You have lied and cheated people on Ebay. Why is it that you changed your user name several times on ebay. You did not close your account Ebay banned you from coming back. You took money and never sent the merchandise you listed in the auctions. You are a lier and a thief. You are simply using this story of "nigerian" people because you know people have heard of this thing on TV. If anyone is guilty of ID theft it is you "Jenna", if that is even your real name. Do you think we would belive your story even more because you through in the food back line-what a crock of lies. You are a professional theif and you know it. I bet you have a record too.....

I think trust is the key aspect in the discussion about the Wisdom of the crowds. I'm working on a social shopping application for wine ( www.adegga.com )and we've been dealing with some of this issues.

I've written about ( http://blog.delaranja.com/?p=637 ) how on social shopping you better trust your friends first (those you already trust) than the wisdom of the Crowds.

Jen Golbeck's comment shows that in some cases that's the way users expect it to be. On the other hand it's good to know that users value having access to all the information (reviews) just ordered by level of trust.
