As the holidays approach, we gather with family and friends to celebrate. Throughout the holiday season, we’ll be sharing recipe ideas, family fun and more!

TruMoms! Make Time For Bake Time

A great way to bond during the holidays is to bake with your kids. Challenge yourself to find recipes that use natural sweeteners like fruit or cinnamon, instead of sugar. Make your treat extra delicious with a glass of nutritious TruMoo.

Make Sweet and Sugar-Free Apple Cookies:

Ingredients

1 cup and 1 tablespoon all-purpose whole wheat flour
1 1/4 cup finely chopped peeled apple
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 teaspoon liquid sweetener

Directions

In a large saucepan, combine apples, raisins and water. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes. Remove from heat; cool.
Stir flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt into the apple mixture and mix well.
Combine eggs and sweetener; add to batter. Drop by the spoonful onto a nonstick baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
Cool and enjoy!
