Comcast failed me so I can't really get online much anymore to make posts.
Will do what I can when I can. If I find an internet provider in my area.

I will try clear communications.

For now I am using a verizon 4g adapter and getting the exact same speeds as comcast. but that's an adapter turned in by an ex-employee here and the contract for that device is about to expire.

To start, the look of mobile devices is great. For a mobile device. is noce to have variety and options. Not every single thing we own looking and working the same. Imagine if all shoe manufactures decided to only make, boot. blue boots. but the boots come with lots of features and options. Sure after a while, the subtle difference will be what makes the unique, but by today's standards, it makes them bland.

Applications or aps .. instead of just calling them programs of all different sorts, everything is called aps and hopefully designed to look like big shiney bubbles with content.. that's kind of fruity but ok. the aps do not turn off, they just go into hybernate,rest mode or a paused state. Kind of like quick launch. Did we not learn that by disabling all of the start up crap that microsoft said wouldn't harm us, would make us go faster? why are we still seeing this being shoved down our throats? ok... it opened 1/2 a second faster than if I did the other thing. If you just made your operating system less bloated it would open 100% faster.

Really? They can sell that stuff? people actually pay for that stuff? i mean the cost is low, but what is the risk of getting yourself into some trouble

I don't think anyone needs to tell you that if someone is selling a loop hole, it is most likely a scam. it is in your best interest to avoid Google sniper all together.

I busted my Monitor

Wouldn't you know it. Right after I posted my How to Shop For a Wide Screen monitor
I'm sitting in my room, My cat is up on the window ledge. The neighbor slams a board down on some other boards and scares the total daylights out of my cat. My cat gets the Whirley eye and in a ditch effort to dive down, he nailed my monitor. My monitor rocked I freaked and reached out to stop it from falling. I couldn't get my hand open fast enough to grab the monitor. So.... I punched it. Right on the edge of the monitor, not really the screen area. so now my monitor has about 45 lbs of push behind it. Now my monitor smacks against the wall and shatters . Splits right on the seam. I actually see the screen area fall out of the monitor frame and shatter as it tumbled off the desk, onto the edge of my pc, the glass from my LG monitor is all over the floor. Well so much for my 10000:1 contrast ratio wide screen monitor.
So now I have to go shopping for a new monitor myself.
Of course I will be selecting a good monitor.
Just uncertain of where I will go shopping for the monitor.

I just stumbled into clown posting a "how to" on how to game adsense so they make like 200-300 a day.

I am so frustrated by this. It's cheating the system. I bust my butt owning a ton of real websites, always working on my content making sure it is always up to date and fresh. Making sure my content is good.
Then a couple years ago google says they are dropping the pay out amount because they think people are gaming the system. As apposed busting them. What's that do? it reduces the amount of pay out for the legit crew of content writers on the internet. and it lets the adsense cheaters run free.

What do they do to break even on the amount of money they make now as to what they made before the pay rate reduced for adsense?????? They cheat more.

They rip off google adsense and then google in turn rips me off, and then in turn the cheats rip off google even more.

The adsense cheats have an Honor system on blogger and on youtube. adsense needs to bust these jerks and pay us legit writers more.

Ok, for the record. Don't bother doing that. Ever. It seems that the transmission is actually just below 1080p. So no matter how good your tv is, the resolution of the signal is still around 900 max. So the game looked pixelated to me.

The who played a great show. Stage looked like a simon says.
Advertisements as odd as this is, I saw local adverts. Should have been big money like every year, but really I saw a mattress commercial.. during the 2010 superbowl ? really? and it wasnt even in High def. . That I did not understand.
This the 44th football game of football games of the year, and they played a local low res comercial? are you kidding me ?
it was rumored that they would stream the game from the superbowl.com website. So I foolishly told family that it would happen. I even saw the count down ticker on the website. This counter actually stopped counting 20 minutes to soon. Then nothing.
Ok that was uber lame.

Testing Windows 7 At Work

Day 1

Splash screen

We use an Intell(R) Pentium(R) p4 2.81 GHZ with 1.5 G Memory

Full format deleted all partitions Let 7 control partitions
Our install of course was the 32 bit version of Win7

Splash Screen says Windows(R) 7 Ultimate, that was free one year from Microsoft’s(R) website. Thanks guys. We appreciate that.
Boot up was fast , about 17 seconds.
3 printers and one plotter on the network.
We have the goal to test all drivers and handling of certain used machines.
At first boot we saw all printers, but when we started the test page to print, there was no printers in the list.
We are now manually installing drivers. Last we tried with vista, the drivers would not install. with seven The Gestetner 525 installed within seconds. Smooth. We now go back and try the Lanier LD122. Next will be Ricoh Aficio mp w2400 Plotter copier

. Server Driver spoiling, is not an option , finds drivers on the server and installs them. Be sure and install the drivers. Twain untested as of yet. Scanner issues will come.
Test page 1 on Gestetner now. print was good on Gestetner.

We have now consumed 10 gigs of storage. So far we have not installed anything Except printer Drivers

Windows typical keystrokes working as we try.
Loading Symantec Endpoint 11 Work Station Virus Scanner and Firewall To test compatibilities.
noted incompatibility issues, we selected “install anyway”. . So far no prompt for install and no shortcut in quick launch for Symantec, nothing in programs area either, it has been 7 minutes since we started . We are restarting manually to see if we get a boot error.
after reboot, no sign of Symantec.
They did make it clear that Symantec was made for Win Xp, Win 7 is x86/32 bit
Offered to check solutions online, Note is “no solution found” Incompatible. Now we try the 64 bit version of Symantec to see if there is a difference.
Right off we get the “ehh dude, it might not work, doesn’t work for anyone else” notice.
This time it did create the directory for symantec, but quickly uninstalled it. and said that it was interrupted and nothing was modified.

Next we try installing Symantec Server sbe11

More testing to come throughout the week. We want this on our work machines pretty bad. Interesting point, Win7 Identified that the version we have we got from the symantec website, even though it said we had compatibility issues. hmm odd.
Over the next few days we will check Symantec’s site for help on the issue/matter.
We do find a help saying “copy to desktop, run lusetup.exe, reboot, run setup.exe” and all should be good ?????
Maybe ???? Tomorrow we will see.

We install Mozilla Fire Fox 3.0.10 , No Thunderbird today.
good , no notice of compatibility issues. We import nothing, because explorer is a clean install. FF as default.
Install is fine. Fire fox is running well. No issues.

Day one is complete, next tests tomorrow, More writing.

I totally agree that the family of the child who killed herself need some sort of comfort knowing the death of their child can be turned into something good. I would want the same, but these people who are backing this do not understand how the internet works. The description is to broad and vague. There are tons of boys and girls who learn so much every day with just a simple battle of witts. Arguing, flaming and trolling on the internet. It opens their minds to a new range of thought. Without conflict and contrast, we all agree. If we all agree we do not learn from each other. Some people learn from a pleasant suggestion, many learn from brute force. Telling someone they are a moron for thinking the world is flat, pretty much tells the world ” hey don’t bother with this thread, this guys is a joke” . If it was not for the flamers, our world would only be trolls.

Comcast will set a total available bandwidth usage. They will be charging for people going over their monthly limit.
For an unlimited internet. they sure do dance around the word "limit" a whole lot.

They claim 43% bandwidth usage increase. Well if you buy every internet company that has many users on it, expect an increase. This is how media dumbs us down and tells us that we should pay mor4e an accept the fact that we are bad.

Give us a choice? "throttle or cap" ? are you kidding me?
I am for neither one. I live between 2 dsl hubs!
I didn't go over my limit. I am unlimited.
my usage did not increase, they increased the number of users.

How to order cable / Satellite

Call Comcast and request your cable to vbe installed. They will give you a “Time frame Window” .

As soon as they state their little window of 6 hours that you are supposed to stay home from work to accomodate this company who makes you feel as if you have no alternative. Don’t bother requesting anything or asking any questions, they will belittle you and let you know they are very busy. Go the full nine yards with the phone call, make sure all of the paper work is done and then slam them with the big fat juicy one. Just before they get the chance to build up the steam and read the last line or recite the last line of their typical ” how to end a call” Rule book. Say with excitement ” Awesome that works out fine, I also ordered Direct Tv to arrive that same day, My friends and I have a bet which one will come and install first, I am betting on direct tv and from the huge time frame you gave me, I am gonna win the $200 bet, Well which ever shows up first is the one I am gonna use”.

Now end the call with something you have rehearsed ” thanks for accepting my call and taking my order, if there isn’t any more information you need from me again I would like to thank and wish you a good day.”

Now call direct tv and do the same.

Direct tv takes for ever, but do your best to schedual the same day.. which ever one shows up last, tell them it must have been a prank call. If you get lucky, you get direct tv and Dsl. Dsl shouldnt exceed $30 a month and sometimes has greater bandwaidth than comcast, I mean comcast shows cool stats and specs when you do bandwidth tests, but in file transfer , they fall short of dsl. Earthlink is inexpensive and can find people to work with you.

Dsl has gotten really good in the past few years.. If you are in the right area.

See the kids have gotten lazy and so Rockstar does not realize they are out there. There used to be hordes and groups of people actually trying to find the next clue and or how to compile the frickin’ game themselves. But from what I see, Rockstar Games does not see that the kids need to hear the company say “hey stupid, we play a game of find the crap before we release to PC first… yes, every time!” It makes us drool before we get the game. It makes us prove we are the smartest of the gaming world.

The game is coming and we can see it in April from what I suspect and see. That puts us right on schedule for what it wanted in the first place, but a year later due to the hold of the 360 version and Sony arguement.

After getting a bill for an automatic update to my domain and storage. Well I freaked out and started to cancel. then I remembered that my affiliate settings are signed up through that domain name. I decided that it would be best if just transfer my domain name over to my pow web account.. well when I called the 1800 number to get the refund, "Rodney" (clearly not his name) Some guy I am assuming is somewhere in the middle east answered the phone. Hey I am cool with anyone at all times. but for god sakes what are saying?. I was so excited I got my refund and all I just hung up the phone.. Well "Rodney" closed my account intirely. I still have 4 months left on the storage and a year and a half left on the domain name. Well I call again, this time "joey" answered the phone.. Um this dude sounded just like Rodney..

Well I get go through a huge hokey pokey and finally I get my website signed up to my new host.

Custom built computer (Jewel box Project)

Today I was Clicking around in the G4 forums. You know , Looking for game news.

Well I stumbled upon a thread that caught my eye . They guy seems to have built a

Complete custom pc case with the idea of it looking like a Jewel Box. Look at the way he navigates the air through that thing. and the heatsinks he has all over everything. I mean the video card has the same heatsink as the processor. Amazing.

He has this thing designed to a T. Except two things. The second platform has no front support, and the build just looks kind of retro ugly. But the way it looks does not mean squat. I am 100% for the cooling it has.

How does one get traffic to their forum?

Man I spent 2 days setting up m forum and chatroom. I have done all i can to get traffic to them and I do get traffic, but none fricken signs up. They just show up and look around and then bail. It's like they don't want to be the only person posting on a vacant forum. But man, someone has to be the first to go there and post. I am tempted to make fake accounts. but I can't see how to make posts and not feel like a dillweed.

Heck the forum is the same age as the chatroom. One month. There is no irc relation at all. My site hosts the full weight of the bandwidth. Heck I have tons of bandwidth and tons of storage . I started a contest and posted the link while trying to not be spammy.

How in the hell do I get people to post ?

What killed Tech Evolution

Ok I understand that if someone wants to sell their work.

They want to be the only person making money on it. And they do not want people to be able to get the software for free. I mean why buy the cow.....

But have you noticed, no one does anything anymore.

Everyone is scared of getting arrested for tweaking files and programs. I mean the past ten years have been amazing in software development. Now it's just down to a trickle. We aren't moving faster and faster every time we check, anymore. Those days are gone. Kids now are scared to mod psp software because those who do and show others, get silenced fast.

i mean the most I learned was when I was wanting to make my purchased items better. Like over clocking, there are no over clocking forums left but one or two . I mean back when everyone was tweaking and modding their Xbox, we where learning so much from each other. We where passing notes and moving faster and faster. People emulated machines. Sony killed that when they created psp addons and called them "Emulators" . If you did any searches on the net for "emulator tips" you would find stupid junk that showed you how to change your back ground on your psp. I mean they did that very well I have to give them props. But my god, if it wasn't for people modding the psp... Sony would have no idea what firmware to add to the stupid battery chugger.

So now you just have to sit around and wait on sony to tell you what's good.

We are getting dumber by the minute. Don't bother asking any kids these days how to play a 360 game on a computer. They flip out and tell you you need a decompresser... blah blah blah.. It's software.

"Encoded" means YOU think it's unbreakable.

Where is the crowd of people who inspired others to get upset with the useless crap bundled in our gadgets?

What happened to everyone? I feel like it's becoming a TiVo/Apple world. Where everyone just sits with their mouth open waiting to be given what ever there is to fill it.. And we like it.

Was it laziness? Did the really tech gen just get old and walk away?

Am I a dinosaur? Did everyone stop caring what it is inside their gadget that rattles when you shake it?
