2.  Friday night, May 18th,  is our Annual Awards Show at the Performing Arts Center at Santa Fe College! Attire is modest and dressy.  The Red Carpet Gala begins at 6:00 pm (light appetizers and photos).  The Awards Show begins at 7:00 pm.  There will be a reception in the lobby following the show.  See you there!

3.  On Thursday, May 17th, the middle school will have its end-of-the-year party at Wild Adventures.  See Mr. Quarles for information and permission slips.

4.  On Monday, May 21st, the high school will have its end-of-the-year party at Blues Springs.  See Mr. McKenzie for information and permission slips.

5.  Mark your calendars….the Senior Class of 2012 will graduate from The Rock School on Friday, May 25, 2012, at 8:00 pm in the main auditorium.  Make plans to support the Senior Class as they walk across the stage and receive their high school diplomas.  Congrats, Seniors!

6.  Final Exams will be held next Wednesday to Friday.  See Mr. McKenzie for the schedule.

  • Incentive Day – Congratulations to all Principal’s List and Honor Roll students.  Your EARNED field trip is this Friday, April 27th.  Your permission slip is your ticket on the bus.  See Mr. McKenzie for details.
  • SGA – We are going to hear speeches from next year’s SGA officers on Thursday, April 26th, during Bible Class at 8:30 am in the main auditorium.  The whole school is invited!   Congratulations to our new officers:  Jenn Nash – President, Cady Suppe – Vice-President, and Allie Card – Treasurer.  SGA will vote to elect a Secretary from the Representatives in the fall.  If you would like to be an SGA rep next school year, fill out an application the first week of school and then we will conduct a vote per class the second week of school.  See the SGA bulletin board for Class Representative qualifications. 
  • SGA May Luncheon – We will leave TRS at 12 pm on Monday, May 7th, for an End-of-the-Year Luncheon.  Bring your $10 and permission slip anytime before the trip.  See Mrs. Card for further information.
  • Basketball Banquet – The banquet is this Thursday, April 26th.  See Coach Harden for details.
  • Team West Shirts – If you ordered an Emmie and Ellie t-shirt, it will be here this Friday, April 27th.  You may wear it on Jeans Days.  If you’d still like to make a donation to the West Scholarship Fund, see Allie Card.
  • AP Exams –AP testing begins in 2 weeks.  Job well done to all of our AP students!  You’ve made it!  If you are taking an AP Exam, it will be administered at the Best Western Grand on NW 39th Ave near I-75.   Make transportation plans now.  Details coming soon.

  • Ellie & Emmie West Scholarship Fund – Please support this fund being started by the West family…it will provide a scholarship for a TRS student whose family is experiencing a medical hardship.  T-shirts will be on sale until Friday for $15.  Proceeds from the sale will support their cause.  See Allie Card or Ms. Peggy for an order form.  These shirts may be worn on Spirit Days!
  • Seniors – We would like include some special features in this year’s yearbook. Please turn in the following ASAP to Ms. Bolin, Jordan Johnson or Emily Deason.  We’d like:  1. A quote, motto or saying of your choice.  2. A baby picture (ages 0-2).
  • The Rock Youth Groups – The final night of 24|7 & NRG Spring Training is this Wed. – come help your team win!  Wear orange for extra points!
  • Yearbook – Yearbook orders are due Wednesday.  They are $30 and include 52 full color pages.  There will be no extras available when they come in May so order yours now!  See Ms. Peggy in the main office for an order form.
  • Leadership Conference – What do Tim Tebow, Urban Meyer and Chick-fil-A have in common?
