This article is short and yet very interesting. To me, The Secret to success is having a far vision (huge goal) and work out plan to fulfill the smaller goal, which all these goals are in line to the far end goal.
    1. Having a firm and focus mind is very important because if we are not focus, most likely we will need to settle the unnecessary issues which consume a lot of time, effort, recourses, etc.
    2. Having a goal that is to bring benefit to ourselves and others. Reason is when the goal is only for ourselves, after going through one difficulty and another, at times, we will feel tired and to give up easily, but when we don’t work for ourselves, we will bear up the burden of others, while all these burden is up to our shoulder, we will then only be thinking of how to achieve the goals and not just focus on the difficulties that we are facing, because a great goal will make everything else become smaller and by then, the difficulties is already not so difficult anymore. When we don’t want our boss to look bad, we will give in all we have to protect him, by doing so, it also help us to upgrade ourselves indirectly, because when we are helping our boss to go higher, we are also stepping up the ladders at the same time, and when we became the great help for our boss, he will also give us a hand to pull us up, so that we can help each other and to achieve a greater goal. A person’s value is depends on how he carries himself, when we always give a helping hand to our colleague, be there when they are helpless are the first step to create a good relationship with our fellow colleague, doing our part of duty well and have integrity to fulfill our promises whenever we made, it will eventually create a strong and reliable pillar to them. When working near this pillar, they will also slowly adapt to this and later on become another pillar to other colleague, when everyone is helping each other to fulfill their goal, a harmonious work place will formed, and when working in this environment, we will achieve a greater goal together and everyone will feel good to it. Automatically, respect is gained.

Climbing the corporate starts with not wanting to be a boss. It really starts with just doing the job in hand well every time. When offered more jobs, take it without complaining. When you work on the jobs given, you’ll gain experience and knowledge no one can take it away from you. With more experience and knowledge, you gain respect and confident from your colleagues , customers , stakeholders and bosses. Respect and confidence make you competent for larger job scope, thus, promotion. But having IQ is not enough, when you starts to work with others, you need good inter-personal skill, social skill, empathy, consideration and respect for others. In short, you need high EQ. But to lead others, IQ and EQ will not be sufficient. Manager manages things. Leader lead people. When you lead people, it is no longer just doing things right anymore. It is about doing the right thing. That will bring you to the area of spiritual quotient, SQ. A leader is not appraised according performance. Instead, a leader is appraised according to his wholesome initiative. Doing the right thing. On then, your staff and other stakeholders will accord you the title ‘Boss’. A good boss works for the staff. A good staff work with his/her boss. Do not be too engrossed climbing the corporate ladder too quickly. Spend more time making sure you have the ladder is up against the right wall first. A title in a company is invested by the company unto you. Whilst climbing up the ladder, do not forget people on the way up. Why? Well, you will get to meet the same people on your way down one day. Once back on the street, without your title, you are on equal ground to the prison next to you. No CEO, COO but Mr or Ms so and so. A successful person is one who still have many friends after the rat race is over. Not a lonely sod.

    Dear Rimpoche,
Many thanks for your blog posts and updates. It’s great to have this connection with you. I hope your health improves daily.
Re: your interest in which Mahasiddha is a personal favorite— it’s Mahasiddha Kukuripa. His life story reminds me of a recent set of teachings Kyabje Gelek Rimpoche gave on The Essence of Superfine Gold (3rd Dalai Lama)(Lam rim gser zhun ma) on Je Rimpoche’s Lam rim nyams mgur. KGR said “if you do not see the faults of suffering, you will never develop the wish to be free from suffering. If you don’t see how the origin of suffering leads to samsara, you won’t know how to free yourself and you won’t recognize what binds me to the suffering. You have to know what makes you continue.” For me (speaking as a student here only) this story tell me that even tho Kukuripa had the joy of the higher realms, he knew that it wasn’t outside samsara. His dog in some way gave him greater wisdom about the nature of samsara. And his love for his dog and his knowledge that the upper realms were not the ultimate goal, brought him back to earth to treasure his dear animal friend. So he demonstrated renunciation, discipline, aspirational Bodhimind and action Bodhimind. So inspiring. Plus he was way into animals!

Whenever I see Rinpoche photo with Rinpoche’s grandma, I can’t help but feel sad. I would love to look after my gurus’s grandma if she was still alive today. In her best abilities, she has taken care of Rinpoche. And I’m very grateful that she gave Rinpoche some joy as a child. I remember Rinpoche told us that when her gramdma used to visit him in his foster parents house in New Jersey, she used to buy different types of costumes for him ie cowboy/red indian & etc. Rinpoche used to love wearing them. She loved Rinpoche very much but was torn between her daughter wishes and her instict as a grandmother.

Dear CK, Looking forward to take you and chai hang to Nepal. It is the environment there which is the most beautiful part. Majority of the people whom you will meet are spiritual. In the eyes of many it is a “3rd World” country but the spiritual “beauty” is first class. Somehow, when you are back in bustling and busy life in KL, you tend to have a part of Nepal in you especially the holy sites.

Nepal Holy sites always facinate me and I can’t never get bored of them. Tsem Rinpoche 3 years ago took his time and explained the holy sites very well to a group of us. Now is our turn to explained these sites to others. I have brought many people to these sites and I’ve seen some, their DHARMA SEED ripen after visiting the site. Some, their prayers are answered, some after the trip has changed for the better and some learns to accept things. This is the effect of sites which has been blessed by enlightened beings.

I am very glad to hear that results from Rinpoche’s check-up have been good. I hope so much that I have a place in Singapore that I can have the opportunity to be your host. I can only read about news that you are moving from one place to another but I could not do much. How nice will that be if I have a place in Singapore that I can do my tiny bit when you are undergoing treatments? And how blessed with that be that I can bring you foods (even though I am not a good cook and had hard time taking care of myself). But there are plenty of good vegen foods in Singapore, I can do that. I wish you a speedy recovery, Rinpoche. :)

Excellent writeup, Phil! Reading it and looking at the photos brings back so many amazing memories I have of Nepal when we went on our pilgrimage earlier this year. It’s like I was re-living my entire Nepal experience through your post. Nepal is really a beautiful place, with a strong, positive spiritual energy. And of course, the sites of the Diamond Lady herself are mesmerizing beyond words. I particularly loved the Vajrayogini chapel in Phatan! Definitely a must go. After I showed mum some of your pictures, she said… “I have to visit!!” hhaha. Thanks again Phil, and thank you Rinpoche, for kindly posting such a lovely account up. Love,

    Nice message to share: *******
    Dearest Rinpoche,
So glad and relief to know the good results of Rinpoche’s health checkup
from Su Ming when we were in Kathmandu.
The Kathmandu pilgrimage was an eye opener and enjoyable trip which I

at your residence which is the beautiful Ladrang. To be able to do my sadhana
in Rinpoche’s prayer room was like a dream come true.I look forward to do the

We took turns to cook in the morning. We are like one big happy family! The visits to the holy places and monasteries was an amazing experience for
me.Su Ming was a superb ‘tour guide’ as she explained and guide us.It was such
a memorable and enjoyable time for me.So fortunate to be blessed each time we

@Chandra Golay Dear Chandra, thank you for putting the VY praise here, I love it. This exact same praise can also be found on Rinpoche’s blog, under the “Sadhana & Prayers” post here: http://blog.tsemtulku.com/tsem-tulku-rinpoche/prayers-and-sadhanas/sadhana-prayers.html#vyPraise so it is authentic. I like the last 2 verses.. I think it illuminates the qualities of all Boddhisattvas very well. Thank you for the update on Rinpoche’s health, Jamie. It is fantastic news indeed, and yes, this should spur us even more to put in our efforts so that we can realise Rinpoche’s and Kechara’s visions. Rinpoche has put in the hardwork to heal himself and so should we. Time to soldier and push on a great deal more.

Amazingly humbling and a huge honor to receive long life prayers for Tsem Rinpoche composed by the one of world’s most elite Buddhist masters such as HH Trijang Rinpoche and H.E. Kensur Rinpoche the Abbot-Emeritus of Gaden Shartse. This only means that Tsem Rinpoche’s life must mean a great deal of benefit to the world. Thank you so much HH Trijang Rinpoche & HE Kensur Rinpoche! Tsem Rinpoche please continue live long and continue Rinpoche’s mission to spread Lama Tsongkhapa’s lineage in all directions!

    (Friday, Nov 25. 2011 12:53 AM)
To all concerned: Rinpoche has been undergoing many tests with various specialists (gastroentitis and liver specialists) and so far, the reports that are coming back are positive and tests are clear. The team in Singapore will be sending more detailed updates soon, I’m sure, but all is well and the tests seem to have been going smoothly. So Rinpoche is being covered by both Western and Eastern diagnosis and treatments. I understand Rinpoche has also been following a very good and wholesome diet :) It’s time for all of us to work harder at our individual practices and assignments, and create the causes for us to always maintain this precious connection with Rinpoche and the teachings. The good news about Rinpoche’s medical tests shouldn’t make us go back to being complacent and nonchalant, but spur us on even further – like the Chinese say, JIA YOU!!!

This picture was taken in Taiwan of Mr Kuan and myself..I should be around 5 years old here.. I was adopted by a family in Taiwan. They weren't really kind to me. Mr Kuan pictured here with me took pity on myself and would buy me toys and wash me and spend time with me.. I remember him kindly for his compassion towards a young boy...me. Thank you Mr Kuan for making my life better with your good heart and kind soul. I will never forget it. TR

Dear Rinpoche:

Very happy to received updates of Rinpoche's health but sad that Rinpoche has to suffer much pain. I must push myself to do more Dharma even if it helps to lessen a little of Rinpoche's pain.
I pray that Rinpoche wl remain with us for a very long time. And thank you vm for the cute gift - which reminds me of my attachment!

This is my favorite form of Manjushri. Would love to have a 3ft statue of this form. He holds one lotus with scripture on top. Ontop of scripture is sword. Manjushri's left hand is at the heart holding to the stem of the lotus. His right hand is elegantly over his right knee similar to White Tara. And his legs are in full lotus position. He is orange-gold in color like that of the sun at dawn. I love this form of Manjushri very much. TR

Dear Rinpoche,
This morning since 11am puja team ( lead by gim lee) is joined by SP, Pastors susan n ngeow in training for Gyabshi puja. From blending the ingredients, kneading n shaping the tormas.

Our existing pantry is certainly too small for so many people. The area of shabten khang pantry will be twice the size n also well ventilated.

We will resume with the puja after lunch break.
Thank you.
