Given my personal style, the way I live is quite simple. Everything is no-fuss, wearable, and most definitely comfortable. This is why I mostly buy items that I know I can wear over and over again (Just G has a lot of these!). I don’t have a lot of those one-time-use items, and I guess it has a lot to do with clutter? I’m currently in the process of de-cluttering my room, and I absolutely regret how I used to live. I was such a hoarder in my younger years, that I managed to accumulate so many useless things and dust accumulators. Now I know better! Congratulations to the grand winner of the Bobson Japan x Marronnier College of Fashion Design (in Osaka) T-Shirt Graphic Design Contest, Yasutake Akane-san! She was awarded by the owner of Bobson himself, Ozaki Hiroshi-san, and Japan Information and Culture Center (JICC) director, Kitagawa Tatsuo-san. Lia Cruz hosted the event in her own pair of Bobson jeans. </p><p>Laureen and I were invited to the awarding as we were part of the panel of judges that decided which designs would be printed into t-shirts and sold commercially all over the Philippines. </p><p>While there were Facebook votes, we also had to take into consideration the student’s interpretation of the theme, “Perfect Circle: Rising Sun”, as well as the saleability of the design. Knowing how the Japanese always have a meaning or a deeper concept behind every design made it all the more difficult to judge. I’m super predictable when it comes to fashion choices, so I think I’ll go to SM Makati to try new styles!</p><p>On a related note, I found out that women SM Advantage Card shoppers can get deals at 10% off (minimum P2K single-receipt purchase) on August 19 and 26. You can even get an additional 10% off if you use your HSBC Red credit card. So that’s up to 20% discount!
