We’ve been in NC for a week and had our first Sunday, my first day in the office, and am gearing up for the first big student event at LFC. All of the transitions going on in our lives reminds me of transitions from scripture. “The old has gone and the new has come”. God is constantly moving us forward along our journeys. Sometimes transitioning from one thing to the next is rough, like when I switched from regular to diet. Or, sometimes it’s easy and simple like when I gave up red meat for a year (I know, who would have thought it would have been easy).

What I know is that every transition, easy or hard, rough or smooth, is all part of God’s plan. Jesus transitioned from hanging out with the angels to hanging out with sinners. Paul transitioned from capturing those who believed in Jesus, to having his heart captured by Jesus. Transitions are a part of life. I am in the midst of a transition that I am so excited about embracing. Big thanks to all of those people who have made this transition so great!

So I have officially deleted all of my old posts and am beginning fresh. As I type this we are in the midst of packing the house to get ready for the biggest move of our lives (literally across the country). I can’t express how excited we are to be moving to a place where we know God wants us to be. We can’t wait to get plugged into this awesome new community at LFC as I take the position of Student Ministry Director. I have to be honest and say that this is a dream come true. We have prayed for a while that God would open up the door for us to be closer to my wife’s family and that he we would find a church that we really felt we could connect with.

With the excitement of a new place comes the sadness of saying goodbye to people we really care about. I will greatly miss the students and adults we grew close with at CBC. It will be especially hard for me to say goodbye to the seniors. They were freshman when I came and the first class for me to see grow up through high school.

I’m so pumped though to see what God has in store as we begin this new chapter of our lives.
