Epson F2000 White Ink Channels Not Showing Up

I have self taught myself how to use my Epson F2000 white edition printer and through a series of unfortunate events (and bad advice from someone at Epson) the machine sat idle without the cleaning cartridges in for a few months and now the white channels are not showing up. I have tried many things (to my knowledge everything in the manual) to fix this before pulling the trigger on buying a new printhead.

Any ideas on how else to fix this? Has anyone taken off the old printhead and tried to clean it before putting a new one in? If it's no good anyway it might as well be worth a shot messing with it.

The most recent thing I've tried to do is replacing the white ink with the cleaning cartridges. I have two cleaning cartridges that came with the machine (so they should be brand new and they do feel full) but when inserted they were reading as not completely full. I started the process anyway and shortly after it started it alerted me that they were empty and needed to be switched with full ones; however, they still feel the exact same. I had to order some more, so they have not come in yet but it will not let me get out of this step. It will not let me select NO most of the time and when it does select NO it glitches and then goes back into it. I'm not sure if it is designed that way, but I appear to be stuck in this cycle regardless of the machine is turned off and then back on.

It sounds like I now have another issue since the cartridges weren't being read correctly and now possibly it is glitching. Has this happened to any of you or any idea what could be causing it? As soon as the new cleaning cartridges get here I will try to finish the process and hope that will resolve this situation but I literally cannot do anything with the machine right now until those cartridges supposedly come in.

Thanks!

Hi - I am hoping this great community can help answer some questions for me. I have been in discussion with my daughter's elementary school Parent organization about printing some t-shirts and sweatshirts for about 100 kids. I am very new to all of this, I have just been playing around making my kids shirts & masks but want to try to help the school. I have a Knight DK20S heat press. I also have a Brother HL4570 CDW laser printer.

More details of the project:
1. The primary logo on the front is multicolored
2. There will also be a list on the back of all of the kids names (one color)
3. T-shirts will be white and sweatshirts will be dark

Here are some questions:
1. Printer: Is the Brother HL4570 a good option for this size job or should I be looking for another laser printer (I am also open to an inkjet printer if that would be better)
2. Heat Transfer Paper: What heat transfer paper would you recommend for the t-shirts and sweatshirts? I do not have a cutter so is there self-weeding paper that I should use?
3. Cutter: Or, would my life be easier if I just got a cutter? If so, which would you recommend?

Thanks so much!

I've been researching it but haven't found an answer so anyone's help on this matter would be appreciated. Thanks

I do have temperature gun and when I check temperature of shirts,
it takes forever to heat the shirt, doesnt cure perfectly.

Hello,
I'm very new to screen printing and having trouble with curing
the plastisol Ink correctly. I mainly use 110 Mesh for big designs
and 160 for bit of fine line and some designs.

I cure the ink with heat gun and mostly the larger parts of inks
dries perfectly fine and when I do stretch test nothing cracks or peels off

However, dring curing some parts cracks crazy and peels off right away
and becomes dusty.

And after wash test, some parts also peels off and becomes dusty.

What am I doing it wrong? Am I over curing or not curing correctly?

Curing is extremly hard for me.. I do have flash dryer but I find it to diffcult to use it since I can't get the exact temperature of 350 and
never cures properly.

(I couldn't upload the photo but please check here for photos!)
