Pop diva Kylie Minogue just hit Madrid by storm last July 2, and it is expected that she gets on stage with an ever-catchy outfit. But in this particular costume… do you think Kylie made a statetment with a half-masked face and a black draped outfit that shows off her gams? If you are to ask me? The whole outfit looks and sounds boring. Hey, it’s Kylie. She should be flaunting her hypnotic choice of colors, and not opting for a camouflage to darkness. Only Madonna knows that kind of trick, and at this point, nobody else can do it than her. Not even Kylie. And yes, her oufit lacks originality. Tattoos have been a statement for most of today’s celebs, and while Angelina Jolie’s been sporting rather more meaningful tats which symbolize her humanitarian advocacies, Rihanna on the other hand promotes her body art fetish for the sake of… art. The songstress has a lot of tattoos on her body, but the most beautiful among them is the string of stars which run from the back of her neck down to her spine. The cluster of little stars just add more life to the Barbados-born diva, and yea, they make her twinkle even more. Rihanna has been questioned about inking some other personalities without a license, but hey, it’s for art’s sake so authorities should not worry about it. My advice however for the singer… if you have the talent, make it legal.

She won awards with it, she made billions with it, and it certainly stayed stuck with her through thick and thin. What could have life been without that gap? Pop princess Britney Spears is known for making drastic changes to her mane. First, she shaved off her hair, then opted for a variety of wigs and hair extensions. This time, she moved away from her usual blonde locks and has now settled for a darker shade-brunette! The pop star now looks more different, but not a wee bit mature with her new do, which simply puts her as the same old Britney with brunette hair. Geesh, I was expecting that she’d look prettier or more sophisticated with a change of do, but it seems like she’s no better with her new locks. Oh well, so much for the hopes. I just wish she’d look stunning once her “Circus” concert series takes off once again.

I think not. Sandra, who at her forties still looks hot and sizzling, but in this taupe wrap dress, she actually failed to flaunt her beauty. The 44-year old actress looks like her age (even older) in this rather ’70s inspired look, and an unmanaged mane which made her look tired and exhausted from all the camera poses she made that night. And where’s her leading man, Ryan Reynolds to act as her best accessory? He should’ve come to her rescue at this time of fashion emergency.

It seems like having worked with few of the great names in Hollywood has contributed a lot in Marion Cotillard’s fashion sense. The lass, who stars alongside Johnny Depp in “Public Enemies,” strutted down the red carpet at the movie’s London Premiere, wearing an equally dazzling red cocktail frock. I don’t like Marion, but her dress just completed my day. It’s clean, it’s classy, and most of all, it’s red! It perfectly gave the actress some character which I believe she needs a lot, especially now that she’s working along some of Tinsel Town’s hottest personalities, not to mention the fact that she’s doing more meaningful films. Summer’s in and not only should you protect your skin from the sun’s rays, you should also take notice of your hair! The sun can make your hair not just dry but brittle, and that’s something you have to avoid. So, if you’re looking for some protective measures, here what celeb stylist Ted Gibson says:

1. Wear a hat at all times. This protects your mane from getting dry, as well as keeping your hair from brittleness or color degeneration.

2. Spray some sunscreen on your hair. Wearing sunscreen on your hair also keeps your locks protected, and you can do this by mixing 3 parts sunscreen solution to 1 part water. Spray on your hair before leaving home.

3. Wear a swimming cap. Chlorine can turn blonde hair green, and for sure you don’t want that to happen. Thus, wear a swimming cap before going to the pool.

4. Most of all, use conditioner! Conditioner keeps your hair moisturized, thus it can manage the heat of the sun. It can be sticky at times, but if you want to save your hair from sun damage, the effort is worth it.

“Bruno,” Sasha Baron Cohen’s new mockumentary featuring  his other personality as a flamboyant, gay Austrian fashion journalist,  made its premiere last Thursday, with a whole bunch of personalities in attendance. Well, guess who deserves a good fashion applause? It’s no less than Bruno’s  real life gal pal, Isla Fisher! The petite Aussie actress wore ancute Stella McCartney frock which made her look superb, with matching London python heels and an elegant smile. Her long curls and subtle tan also fit her wardrobe, thus making her the star of the night.  Well-aside from Bruno of course. Isla definitely knows how to dress up-after all, isn’t that something shopaholics should be experts on?
