Ikat style vary according to the village and the gender of the wearer, and some styles are reserved for special purposes.

In parts of Nusa Tenggara, high-quality ikat is part of a bride’s dowry. Until recently on Sumba, only members of the highest clans could make and wear ikat textiles.

The whole point travel junkies are free people. These guidelines are what you need to really become and embellish your travel junkie lifestyle, but travel junkies, remember, are signs for freedom.

Traveljunkieindonesia.com – Hi travel junkies, I have some very exciting news to share!

I am a big fan of White Shoes & The Couples Company. Wooooohoooooo… White Shoes & The Couples Company Sings Indonesian Folk Songs.

EP Special Edition. Only a limited amount of 1000 copies made. Series numbered. Stamped from number 0001 to 1000. In this Mini Album contains 5 songs, namely: Jangi Janger, Tjangkurileung, Te O Rendang O, Lembe-Lembe, and Tam Tam Buku.

For the most part, the recording process of this minialbum was specifically done live at Lokananta recording studio in Solo, from 25 to 28 October 2012.

This was done as a tribute to the heyday of Indonesian pop music and, of course, to Lokananta. This collection of recorded songs is like a journal that chronicles our experiences in reviving the sparkle of the golden era in the Indonesian pop music yesteryear.

It has an oeuvre by the legendary Pasundan artist Mang Koko Koswara in “Tjangkurileung”, a classic Malay nursery rhyme type of song “Tam Tam Buku” a.k.a “Trang Trang Kolantrang” or “Chock Chock Kundong”, the legendary Broery & The Pros styled Amboina serenade in”Lembe-Lembe”, as well as a pop song in Moluccas lingo, refined and sung by our latest favorite forgotten figure, Max Lesiangi.

More information, visit whiteshoesandthecouplescompany.org and demajors.com.

It is White Shoes & The Couples Company hope that these recordings obtain a place in travel junkies life, and can continuously be joyfully enjoyed.

So, what songs has inspired you to travel in Indonesia?

Traveljunkieindonesia.com – I am SO excited to tell you all about this update. I graduated from Padjadjaran University’s Information and Library Department in Bandung in 2007.

“To succeed in this day and age, all you need to be ahead of the pack is to be informed, and turn the information into transformation for your betterment and that of others.” – Ifeanyi Enoch Onuoha

Over six years have passed, and it seems that lately I have found myself returning, I love knowledge sharing with possibility of being useful to people.

I’ve just returned from a talkshow on Himaka Career Day at Padjadjaran University‘s Information and Library Department, Bandung. It was REUNION!!!

In this talkshow, I talked about my life and the key to success in travel blogging.

“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page” – St. Augustine

With materials on the “marketing” side of travel blogging: branding, differentiation, positioning, and readership.

Travel Junkie Indonesia contribution is essential mostly because, whether you like it or not, no matter how important your travel blogposts are, they mean nothing if no one is reading them.

Travel Blogging isn’t all about reporting daily nuances or posting narcissistic photos all over the web. Travel blogging requires a vast set of skills, from fundamental writing skills to basic html programming to engaging audience in conversations.

We are after all self-publishers who have no editors to report to – in fact, we are ‘amazing people’ who multi-task and creative junkie.

Aaaaah, a big thank you for my lectures and friends at Padjadjaran University’s Information and Library Department.

I love this University.

I had a brilliant day. I was completely NOT STRESSED. Travel is the greatest medicine. Be a travel junkie. Without travel, the rich and poor live in the same house.

The other sunny afternoon, we stopped and took a walk to the Fisheris dock. We love hanging around the dock and doing docky things, dock jumping like a bajo kid haha!

I said to my friends “Hey lets pretend to be bajo kids and jump into the ocean!”

It was not as crazy, dangerous or pointless as I thought it would be.

The water was so clear. We saw lots of fish, coral, turtle, and our feet were tickled by weird looking seaweed.

It was actually quite a lot of fun!

Traveljunkieindonesia.com – Hi travel junkies, I hope you all had a fantastic start to the new day, we certainly had a memorable and relaxing few weeks.

Here in Indonesia. one consistency is the two finger peace symbol.

“You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. I hope someday you’ll join us. And the world will live as one.” – John Lennon

Most young people, adults, and even travel bloggers, don’t hesitate to add their own character to any photo taking opportunities, but raising the two finger peace symbol.

I have even found myself doing it in photos. Its contagious, and let’s use the travel blog to prevent war by making friends worldwide.

“Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi

Peace to us all around the world. Hugs and kisses from Indonesia.

It is WONDERFUL. Palue can be reached from Maumere, a city in Flores, which takes six hours by wooden motorboat.

Ooh diving with great visibility, excellent and colourful hard coral, very healthy fish life, spectacular island backdrop with Rokatenda volcano, learn about volcano, living like a local, and beautiful uninhabited beaches for sunset strolls.

Traveljunkieindonesia.com – I am very impatient. I have difficulties to concentrate for a long time. I am often disproportionately emotional.

I also have to say that I love sleeping and very much enjoy to sometimes not do anything.
