i posted this on tricks tutorials: c murdah nyc

.loopkicks gathering 2009. by ihatechrisbalualua

wassup kids...

it has been a hot minute since i have been involved with the tricking community and team loopkicks, i'll have to say for a few years now. i was coming back and leaving immediately, on and off; i have just been doing other things that interest me: music, designing, browsing, reading novels, film...et cetera. i'm pretty boring and nerdy, at times. you all probably heard from the streets, and i've possibly said it a few times somewhere around, these words of mine. i'm trying to keep myself consistent on the tricking, i've been semi-training when i can. it's pretty tough though. still keeping it raw. last year, i went to maryland, for pancake lee nationals, it was possibly the longest time i've been involved with trickers around the east coast, and a pinch from the west. what is that? four days too long?...i had a ton of fun out there though; i just wish the cicadas were out. maybe not. i also had the chance to see old friends from team FS, and made new friends during my stay at matts, and when i was living it up in nyc! y'all are too crazy for me. everybody trains too much. i just came out there to hangout; everybody wanted to see me trick around. boy! do i suck. no dicks. well, i suppose, for the tricking, you will see me some other time then.

gonzo! as of recently, i asked chris devera if i can be involved and help out in any way for this years loopkicks camp, since for almost all loopkicks camp, i was busy doing some other ish; i was being homeless in sf and nyc, and eating as a vegan; wearing the same ol' style, but the wig chopped off, almost like, WMCA Masters Willie Johnson, on television as Bam, fire extinguished some guys pony tail, and chopping that shit with his dark-colored hand, completely off; the hair looked like an icicle or frozen liquorice. i remember those few frames almost too well. so old. ok, so, i want to be involved much more this year than ever, chris gave me a job to put together an activity or (-ies without the 'an' and replaced with the 'a') for this year, which i've already started and finished, and am very excited in leading it. well, this is one thing we are doing new and different, which is, going to san francisco! now since there are going to be many people from around the world (some might be their first time in america) i thought it be a wonderful idea to go hangout in the city because most of the time we are stuck in boring san jose/silicon valley, working too hard and going fatigued. i put my influences in this activity, the places i picked for you guys are places where it's pretty touristesque and hip, at the same time. i am usually spotted around these areas on my track bike with no brakes or drinking a soy chai latte on a wooden seat, in an independently owned cafe nearby. it is going to be very fun. i hope you all can come through and join us! if you guys haven't heard yet, we are also doing a collaboration, a JAM, with Head Hunters Crew (HH), who are all my homies from highschool that i use to bboy with back in the day. i quit bboying and i stuck with tricking. headhunters crew and loopkicks are silicon valley/bay area/california's finest!

"HH has crowned themselves as battle kings. What started off as a small crew with kids from the same high school, expanded into an international phenomenon. Everyone differs in character, but what always binds them together is their love for b-boying. The mentality of going nowhere but the top is shared within the group. Still young, still hungry, you can catch us wherever there is a hot circle." - head hunters crew (HH)

i need help from you all who are interested in coming through to this years loopkicks camp/gathering. i want to ask you guys a question. what do you guys want to do this year? what do you guys want to do differently (if you guys came last year or the year before, a returning loopkick camper) i and we (loopkickers) would like to hear from you. please let me know so that i can see if we can put it down on the schedule, it would be cool to hear what y'all want to do! i tried my best to get something going like 2004 loopkicks camp where we all stayed in one house and rarely slept because of all the idiots (like me), doing the rockstar screaming, guitar with it's fender amp strumming, video game killing. but shit, we got a really nice ass hotel this year! i haven't seen it yet, but i have heard what's good. and i'll be staying in the hotel this year so we can all hang, maybe sip on some pabst blue ribbon beer together (david lynch's favorite). i'm working on trying to get us to go to the beach late at night and do some sort of bonfire too. i don't know w'sup just yet, or if it's an okay.

i don't know who's all coming out this year. i hope it'll be like last years camp, there were so many people, and i missed out because i was out location scouting for a feature film. i hope the europeans can make it. stricking Z! teddy and ott! nyc friends! ryan pinkston! taylor lautner! ha ha ha.i don't know any of the other europeans that well, i'm sorry. hope you guys can make it too! i believe the list is still pending. hope hurricane and loopkacks comes out, as well!

that's all i have for right now.

i hope all's well,

i hate chris balualua

PS. get on to trickzorz.com, bastards! i'll send you an invite, let me know. and i got loads of them invites too.

i don't have much time to blog because i should be gettin' into reading. sorry, i'm a nerd. and i don't know why i got fanboys around the world. the youtube video ontop was recorded by my famous musician friend patrick parra. he gets so many girls. he is currently living in san francisco. we just played a show at a venue in the city. i got many people coming up to me when i walk the streets, i don't know why. it's quite weird. same thing happened to me when i was walking around central park in nyc. why me?

antonio, below, is my homie from nyc. whenever we are together in new york city, we go to huge private parties with celebrities , upper east side jews, socialites. it is quite fun. i always say no to the coke. llohan always says yes. people don't think i'm friends with her and all these other famous people. by the way, nobody should ever drink underage and do drugs! i invited antonio to join the community. i believe that is him who posted below. i also invited a few other friends. hope they hop on board for '09. a few from finland, germany, australia, israel, siberia, sudan, north korea, the list goes on and on.

it is '09 and i'm trying to keep it raw. living my vegan, healthy lifestyle. cycling with lance armstrong here and there. and robin williams in marin county, north of san francisco, across the golden gate bridge. i hope all's well with you all! and y'all had a wonderful conclusion for oh-oh eight! what's going on this month? loopkacks! yes, sir, i hope i can make it! hope you guys can too! i'll try my best to. everybody should know i love nyc. and you all should get on the plane to the maguires! i'll be moving to nyc to work at an investment firm. the whole stock market. wall street. NASDAQ screwed me. Bernie Madoff too. i'm just kidding. if you guys didn't hear, i'm going to be on gossip girl. my friend willa holland was in it. a few episodes. nobody don't know whats going on with me. i'm all over the place. i don't have to be on page six.

anis cheurfa has left back to paris. congrats to anis on street fighter. and kristen kreuk, chung li, in the movie. also, he is going to be working on TRON in vancouver in april, i believe. a remake. i believe by disney. although it ain't on imdb. anis will be coming back to california in march, so he tells me. i hope everything works out and he succeeds. he deserves it. loopkicks represent. i miss my french brotha! if you read this, i love you.

jayr just got back from los angel-ish for an audition to do the whole britney spears tour. he was telling us the story, the drama, the fakeness. who would want to do that crap anyways? well, i suppose if you are hungry and want that 2k a week plus 300 bucks, you can go ahead and dance. sell out. i know i wouldn't be able to hang for a 3 month tour and an almost everyday show. congrats to luke broadlick, i believe he made it. i think i spelled his last name incorrectly. whatever. sad to hear hans quit everything for his dreams to come true in l.a. supposably he couldn't dance. man, i hate l.a. kim do, rudy, jermey, and a few others (i totally forgot) went out there to try and grab a spot for that tour. not too sure if they got the jobs.

congrats to jeremy marinas on doing a roundtable commercial. and i believe he is also doing TRON in vancouver. two months out there for stunts with anis. i might be there in vancouver, as well. supposably he is going to do stunts for a jet li film. hope everything goes well for him out there in l.a. seems like hes hollywood out, in terms of character. loopkicks represent! i know that kid hates me, whatever, i'm trying to be cool with him. i think he thinks i'm trying to be nice to him so he can take me to l.a. that would be cool to do stunts though, i've always wanted to, not for the money or the fame, just work hard and have fun. who needs that crap? i surely don't. i rather live poor. i know jeremy is working hard. props. keep it up, kid. supposably i hear not many people like him down in l.a.

jay-r, sean ellis, and chris devera are working on loopkicks camp '09 yesterday! everybody should get excited. why? well, i'll tell you that another time. maybe, i'll just give y'all one hint, IT'S GOING TO BE BIG! i mean GARGANTUAN! and we got my bboy homies doing something HUGE with us. it is a collabo. say hello to HEAD HUNTERS (HH) represent. i'll throw some videos up later. just google.

who inspires me? i inspire myself.

trick of the day:

corkscrew opposite side

music of the today:

gym class heroes

"i used to be brooklyn broke, now i'm upstate rich" trav.

well, well, that's all i got for today. until next news.

keep it sleazy,

i hate chris balualua

p.s i'm going on a world tour. let's link up. nobody knows about it though. you guys will be the first. xo xo

This sampler is about my feelings going into my tricks. I needed a way to vent-- to express my feelings without doing something stupid. This sampler means a lot to me. It's my second 2008 solo sampler. Most of the footage is from my college, Longwood University, some of it is from the MD halloween extravaganza, and some of it is after my Get Off Your Feet ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-ahfH-nyYY ) sampler was released.

So now I give you....

Take me Back

Thanks to all of TT that has/had supported me during my rough time. I really appreciate it. Thanks especially to Cory Brown and the rest of Roanoke for just being there, Rene for getting me my footage (sorry to bug you about it man). I love all of you!

There's some pretty sweet pix on Facebook that Rachael Ekkens took of Hans. They reminded me how badly I want someone to really nail the art of photographing tricks. Even mainstream stuff I see is cheesy and poorly done. Does anyone know of anyone who kicks major nuts at it? Rachael's stuff is good, don't get me wrong, I want to see more though. I think it's a niche that needs to be conquered.

Hola Tricking Community! I really don't have any interesting stories to share with you guys, so I'll embed one of our latest videos for now. Most of you have probably seen it by now, but I hope you enjoy anyways (=

Tricks N' Treats 2008.. hosted by Hans Wikkeling, JayR deGuzman, and the rest of Team Loopkicks. This being our first themed session since our summer camp, it had a very competitive feel to it while maintaining a positive vibe. A testament to how much funner things can be if done right and organized. Aside from the tricking, you'll catch some battles, a dance-off lol, crashes, and some interview tidbits. Definitely a fun edit! Look forward to the next one! Till then... Enjoy (=

Oh yeah! Trixmas '08 is next...

Me and my boys on avivAForce threw this Jam session. I thought it went really well, and the vibe there that night was amazing! I'm really proud of what everyone was throwing down. This video was edited by MattM.

so pete me chris dee and sesshito. went to watch anis and jeremy perform at the youtube live event. we met bboys and other famous people from youtube like fred. and tay zonday and jon chu. it was a really cool to be at the event in san francisco. i feel as though the performance with jeremy and anis was better than soulja boys and akons performance.

I don't know why I've never seen this guy before... but I love him. His opening combo totally had me at hello. I sent him a message on vimeo. Hopefully he sends me his email so I can invite him into our home.
