Cudi and Dot Da Genius team up for Teleport 2 me:

So Kid Cudi teams up with his (and my) favorite Nigerian, Dot Da Genius, to bring us this awesome track off the upcoming album, WZRD, entitled, “Teleport 2 Me“. By the way, the title of this post includes the acronym WILTRN, which means “What I’m Listening To Right Now.” Anyway, this track is amazing. If you know anything about my taste in music then you’ll know that I enjoy music and artists that know how to really set a mood. The ability to paint a vivid picture (as Drake would say) and set an awesome mood is a quality that not every song or artist has, but Kid Cudi is VERY different. Cudi has been making such awesomely trippy music since “A Kid Named Cudi,” no? Whatever. Teleport 2 Me has been on repeat for me for the past week or so, and it will probably continue to be in heavy rotation. Teleport 2 Me is definitely the type of song you just sit back and enjoy–possibly inebriated, too, lol.

Wiz Khalifa’s “My Favorite Song” track is dope!

I like the few songs that I’ve heard off Wiz Khalifa’s upcoming mixtape entitled “Taylor Allderdice,” which is apparently the name of the high school in Pittsburgh that he attended. I’m excited to hear songs like “My Favorite Song” because they set that awesome mood that Wiz Khalifa is known for setting. You know what I’m talking about—that roll-a-doobie-and-relax-in-the-cut type of feeling. I know I’ve said it over and over again, but I truly believe that if Wiz Khalifa continues to be true to himself, his career will last for a long time.

What’s so great about Wiz Khalifa’s “My Favorite Song”?

Well, remember how the internet went crazy when Wiz Khalifa dropped the first track off Taylor Allderdice entitled “California”? This is pretty much the same thing! Like I said earlier, just like California, My Favorite Song sets such a chill mood. Also, it features one of my favorite ignorant artists ever: Juicy J. If Juicy J doesn’t make a song more fun then I don’t know what does! It’s awesome to see OG’s like Juicy J working with younger guys like Wiz Khalifa. Musical harmony is such a beautiful thing. I don’t know about you guys, but “My Favorite Song” is actually becoming my favorite song!

“Jeremy, I want you Linside me!” — Fan or whore?

The play on words with Jeremy Lin’s last name seems like it’s never going to end. There’s even a Jeremy Lin word generator that you can go to and create your own variation of words that include “Lin” in them. Lately, fans have been the most clever of the bunch by designing different banners expressing just what they want from Jeremy Lin. One woman at the Garden recently had a sign that read, “Jeremy, I want you Linside me“! I’ve seen my fare share of Jeremy Lin images, but this one takes the cake. Is she a fan or a whore? Lmao.

If that’s not straight to the point, then I don’t know what is. I don’t think this woman will be having Jeremy Linside of her, though. In fact, Jeremy Lin is quite the religious one, and some believe that God may be on his side, which is similar to the beliefs that fans had about God helping Tim Tebow out in that playoff run for the Denver Broncos. Nonetheless, I don’t think I want anything Linside me, lmao.

Earlier today, Aldo Baker reached out to me about this awesome Jeremy Lin Infographic. What’s an infographic, you ask? Well, according to Infographic World, infographics are basically graphics that incorporate information created to help describe a person, place, or thing. Pretty cool, huh?

Anyway, back to the Jeremy Lin infographic. This infographic is so necessary right now because there is an insane amount of publicity surrounding the NBA’s overnight star Jeremy Lin. If you remember, I made a post about some hilariously funny Jeremy Lin GIFs and JPEGs, which show just how much of an easy-going and great guy this upcoming star is. There’s still a bit of mystery as to Jeremy Lin’s background given that he received no college school scholarships and pretty much went unrecognized after playing basketball for Harvard in the Ivy League. A Bathing Ape sure knows what to do with camouflage print, and they keep proving it over and over! This BAPE 1st Camo Down Vest is seriously amazing in my opinion. Although it’s, like, super expensive, I definitely think it’s worth the money if you have it to spend. If you look closely, you can see BAPE heads randomly incorporated into the camouflage print. How dope is that? Pretty fvcking dope! There’s no question that the BAPE 1st Camo Down Vest is stylish to say the least.

New York City boasts some of the nicest/most expensive condominiums that I’ve ever come across; and on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, Turett Collaborative Architects designed this AMAZING penthouse entitled, 73rd Street Penthouse. Obviously, the penthouse is on 73rd street, and it’s really quite breathtaking.

Let’s briefly tour the 73rd Street Penthouse, shall we?

The living room is so spacious! You can see how high the ceilings are as well as the amazing textured detail on the wall with the fireplace.

The kitchen is simplistic and modern. I love the white countertop/cabinets as well as the placement of the stove and oven. Where's the fridge?

This is by far my most favorite part of the master bedroom. In fact, this is the best feature of the whole 73rd Street Penthouse! The master bathroom is literally right in the middle of the master bedroom! How amazing is that?

In case you have some random girl spend the night and she's a bit self-conscious post-alcohol, she can always frost the glass of the master bathroom via the flip of a switch! Haha. Yeah.

I think Niggas in Paris is the song of the year, and maybe even song of the decade! Okay, maybe “of the decade” is a stretch, but it is definitely one of the best songs that I’ve heard in the past 5 years. Kanye West & Jay-Z came together to bring us an amazing album in “Watch the Throne”. They then gave us the marvelous song, Niggas in Paris, which drove people into a frenzy every time that it came on. Remember the guy going crazy singing Niggas in Paris on a NYC subway?

Well, now Kanye West and Jay-Z have finally given us a visual for such an amazing single. Kanye West posted up on his Twitter account that the Niggas in Paris music video was up for viewing on his website www.kanyewest.com. Kanye’s website crashed within minutes (I mean, he does have almost 7 million followers) because people were trying to watch this video!

It really captures the amazing the amazing things they did with this song on tour. I LOVE IT!

M.I.A’s Bad Girls Video is too awesome!

M.I.A is one of the best female artists of my generation, and her Bad Girls video proves it. I love M.I.A.! She hasn’t been in the spotlight too much lately, but that’s understandable given that she recently had a baby and is starting a family. Whatever. I’m happy she’s back because the female music scene has been lacking that special something that M.I.A brings to the table. Don’t you think so?

I’ve watched M.I.A’s Bad Girls video like 10 times today, LOL

M.I.A is always unique and–if I were a fan of the word–I’d say that she dominates the hell out of the term “swag”. Her delivery is dope, her fashion sense is super unique, her videos are always creative, and her sound is unlike any other. She’s an icon. And what do icons do? They deliver consistently stellar products to their fans, hence M.I.A’s Bad Girls music video.

The Bad Girls music video is a perfect display of all the qualities that I just attributed to M.I.A.

If you haven’t started to ride the Jeremy Lin wave yet, you better go polish your surfboard and get ready! Jeremy Lin has won the heart of New Yorkers and New York Knicks fans, and he’s definitely the talk of the city right now. NY is my home town, so I definitely support this guy. I’m not going to get into Jeremy Lin‘s bumpy rise to popularity in the NBA (you can read all about that on Wikipedia). What I will say, though, is this Asian kid can ball! Also, he went to Harvard for undergrad, so you’ve gotta respect the guy’s intelligence, too! As a medical student–and former division 1 student-athlete–I commend Jeremy Lin for managing the stresses that come with playing a sport while studying at an institution like Harvard. I also admire Jeremy Lin for staying true to everything that makes him who he is.
