Robert Trudeau Assumes IHA Chairmanship for 2009-2010

Trudeau is pleased to announce that Robert Trudeau, Chairman of Trudeau Corporation, has been elected to the position of Chairman for the International Housewares Association (IHA). This will mark the first time an international executive has taken the Chairman position at the IHA. In his new role, Trudeau will head the IHA Executive Committee and Board of Directors, and provide strategic guidance to the IHA staff and membership.

According to Philip Brandi, President of the IHA, "We welcome the leadership qualities and experience that Robert Trudeau brings to the organization. Not only is it noteworthy to have our first Chairman headquartered outside the U.S., but equally valuable is the fact that Trudeau Corp., under Mr. Trudeau's leadership, has become a truly international company in terms of its sales and product distribution. We are truly honored to welcome Mr. Trudeau as Chairman of the IHA and look forward to capitalizing on the wealth of knowledge he carries."

As head of Trudeau Corporation, Robert Trudeau has seen a great many changes within the housewares industry and has successfully navigated the company through 42 years as its leader. His wife Deborah Shannon, two sons, Philippe and Paul and daughter, Anne-Marie, now lead Trudeau's vision for the future.
