Nationals and Australia against the world!

As some of you may already know, the 2011 National Shinkyokushinkai Tournament is almost here! Sunday 7th August.
Support or compete but don’t miss it
Immediately after is an affiliated event “Australia vs The World” we have the best in the world coming to our very own back yard to try and take out the title and we will be doing our best to do the same! Your Sensei , Sensei Daniel will be competing and it will be a great time to come and support your Sensei at an event that is in Sydney, no traveling to Japan, Russsia or even having to hop on a plane just come along and bring your spirit and wear the Trifu Dojo colours ( figuratively speaking).
Mark it off on your diary now and we will give you more details as the tournament date comes closer.

Trifu Dojo June Grading

Congratulations to all our students that successfully graded over the last two weeks.
It was good to see so many taking their grading and karate so seriously.
There is no such thing as a free lunch in this world and all our students did their best and showed Sensei Daniel what they are made of.
Be proud of your achievements Trifu Dojo sudents and wear your new belts with pride remember they are your “Spirit” so you spirit has just gone up a step as did your belt!

2011 Mid Year Tournament

Trifu Dojo had it's most successful tournament to date, Yesterday, Sunday 26th June.

What an amazing day we all had. The venue, Double Bay Public School's new hall, was perfect, housing all of us comfortably and giving us loads of room to have 2 Mats to entertain our spectators at all times.

Every child walked away with a trophy whether they gained a place in their event or not, all they had to do was try their best and get involved and they were awarded for their efforts. We beleive very stronly in improving self confidence and helping all our kids gain a sense of acheivement and what better way than by challenging themselves at an event that is supported so stronly by their family and friends.

Our 80 competitors, all from our Dojo, did an incredible job, most children competed in at least 3 events each and some of our new students pushed themselves out of their comfort zone and found a whole new life out there.

The trophies were glistening just waiting for some eager hands to grab them and give them a good home. And we are happy to say the car was empty (Very happy ) when we left, having giving away almost 170 trophies to some very deserving students.

Our students aged from three competed in Speed tests, Strength tests, Sumo, Handstands contact and non contact events with al their mates and families watching and cheering them on.

There were so many incredible feats of self improvement, overcoming self doubt, learning graciuosness in defeat and how to be humble with sucess but the most uplifting thing was to see so many smiling faces, laughter and joy….. and that was just the adults!!

I would like to congratulate all our outstandnig kids but there isn't enough time to go on with all the names but just a couple…. Well done

Dear Branch Chiefs and Contacts,

I hope you all are doing fine, and that you are in good health. As always, I would like to start my message, by expressing my appreciation to all of you for your dedication and hard work for our organization.

There is only a month remaining in 2010, a year in which we all walked hand in hand, with the goal of reaching “100 affiliated countries”, and creating the “strongest and largest Karate Organization”. I am very pleased to know that you all had a very productive, fabulous year.
