Radiohead's new album makes me very happy.
Being "free-agents" could quite possibly be their best career move ever... Especially if they release music like I'm listening to. They're one of those bands that I'll buy any music they put out though. I paid 2 pounds for the album and downloaded it off their website like half an hour ago. I'm VERY MUCH enjoying it so far.

So now, Oasis and Jamiroquai are doing the same thing and they're both free-agents. Stay tuned to your internet for their albums too. Then yesterday I hear Nine Inch Nails plan to do the same thing. THEN today I read Madonna dropped her record deal and signed with a CONCERT PROMOTER.

Who needs record companies?

Treefrog's hiring a GRAPHIC DESIGNER if anyone's interested or know anyone who'd want to work let me know or email your resume to me and I'll pass it on. Same deal they're hiring another version of me too, but this time it's not to push me outta the company! *shakes fist at evil old company that fired me*
One catch to the job though it's Newmarket. You can't work from home. Not everything happens in Toronto PEOPLE! :P
Apparently Treefrog's expanding to Toronto over the next couple years but we have A TON of work and not enough people, we're all stressed and I'm at work RIGHT now working on my day off even.
It's a great place to work though, we're having a gaming day on Friday. I'm gunna bring my Wii and Sean's bringing his Xbox360 so even though we pull our hair out, it's a fun environment. Lotsa young blood and lots to learn if you want.
AND GET this. Apparently I might be going to Africia in Feb too? And to North West Territories too.
So Travel may be part of the job too.
Sean's family lives in Africia and we run websites for 'em and we run the websites for the government in NWT/Yukon/Nunavit (sp?) so both are very big options for travel. As well we have a TON of clients downtown Toronto/Barrie/York Region and honestly I have four websites sitting in my inbox right now to put together with about 15 on the way, loootssa business here!

So I was watching TechTV last week as I usually do and Lab With Leo was pushing this new POWNCE website. Sounds dirty but it's not, not that I've seen anyway.
You can share files and sites and all kindsa things with it. It's basically like on Facebook when you have all your POSTED ITEMS. If you're a fan of the POSTED ITEMS you'd be all over Pownce.
Only trick with it is it's still on "invite only" so I signed up for one thinking that it would be like the illusive OiNK invites that you only hear about but no one has ever seen. Last night though I signed into my email and with great surprise I got an INVITE! Woot!
Honestly if anyone's interested let me know, I have 5 other invites if you'd like to jump on the bandwagon and you'd have a friend in me already. SO join the social networks, give in and be "one of us"... well it's just me right now so uhmm it's kind of lonely. Comeon Facebook is wearing thin, it's time to jump ship!

Picked out some glasses today - the lady there said the pink ones looked bad... I disagree and so did Jenny, the lady was crazy but pictures and opinions rock.

I haven't written a PUBLIC entry in a while...
I got my MSN list back and a few new people, woot. That was a while ago though. hummm.

Soooo first it was FRIENSTER, remember that? Good times. I hadn't logged in there all year I think! Nothing changed, they've added your last name to your profile though.
I'm sure there were WAAAAY more before Friendster but it's the first one I remember. I was into making websites and "RINGS" before that.
Then the MYSPACE craze took over and swept the world. I think it's still sweeping but loosing momentum bigtime. They just got SUED by JayZ over copyright infridgement for users posting his songs before his album came out yesterday. It's something like 55 songs for 150grand EACH.
BOOM, it's been nice using you Myspace but you don't fuck with JayZ.

NOW! We've evolved or moved backwards towards FACEBOOK. Once an only SCHOOL community they've opened their doors for us done school or not in school anymore and the normal Joe can join the ranks of the Facers now. More room for pictures, you associate yourself with a GROUP and folks outside your group are unable to view your profile.
It's the IT thing to do this month. Get yours now.

What's next? Odds are I'll join that cult too.

k. Somehow I lost my whole MSN conatct list.

From 500 people to 2 is where I am now cause they're the only two emails I rememberd. 7 some odd years on MSN going through high school/college/jobs and numerous groups of friends they're all gone.
HONESLTY I don't talk to probaly 75% of them but it was nice to see what everyone was still up to, like seeing that Sarah had got married I wouldn't have known if she wasn't on my MSN and Dan snowboarding I wouldn't have known without him being on my MSN.
It's a good thing I guess, clean up my MSN life of the people who I haven't talked to in years and haven't talked to me.

BUT JUST SAY HEY if you see me online cause I don't have you on my list anymore please!!

I was sucha history nerd, even went on that nerdy 3 week archeology dig (yes I can hear you laughing). SPECIFIC history though, history like Rome, Egypt, Mexico etc history with a crazy story and huge ups and downs and big impacts and structures made in their time that we can dig up now.

That's why this is wicked to me. I'm sure it'll be all over National Geographic and I will steal my Grandparents copy when it comes in but it's really cool to me when finds like this are made *NERRRRRD!*

Highways are great and WONDERFULL inventions if the people who use them actually know how to DRIVE ON THEM.
If you are driving on a highway in the fast lane and there is either...
a) Someone behind you, close or near
b) No one in the other two lanes
c) You are not passing any other traffic on the highway

YOU ARE IN THE WRONG LANE!!!
Get the fuck over.
The highway owes you nothing and I don't care how many years you've been driving on the stupid thing or how it's your daily routine or you’re trying to prove a point for whatever forsaken reason I can never figure out why.
MOVE OVER AND BE DONE WITH IT.

There are two other perfectly good lanes for you to sit your ass in at whatever speed you find acceptable for you.
I understand the speed limit is 100 MAX but the THRID lane is an invention for the people who wish to take their speed into their own hands and if they get a speeding ticket, so be it. Why do you have to hold them up?
It just makes everyone aggravated and causes road rage, sometimes accidents and most times giving said person the finger or saying FUCK YOU directly to them.
I have to say 80% of the time it's some stupid soccer mom in a 4-door sedan, but I'm not going to put these people in a category... other than the one that they all SUCK.

Someone once told me about an idea that your license plate would be some sort of number for you to be able to communicate with the driver, I need that for 404 driving.

Remember The RAPTURE? Me neither but they make fun of Jessica Simpson's PUBLIC AFFAIR song pretty well! Maybe they just both had the idea and Jessica took it first. This is funny though, these two kids singing along to her song, the kid on the left is PRICELESS he's waaaaay to into it. Good for a laugh.

OOH! While we're on the YOUTUBE thing, WATCH THIS, he's incredibly talented and the BEST cover I've ever heard, well of HEY YAH by Outkast anyway. Soooo good, if anyone finds the MP3 please let me know, I'd love to have it to listen to without going to YOUTUBE.

I almost lost my licence today. BIG wake up call.
There was this BULLDOZER that pulled up outside of Kevs house this morning and sat there IDLING until I left. So I put in my EAR PLUGS and fell back asleep... that resulted with me sleeping in. I tried to RUSH to work and got pulled over on Leslie by a speed trap doing 119 in a 70. fuck. 1km away from them IMMEDIATLEY taking away my licence, he showed me the sheet and gave me a lecture.
The police man said I locked my wheels I was going so fast JUST to slow down and I could have hit him. THANK GOODNESS he was nice enough he put it down to 70 in a 90 and it's only 95.00... better than 4 points and 400.00 or just loosing my licence right there.
I was VERY lucky and it's a big wake up because I've been really careless with my speeding latley and had a few close calls, so this ticket was waranted.
ONTOP of all that I get most of the way to work and roll through a stop sign like 2 steps from the building and ANOTHER cop is sitting there. He puts his hand out of his car for me to stop, gives me the "YOU KNOW YOU WENT THROUGH A STOP SIGN" and I agreed (I do not fight with cops, bad idea) and he gave me a warning which was nice.

It's like someone called and made sure COPS were on my way to work.
I'd like to find that person, and the idiot who left that fuckin bulldozer outside idling for HOURS!

Anyone remember LEACHING music/movies off IRC?
I do... it took forever and you had to wait in a QUEUE and leave your computer on for days just to get ONE FILE!. Then NAPSTER took over and all ther others along the way and life was sweet for a bit until they all got called out for housing illegal music/movies/software someplace.
I've been VERY frustrated with Limewire as of late, I even used the free version to download the registered one but most of the searches bring me to websites now or nothing happens when I click to download the files?
SOO! I was very glad when Tim showed me how to use BITTORRENT on the weekend. I spend all last night downloading FULL ALBUMS - and one had downloaded that I just bought dammit.
I have like 4 movies on the download and they can't get screwed NAPSTER style for this because no one really has the files - they're out there but not on a server, I had it all explained to me and it made sense.

BITTORRENT - If you're looking for a better way to download, I'd reccomend it. I still buy albums by the boat loads but honestly most of the stuff I download is for previewing purposes... I have to have the CD most times, I'm wierd like that.

OH. And I'm missing a TALIB KWELI cd, did I lend it to any of you? BEAUTIFUL STRUGGLE? I can't find it anymore... Spent a good hour starring at my wall of CDs and it's not there.

OH. Again. I'd be nice to live HERE. So what if it's in Vancouver... freaking georgous.

Founding member of PINK FLOYD Syd Barrett has died this week... He left the group before they put out DARK SIDE OF THE MOON and put out a buncha solo stuff that other artists were all about. AND! WISH YOU WERE HERE was a TRIBUTE to him.
Sucks though and he was only 60, but the article says he was messed up (show me a musician that isn't), but messed up like John Fruciantie (SP?) I'd say... What drugs do to you.
AND all the ROLLING STONES are ALL still alive? Keith Richards can fall out of a tree and they can all stand on stage and shake their shit but we lose a PINK FLOYD member...
I have a feeling U2 will be like the STONES too, like a freakin turtle just living and going on forever.

I heard on the radio today that the singer from DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL is being accused of having "EYE SEX" with his audience at shows... During his show he is said to put his focus on one person INTENSLY and that can be construed as EYE SEX.
WTF? That is bar none, one of the most stuipd things I've ever heard for some publicity for a band. Some idiot PR person for their record company probaly made up... While HEAVILY intoxicated. Or one can only hope that ideas like that come with help of alochol or other substances.
Although I AM writing about it, which could have been the point... That it's sooo absurd that people WILL have to pass it on, shit.

I have no air-conditiong so I have been driving SWITLY to work over the last few days to escape to some COOL AIR. Kevs waiting for the neighbors and he's hoping they'll both buy air-conditiong and get a deal or something... I haven't been sleeping in this sticky heat... I'm a little... on... edge...
