This is my second visit to Tibanban, Davao del Sur.

It’s been barely few years since I set my foot again at Tibanban, Sigaboy, Davao del Sur, it was then that Friendster social network was at its peak, and Facebook was about to gain some momentum, most of my Tibanban Adventures was posted there in my previous social network.

Now, Friendster is gone I’m now using Facebook to post all my photo updates arranged by albums.

Folks call this Tibanban Island? We rode a ferry it brought and toured us around the island. It was a sunny morning, the fair weather cooperated well for us!

Tibanban is the home of freshly caught fishes and is transported to Davao City in wet markets.

A kilo of assorted squid cost around Php 60.00.

A dog nearby barked at me while I was taking the above photo. Dogs are territorial when you cross their domain, I walked away slowly, barking ceased.

I don’t remember how many stopovers we’ve been through. This is probably the last trip we had before we jumped off to the Sleeping Dinosaur, of Mati, Davao Oriental.

According to source that I got they call this place San Antonio, the powdery white sand beaches is somewhat similar to that of Boracay.

The waves are great too! while I was swimming, two layers of waves approached and smacked me on my face lol! Mati, Davao Oriental has a lot of places to travel and discover for any travel blogger out there.

Going on our way back to Davao City we headed first at the splendid place, overlooking from the nearby road, I stood to a cottage close to the cliff – The Sleeping Dinosaur of Mati, Davao Oriental.

Note:
Drive extra careful when you reach the L-shaped road, the sharp curved road is prone to accidents, and there’s no early warning device or road signs placed nearby as of this writing.

You might have noticed that the posts in my Baganga Travels is not in order. There’s been a mixed-up. Apologies.

To start it up I woke up early around 6 am on April 6, 2012, I joined catch up my friends while walking down the street.

We went to see the fine beaches of Baganga, Davao Oriental – I am amazed!

At the back of the Municipal Hall of Baganga is the beaches.

This is a follow-up of my travels in Cateel, Davao Oriental the next pit-stop is Balite Hot Springs of Kinablangan, Baganga, Davao Oriental.



This hot spring to some townsfolk consider it therapeutic and relaxing as it soothes out the tired body from stress.

The entrance fee is only P 3.00.

Give Balite Hot Springs a try and don’t burn yourselves

I spent my holyweek at Banganga, Davao Oriental, It’s my first travel experience on by myself all along and away from Davao City.

I took a van ride at Victoria Plaza Terminal, we left around 7:00 pm on April 5, 2012, it took around 6 hours of land travel.

We dropped by this place they call the pride of Cateel, Davao Oriental – its the Majestic Aliwagwag Falls.

According to Travel Teller:

The Aliwagwag Falls is a series of 84 cascading waterfalls located in Barangay Aliwagwag, about 30 minutes drive from the town’s Poblacion. It a unique waterfalls blessed with different rock formations, shapes and various heights. Each tier differs from another. It ranges from 6 to 110 feet. There is one measured at 72 feet and another is at 67. Overall, Aliwagwag Falls is 1,110 feet of cascading energy and 20 meters in width. Viewing it from afar, Aliwagwag Falls looks like a stairway to heaven. Not known to many, Aliwagwag Falls is considered by hydraulic engineers as the highest waterfalls in the Philippines and regarded as one of the most beautiful falls in Mindanao.

I was on my exciting trip to General Santos City together with Lyle and Brendel to attend the BlogFest 2.0 and Philippine Blog Awards 2011 Night.
