Many have been searching for the definition or description of Asperger's Disease or Asperger's Syndrome. But instead of searching for "asperger", they have wrongly typed the word "assburger" sybdrome.

Fortunately (or unfortunately) Assburger Syndrome means:

is believed to be the most common personality disorder in the Western world, yet it remains one of the least frequently diagnosed. Who Could Be Behind Pune Bomb Blast?

Another bomb attack in Pune, Mumbai has left India devastated once again. This is the first major attack after the November 2008 bomb attacks in Mumbai, where 166 people were killed.

Police and other concerned authorities are now looking at every single angle and all possible leads to determine who could be behind the Pune bomb blast. On the other hand, according to senior internal security sources, they suspect that the Pakistan-based separatist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)and the Indian Mujahideen (IM), can be the ones responsible for the attack. This made them put the blame to this group as they have been blamed for other previous Mumbai attacks, too.

It is said that Pune has been targeted as this place is popular with international students and tourists.

Alec Baldwin Hospital and 911 Call

I'm sure many of you have remembered Alec Baldwin, one of the famous Baldwin brothers in Hollywood.

Anyway, news about him spread virally, especially here in the internet, when her 14-year-old daughter made a call to 911, where she reported that her father needs an immediate medical attention since he (Alec) was not responsive anymore.

The cause of his being unresponsive was not yet revealed - or the family want to keep it private. Whatever the reason is, one thing for sure, we can safely speculate that his situation or condition is not that serious as he was treated and released from the hospital for approximately after an hour after the incident.

What is Dinagyang Festival?

Dinagyang Festival has just passed and everyone here in Iloilo City, Philippines is still recovering from the festive mood and trying to get back on their normal lives. But what is really a Dinagyang Festival?

For those who don not know what is Dinagyang Festival it is a religious and cultural festival in Iloilo City, Philippines celebrated every 4th Sunday of January, or right after the Sinulog in Cebu and the Ati-Atihan in Aklan.

The festival is divided into three Major events: Ati-Ati Street Dancing, Kasadyahan Street Dancing and Miss Dinagyang.

The "tribes", also called "tribus", joining the festival contest, are supposed to be Ati (Aeta) tribe members dancing in celebration. There are a number of requirements, including that the performers must paint their skin brown and that only indigenous materials can be used for the costumes. All dances are performed to drum music. Many tribes are organized by the local high schools. Some tribes receive a subsidiary from the organizers and recruit private sponsors, with the best tribes receiving the most. The current Ati population of Iloilo is not involved with any of the tribes nor are they involved in the festival in any other way.

Dinagyang Festival was declared by the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) as the Best Tourism Event in the Philippines for four consecutive years. Thus, the new distinction has been given as “Dinagyang Festival in the Hall of Fame.”

Chimpanzee Attack Oprah

During the Oprah Winfrey Show, Charla Nash, the woman who was mauled by a 200-pound chimpanzee last February 16 this year revealed her face and shared how her sightless life went after that tragic incident.

The attack took place outside Herold's home, when Herold called Nash to help her shepherd the 14-year-old chimpanzee, Travis, back into her house. Police shot and killed Travis after he attacked Nash.

Nash's legal filing describes her injuries as "catastrophic." She lost both hands and incurred "traumatic facial injury" that includes the loss of her nose, upper and lower lips, eyelids and the bony structures in her mid-face.

Doctors have been able to reattach one of her thumbs, which Winfrey gently shook at the end of the interview. Asked what she would tell those who saw her and didn't know how to react, Nash said, "I'm the same person I've always been. I just look different. You know, and there's things that happen in life that, you know, you can't change it. You know, it's a tragedy."

In the October issue of French Vogue, which is dedicated to "Supermodels," there are no black models. No Naomi Campbell, no Tyra Banks, no Iman, no Alek Wek, no Liya Kebede, no Chanel Iman. Instead, Dutch model Lara Stone appeared in a 14-page editorial in blackface. Aside from the fact that models of many nationalities have gained a greater presence in the fashion industry and should have been used in this magazine, today in 2009 we should all know that white people dressing in blackface is offensive.

What is Fujiwara Effect?

In the Philippines, many of us have heard the term Fujiwara Effect since Super Typhoon Peping came back when it was supposed to be out of the country. This behaviour is called Fujiwara Effect.

But what is exactly the Fujiwara Effect means? The effect is named after Sakuhei Fujiwhara, the Japanese meteorologist who initially described it in a 1921 paper about the motion of vertices in water.

Fujiwhara effect or Fujiwara interaction is a type of interaction between two nearby cyclonic vortices, causing them to appear to "orbit" each other. When the cyclones approach each other, their centers will begin orbiting cyclonically about a point between the two systems. The two vortices will be attracted to each other, and eventually spiral into the center point and merge. When the two vortices are of unequal size, the larger vortex will tend to dominate the interaction, and the smaller vortex will orbit around it.

The effect is often mentioned in relation to the motion of tropical cyclones, although the final merging of the two storms is uncommon. The effect becomes pronounced in these storms when they approach within about 1,450 km (900 mi) of each other and are at tropical storm strength or stronger.

Did you know that a 19-pound baby boy was born in Indonesia, Last Monday? Actually his weight is 19.2 pounds and measures 2 feet in length. Huge, isn't he?

He was delivered through cesarian section and, thankfully, there was no complications reported yet. According to news, the mother of this baby was is diabeted so the glucose intake caused the abnormally growth of the bay during the pregnancy period.

During my Jurisprudence class, I remember the term corpus delicti used by my teachers. I guessed that it has something to do with a dead body or corpse from the first word corpus. What I don't know is the meaning of the second word delicti.

Do you want to know where was the first Hyracotherium fossil was discovered? It was discovered in England in 1841 by paleontologist, Richard Owen. On the other hand, in 1876, 35 years later after the first fossil was found, the second fossil of the same genus was found in America.

It was believed that Hyracotherium are ancestors of the horse, though it has 4 toes on the front foot and 3 toes on the back. It is a lenght of only 2 feet and much smaller height of 8 - 9 inches with a long skull and 44 teeth. Because of these findings, the belief that the Hyracotherium is of the size of a fox terrier was overturned, as it actually half the size of the latter.

Natural Kissing: Anthropologists tell us that way back in prehistoric times, mothers realized that babies choke to death on ordinary adult food. They also learned that babies thrive if fed on a meal pre-chewed by the mother. Holding a baby in one hand and a freshly slaughtered rabbit in the other, mouth-to-mouth feeding was found to be an efficient way to feed, with the minimum waste and maximum accuracy; just like chick birds are fed. Mouth-to-mouth feeding is still practiced in some cultures to this day. From this feeding function, mouth-to-mouth contact became a sign of trust, dependence and affection between mother and child, and this comforting habit carried on into adulthood.
Sensual Kissing: In passion, kissing is done simply for the pleasure of kissing or as part of foreplay. Whether it's with eyes open or closed, a saliva-laden minuet, industrial vacuum cleaner, all-stars tongue wrestling or tonsil hockey, the secret of a good kiss is progressing slowly to discover what your partner responds to. It is customary in some churches to kiss an icon to venerate or honour the person portrayed in the icon, which is on the slippery slope to icon worship.

When people kiss, they turn their heads slightly to the right to avoid breaking each other's nose. Even in a symbolic kiss, the head tips to the right. For example in the Armenian Church the person offering the greeting tips his head first to the right, and then left of the person being greeted.
Why most people, from every culture, tip their heads to the right and not the left when kissing, is one of life's deep mysteries. Our research suggests that it makes no difference whether the kisser is left- or right-handed.
