British Police Helicopters Encounter UFOs and Film Them

Military footage of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) is widely known to have come from the US, Chile and Mexico. But what you may not know is British military helicopters encountered — and filmed — anomalous objects twice over the span of a decade. It occurred in the same general patch of sky above the waters of the unforgiving Bristol Channel.

Buried in the UK Ministry of Defence's declassified UFO files is a reference to the first of the sightings, in 2008. The crew reported it as "flying saucer shaped," and the police department backed up their account, calling them "very experienced" observers.

Eight years later, in 2016, British NPAS disclosed a second encounter above the channel and declassified 8 minutes of footage. They said the spherical object only was visible on infrared, and doubted it could've been a balloon because it was flying into the wind approximately 1,000 feet above the water. Crew also doubted it was a drone, saying their helicopter couldn't keep up with it.

'Manifestation of Danger' - Block Island Native Can't Help But See Symbolism in Dramatic Roll Cloud

Residents of Block Island, Rhode Island, were treated to the dramatic sight of a roll cloud stretching along the shoreline on March 13.

Among those there to witness the sight was local man Steven Miller. Speaking to Storyful, Miller said, “The cloud loomed high over the Victorian-style buildings in Old Harbor, and we could see it rolling as it swept along."

Mysterious 25,000 years old structure was built from Bones of 60 Mammoths

Archaeologists have recently discovered a huge structure built from thousands of bones of dozens of woolly mammoths in Russia. It’s the oldest known structure of its kind and its purpose isn’t entirely clear.

Archaeologists working at the Kostenki 11 site have found the largest and oldest mammoth bone structure in the world: It is a 12.5-meter-wide structure (41-foot) made from hundreds of woolly mammoth bones and the ancient construction is 25,000 years old.

'Ancient Mantis-like alien being' Petroglyph discovered in Iran

Scientists say that an ancient cave drawing discovered in Iran depicts a half-man, half-mantis creature.

The curious petroglyph was found a few years ago in the Teymareh region of the country where such rock carvings are fairly plentiful.

However, this particular piece of artwork, which measures around five-and-a-half inches long, proved to be rather intriguing to experts as drawings of invertebrate animals are rarely seen.

This has led to the conclusion that the work was meant to depict a human-mantis hybrid of sorts.

While such entities have long been a part of ancient religious lore, one can't but note that, in modern times, there are a number of tales involving encounters with mantis-like alien beings.

Scientists detect an exotic planet in another solar system where the weather forecast is always dire - a 100 percent chance of the most outrageous rain imaginable, with droplets of scaldingly hot liquid iron.

Researchers using the ESPRESSO instrument on the European Southern Observatory's Very Large Telescope in Chile recently detected a super-heated exoplanet located 640 light years from Earth. Dubbed WASP-76b, the planet is nearly twice the size of Jupiter and orbits a star almost twice the size as the sun.

Ancient Maya kingdom unearthed in a backyard in Mexico

Associate professor of anthropology Charles Golden and his colleagues have found the long-lost capital of an ancient Maya kingdom in the backyard of a Mexican cattle rancher.

Among their findings is a trove of Maya monuments, one of which has an important inscription describing rituals, battles, a mythical water serpent and the dance of a rain god. They've also found remnants of pyramids, a royal palace and ball court.

Golden and his fellow researchers believe the archaeological site, named Lacanja Tzeltal for the nearby modern community, was the capital of the Sak Tz'i' kingdom, located in what is today the state of Chiapas in southeastern Mexico. It was likely first settled by 750 B.C.E. and then occupied for over 1,000 years.

Severe burning of an eight year old boy caused by an unidentified flying object

During an impressive wave of UFO sightings in New Mexico in 1964, one of the most credible and well-documented accounts went hitherto unnoticed.

Despite nationwide media attention regarding other UFO experiences in New Mexico that year, the most dramatic and horrific one was missed by all but a few local and regional news outlets.

This case involved not just the sighting of a UFO, but an apparent attack and severe burning of an eight year old boy by an unidentified flying object.

Although briefly referenced in the UFO literature at the time, this case was essentially ignored by the UFO community as well as Air Force Project Blue Book. After 55+ years, this case is finally seeing the light of day.

Weaving together archival audio recordings, newspaper accounts, as well as a first-hand, on-camera interview done with the witness / burn victim years later, we can now fully appreciate this case. Beyond that, it will be shown that this was just one in a series of similar events that played out across the United States in 1964.

When evaluating UFO reports, sightings are one thing. Physical evidence left by a UFO is another. But the burns inflicted on an eight year old boy is a category unto itself. This is one of the more disturbing UFO encounters on-record.

Weird Jellyfish creature captured in the sky over Sau Paolo, Brazil

A footage from Brazil shows a strange unidentified flying object which bears an uncanny resemblance to a jellyfish. The puzzling anomaly was recorded over the city of Sau Paolo.

The jellyfish-like UFO initially appears as a fairly indistinct anomaly high in the sky and far away from the person behind the camera.

However, when they zoom in on the object, one can see that it appears to have a dome-like top with some tentacles.

Various suggestions for the nature of the object have been offered.

Mysterious burning space rock smashes the ground in Uttar Pradesh, India

The meteorite went boom just before it struck the ground, causing panic among locals. The burning space rock kept smoldering even after being extinguished with water.

NASA shares GIF of a new flaring black hole 30,000 light-years away

On Nov. 11, 2019, while the REXIS instrument was performing detailed science observations of Bennu, it captured X-rays radiating from a point off the asteroid's edge. "Our initial checks showed no previously cataloged object in that position in space," said Branden Allen, a Harvard research scientist and student supervisor who first spotted the source in the REXIS data.

The glowing object turned out to be a newly flaring black hole X-ray binary—discovered just a week earlier by Japan's MAXI telescope—designated MAXI J0637-430.

NASA has now released a GIF showing a visualization of the outburst detected by the OSIRIS-Rex instrument.

New 'mini-moon' is circling Earth astronomers say - A triangle-shaped mini-moon?

A visiting mini-moon is circling Earth, according to astronomers who discovered the cosmic squatter in our planet's orbit.

The tiny asteroid, dubbed 2020 CD3, was spotted by astronomers in Tucson, Arizona, on Feb. 15.

The discovery is a "big deal" because, out of roughly 1 million known space rocks, this is "just the second asteroid known to orbit Earth (after 2006 RH120, which was also discovered by the Catalina Sky Survey)."

Watch bizarre-looking Sea Creature from the Deep caught in Texas

An angler in Texas snagged a bizarre-looking sea creature that turned out to be a venomous denizen of the deep. The strange catch was reportedly made by Alyssa Ramirez while she and her mother were fishing on a pier in the coastal city of Port Isabel.

Adding an almost alien-like element to the oddity's appearance, it was still alive when Ramirez reeled it in and, as such, was undulating in a mesmerizing fashion on the pier,

She decided to record footage of the creature and send it off to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in the hopes that they could identify it. Fortunately, she soon received an answer as they indicated that the animal in question was a 'bearded fireworm.'

Is there an alien/human hybrid program?

Mysterious creature without tail filmed in Vancouver Backyard

A Vancouver resident was left scratching their head when a security camera at their house spotted a strange tailless creature scurrying through the backyard.

In the video, a rather sizeable creature that seemingly sports no tail can be seen quickly dashing across the backyard past a children's playhouse before disappearing into some bushes.

Among the possibilities offered by online observers were some kind of escaped ape, an out-of-place capybara, and even the infamous chupacabra.

Has the secret tomb where Queen Nefertiti is buried been found?

A series of hidden chambers at the 3,400-year-old tomb of Tutankhamun in Egypt’s Valley of the Kings could be the final resting place of 'mysterious' Queen Nefertiti.

The famed female pharaoh ruled Egypt from 1353 to 1336 BC and was either mother or step-mother to King Tut - Egyptology believed she was laid to rest in the Valley of the Kings but her tomb has never been found.

A team of archaeologists, led by former Egyptian minister of antiquities, Mamdouh Eldamaty from Ain Shams University, used ground penetrating radar (GPR) to uncover the hidden secrets of the ancient tomb.

Radar surveys found corridors a few feet from Tutankhamun's burial chamber that seem to lead to a larger 32ft wide room with 6ft high ceilings.

Phenomenal 'St. Elmo's Fire' captured by crew of NOAA aircraft in North Atlantic

A plane that is typically used for hunting hurricanes recently captured a rare weather phenomenon while flying above the North Atlantic.

The NOAA Hurricane Hunter aircraft was collecting winter storm data during its flight when what appeared to be lightning struck through the skies.

While this discharge of atmospheric electricity looks similar to lightning, the aircraft actually encountered a rare St. Elmo's Fire.

Researchers at the SETI Institute have launched a major new search for alien life

Scientists uses the latest techniques to scour the skies in the hope of finding data that could be an indication of extraterrestrial intelligence.

And they will also make the data from their searches available to the public in the hope that citizen scientists can spot potential evidence in what they have found.

The researchers at the SETI Institute, which is devoted to looking for alien life, are hunting for "technosignatures", or hints in the data that suggest they could be coming from planets that are home to other beings.

They could be anything from sniffing hints of chemicals on alien worlds to indications that there could be structures or lasers on other planets.

Odd massive anomaly captured on weather radar near Key West

According to experts a massive flock of birds was captured on a weather radar, but was it really a flock of birds?

The official statement says that the birds took off around midnight near Key West on Monday and meteorologists estimate the radius of the flock is at least 90 miles out from the center.

‘The birds first appear on radar as they depart from Cuba and emerge in the Florida Straits, disappearing below the radar towards dawn as they reach mainland Florida.’
