My Chemical Romance and MASScanvas have teamed up to bring artists, fans, and T-shirt design enthusiasts the “My Chemical Romance T-shirt Design Contest.” The band is looking for people to submit a T-shirt design that represents the theme “Good vs. Evil.” Best part: not only do winning designers earn some serious cash and recognition, but proceeds from the winning tees support the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Here are a few key details and dates:

·         Design submission dates are from July 1-22.

·         In-progress designs and qualified contest entries will on display at http://apps.facebook.com/masscanvas/challenge.

·          Public voting takes place from July 23-31.

·         The band will pick the ultimate 5 winners based on the top 20 designs from the public vote.

·         The 5 winners will be announced via video by the band on or around August 18th.

·         Only these top 5 designs will be printed and sold in highly limited editions at http://apps.facebook.com/masscanvas/shop.

·         The 5 winners will each receive $1,000, and the top seller will receive an additional $1,500.

·         For every winning T-shirt sold at the end of this contest, MASScanvas will donate $2 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

·         It only takes $7,500 to grant one child’s wish, and the ultimate goal is to grant as many as possible.

The contest is to create a design for the Valleypalooza Music Festival on September 17th 2011. There is no theme, basically you just have to create something the festival attendees might like but take into consideration community, charity, giving, neighbors, Valley Park and great music (and reference the 2011 ValleyPalooza Music Festival. The ValleyPalooza organization reps will be the judges and the winners will be announced on March 4th, 2011. Designs can be pretty much anything that is up to two colors, up to 12″x14″.

Design submissions must be sent to ValleyPalooza@yahoo.com (subject line: 2011 DESIGN CONTEST) no later than February 28th, 2011 at 10pm CST in the format of a jpg or png, and should be no larger than 2 MB.

Check it. It’s Father’s Day really soon.. have you got him anything yet? The top five entries as selected by a Blue Ribbon Panel will be posted on the Army Ten-Miler web site. Registered runners only will be eligible to vote for the top design from June 17 – 24. Last year over 6,840 runners voted for the winning designs. Winners will be determined by the greatest number of online votes. Winners will be announced on the ATM web site on June 26.

Rifftrax is holding a t-shirt design contest. The prize is only a $100 Rifftrax gift certificate but you could have your design as the “official Rifftrax t-shirt”. So if you are into fame and don’t need much of a prize this might be a contest for you.
