Thanks Jason. I don't have the time to put into this so I'm actually putting Trixbox on hold for now and sticking with my 3cx setup. Hopefully your response will be helpful for others if google sends them this way.

I am lost. It configures the phones for you.

Are you trying the beta endpoint manager that works inside PBXSettings or the normal trixbox endpoint manager?

OK, I have the option 66 configured now. I also have the TFTP going to the Trixbox server. Where do I find any of the configuration screens for programming the phones themselved? I have found the screens to add a phone in, and they are added in. Just no idea how to configure the phones.

The endpoint manager writes

In reply to The new endpoint manager:

The endpoint manager writes the phone config to the trixbox's trftp directory /tftpboot

You should not have to touch the phones, just put the MAX address in and let them DHCP. Option 66 must be configured though.

Many thanks

In reply to Semi nubi issue with incomming calls not going to extensions:

Thanks for the suggestions. I actually resolved it today by finding the following

http://www.trixbox.org/forums/trixbox-forums/help/ss-noservice-me...

In both the incomming & outgoing boxes of the trunk setup I added the same "context=ToExchange" statment at the top of the User details & peer details boxes, and hey presto, everything works.

Many thanks again

We are using Trixbox PRO

In reply to Feature Request: Store more then 50, or auto-delete/rotate old recordings for each agent:

We are using Trixbox PRO Call Center with 20 CSR's.

I thought I would resurrect this as it's now the end of 2009 and this new super duper recording is still not here.

We have our CSR's set to record 100 calls (they did raise it I guess), and we move the recording off the trixbox via FTP every night for storage.

BUT, I'm being told be Fonality that I still must reset this every night. What a joke. I've got to STOP the recording and then reenable them one at a time for every CSR. Has anyone figured out a way to automate this?

Oh BTW the Fonality support told that I could PAY Them to remove this. That's something new. I've still not heard how much nor if it would be available to everyone. Seems they are working on Bounty's these days.

Scott, thanks for answering. I dont have 66 pointing to the Trixbox, but I could, I have it pointing at another TFTP server. I have my phone network pointing at the Trixbox. I am using Polycom 501's would you suggest I clear out all the network fields and let the DHCP supply them? Also what is port 150? I think 66 is TFTP, correct?

Jason,

That is the way I had it set up, but it didn't seem to want to put the call through VoipJet, in the CLI I saw the call trying to go out over the Vitelity trunk...

I will give it another try today and post my successes...

Jeff, one thing that I forgot, please make sure that you remove your static arp entry when you're done or you'll never be able to connect to a host at that same IP because you added an ARP entry for a MAC address that won't match...

arp -d <the unused IP that you used>

Yes, you have to write a script to dial a feature code and play and announcement to a paging group.

In reply to Which phones to buy for these requirements? Thoughts please..:

Thanks all for your comments.

The auto-annouce+park call function does not need to be accomplished by pressing 1 button. They are 2 separate functions. The receptionist would first park the call into a free parking spot. Once that's done, she would press the announce button to page all phones and tell them a call is waiting on line x. I don't think that needs a custom script, does it?

Can I program a key to park a call in a specific parking spot.. say 73 instead of sending to 70 and letting the system pick a parking spot for me?

Ouch! 3k! I need this for only one mailbox, not a corporation. Oh well, back to learning how to script. Our pbx budget is only about $2k max. I can justify a $500 dollar module if I have to, not a $3k.

Randall, thank you for your input any way.

So.... Any body want to take a crack at this (or help me learn how to do this myself)

1. I do understand what you are asking here.

2. answered here MANY times, that is done by YOU taking the single email address and using YOUR email system to forward to the other email adress you wish (there are other ways but this is the best.

3. Find the recording you want to record a new message with the same name (answered here many times as well)

Yes using via a PC is OK BUT you still must adhere to the TOS (calling over 50 numbers in a 24 hour period is a no no, plus other restrictions)

The OP was wanting to access the SIP trunk, which is not allowed via the TOS.

In reply to Which phones to buy for these requirements? Thoughts please..:

I don't think I said anything about the Polycom not working, simply that I have not tested.

The SNOM's fit your mission the best in my opinion. One button park works great. The also have cheap sidecars and a nice executive phone in the 370.

The Aastra's only have 8 usable BLF buttons.

Nothing will fit your budget though other than the Grandstream's and you get what you pay for with them.

The auto/announce park thing will require a custom script.

I would budget at lease $35.00/station for someone to help you set this up.

Do you have the system setup properly to hand out boot server options to the phones?

You either use the endpoint manager or configure the phones by hand, you can't do both.

Your DHCP server must have option's 66 and 150 setup to handout the trixbox address.

I think this is figured out. The ringcentral account was tied to a P.O. Box. The address was updated to reflect the new service address. We are now able to find what we hope is the correct information and have re-submitted it. On a side note didn't the number porting rules change? I thought they were laxed a bit where an address was no longer required to submit proof of number ownership...

As far as I know, the "Parking a call with the press of a button" requirement leaves you with two choices: Aastra 55i or 57i.

Again, as far as I know, they are the only phones that currently do one button transfer. Polycom is supposed to support this in release 3.2 of their software but I haven't had the ability to test or implement 3.2 and I seem to remember Skyking stating something about one touch transfer not working as advertised on Polycoms in 3.2

In reply to How to change 5060 sip port in trixbox:

As far as I can tell - it can't be done as it is embedded in Asterisk.

My 2 Cents

In reply to Which phones to buy for these requirements? Thoughts please..:

I have had great luck with the GXP2000's -- and also like the Linksys SPA's

The GXP2000's do it all.. and yes are kinda cheap but a great value.. if you want quality to match the features you will have to spend more money.

Why not use something easy

In reply to International Dialing over its own trunk:

Why not use a option like dial 9 on your outbound route..

Setup a new Outbound route called International and in it -- put ONLY this

9|.

Then tell it to use the trunk you want for international calling.

Then on that trunk make sure it has 011.

You should be able to now dial internationally using that international trunk !
