facebook status’s and popularity attempts? Trashy TV? Becoming aware of what you feed your mind can help you steer your life in a direction very few of us know exists. Reading can help you. Read books that interest you, read books about your passion…. don’t know your passion, read books on how to find your passion. There are unlimited sources of knowledge to help us grow in positive directions. Reading and acquiring knowledge is the first step in becoming fulfilled. How can you ever become bored with a wealth of knowledge available for your entire life?

“To read is to fly: it is to soar to a point of vantage which gives a view over wide terrains of history, human variety, ideas, shared experience and the fruits of many inquiries.”

Life can move in many different directions, and the choices you make can lead to vary different results.

It is important when understanding vision, and putting that vision to reality. Our thoughts ultimately portray our reality.

Not only does this make sense philosophically, it makes entire sense scientifically. For our minds are merely interpreting

our surroundings.

The power of positive thought is the most immense power we can tap into. Often in life we are surrounded by a different

mood on a daily basis. It is important if you get scared, anxious, negative, stressed….. that you turn the corner

imeediately. Do not get sucked into energy that is not constructive to your happiness. When you feel close to perfect,

in tune, happy, trustworthy in life or faith, continue to follow this energy. Don’t treat this awareness as a path, treat

it like a ray of light, a wave of water…. something that flows and is indestructible, resilient, and can be firm at the same time like bamboo.

When we learn to ride these waves of positive emotions, we learn to ride the waves of positive situations and events.

I hope we all can be blessed and flow on a path where challenges are greeted with smiles, and protection is granted

through thought. The world will become beautiful with us.
