I have such an awesome day. Our Associate Director talked to me and discussed my probation. He said that I got very good feedback from our AU counterparts. :) The fun part was, he asked on whether they should keep me. I asked lightheartedly if that was a serious question. I was tempted to say that they should keep me because I am good, or rather very good. Lol.

Side story. I was chatting with our dev last Friday and we were talking about stuff. We talked about work, and I told him that this is my second job. I worked in Accenture prior to this. I joked that Accenture guys are very good. He said, 'Yeah, I know you're very good!' Lol. Minsan talaga, ang kapal ng mukha ko. Hihi. :)

I am glad that I get these reassurances that somehow I'm doing okay (hopefully, more than okay) on my job.

There are still a lot of things that I need to learn. I also know that I'm kinda difficult to work with, especially if the person is not at par with my expectation. I believe that I have really short temper. But so far, there are three people on my almost five years of experience that I wouldn't want to work with. The first one was from my second project, I heard that she wasn't happy when I got promoted back then. Lalo daw kasi akong yayabang. Lol. She backstabbed me a lot. Oh, and we're not friends. She blocked me on Facebook. :P

The second one was from my last project on the previous company. She hated and bullied me a lot. She sent SMS to me at 1 am just to say not-so-nice words. She even called me flirt. I was tempted to file a report to our HR then. Kaso kawawa naman. Well, the third one.. ayun. I'm pretty sure though that they also hate to work with me. :P

I also don't want to work with someone that I am in a relationship with. I was in this situation before and it was very difficult. Muntik na ako magbigti level. Joke lang. I'm a bungisngis person, but when it's work, it's work. I have a bad habit of pushing myself to my limit. I clocked to 15 hours once, pero di na gumagana utak ko on the 14th hour. Lol. When I'm busy working, I am really focus on what I'm doing to that point that I get irritated on unnecessary questions. But don't get me wrong, that rarely happens! :P One of my strengths is multi-tasking. If I am not too busy, I can still chat a lot, and browse. So when I still could check seat sales, I still consider my tasks as manageable. :P Magaling din akong pumetiks! :P Lol. There were also times in the past that I was too confident on my work (and too heartbroken lol) that I'd be drinking at Central with my friends on a Sunday (and once on a weekday) until 3am the following morning. We'd have coffee after, and I'd rushed home to prepare myself for work. Good thing, never pa ako nagka-hangover. :P

Oha, oha. Yun lang. I am hoping not to fail the people who trust me, including myself. I don't compete with anyone, but I usually get disappointed with myself when I am not able to deliver well. High performance, delivered nga eh.. este lumang tagline na pala yun. :P

I'm getting used to not seeing you everyday. I would look at your workstation and see that vacant space. I wouldn't see you during lunch, nor would I see you at breakfast. I am used to seeing you Offline on the Office Communicator. Of course, there's no Facebook account that I could check you on. I wouldn't know how you're doing, nor would I see how you might (and you should) be enjoying your long vacation. Funny, right? This is how it feels liking someone who doesn't know you.

What's worse than this feeling? Well, it's learning that he has someone else on the eve of your birthday. Great. Just great.

Pink and Stars

I don't usually blog about the stuff I buy, but this I can't resist to share. :D I went to SM North Edsa earlier, and tada.. there's a sale! Hihi. I usually frequent SM North/Trinoma especially on Sundays. I am an SM girl. I always prefer SM over any other malls because they've got it all for me. Lol. Today, I planned to buy few pair of shorts because the ones I bought online have been in transit, like forever. Hehe. I went to The Block, and got myself a high-waisted short, and corduroy shorts! Hihi. :) I was on my way to the Trinoma/MRT, then I saw the bags and shoes sale. I went inside, and found awesome deals. I saw a Vans Hello Kitty pair, but unfortunately they don't have it on my size.. and that was the time I saw this pair. Kilig moment level.

Okay, so please please don't judge me when you see me wearing this. :D I love it!! But I discovered, that it's for kids. Still, I love it. Star love, you know. :D

I bought another pair for my brother. :) Mas mahal pa yung sa kanya. Lol.

It's my birthday. :P I am 28 today. Gosh, I am that old. :) I had a sorta pre-birthday dinner with Chona yesterday. We talked about a lot of things such as family, friends and stuff. Feeling ko tuloy, may birthday blues nga ako. :D

I spent my birthday at home with the family today. Sana lang the kids were home too. Si Butchik lang nasa bahay. :) I bought Shakey's pizzas and Red Ribbon's ultimate chocolate cake for the birthday girl. :) Ganun lang. I am a simple person, I have a simple life, and I'm happy that simple things can still give me so much joy. ;)

I posted this as my birthday status, and I realized that I had almost the same message a year ago. Aha, so I'm still way far from my goal then! :D

I also received quite a number of birthday greetings. I am surprised that I received more SMS than Facebook greetings. My birthday notification is off for years. Hihi. I also got a number of birthday tweets and Instagram comment plus Viber and What's App messages. I have generation gap to the world, hahahahahahaha!!

I am honestly grateful to family and friends who I do not have to remind about important things about me. I have issues like that! HAHAHA!!

So I'm 28. I'd like to travel and travel and travel to places I can afford. Matagal-tagal pa ang Paris. :) These days, I don't feel relevant. I'd like to be able to do something again that matters. I hope I could find a regular volunteer work, or something. :)

It's been almost a year. I wrote about you a lot of times. But when we had a fight (one of the many fights we had), you told me to delete them, and never to write about you again. I did.

But today, I'd like to write about you. You were once the very special person in my life. You made me smile when I'm sad. You would make face on your car's side view mirror because you knew it would make me laugh. You were the only person who'd sing for me. You wrote songs for me. I once wrote you a letter thanking you for loving me, and for accepting my flaws. These were the happy memories.

The fateful night that I walked away from you, I decided to live. I cried the entire night. I fought for you. But then that night, I realized, the fight was against you, and I could not win. When I left you, I had to pick myself up again. When you pour yourself to someone, and the glass breaks, you'd end up breaking yourself even more.

It's been almost a year ago. It was a tough time forgetting you. When you met me, I was the type of person who was comfortable with her flaws. But I became insecure. I thought it was all my fault, as you claimed, that we broke up. I thought it was my fault. I thought I was lacking. It took me months to win myself back. But I guess, time heals all wounds. I won this fight against myself.

But I guess, despite all the odds we had, I still have to thank you for making me strong. I am not sure what's the point of writing about you. Maybe, it's a reminder on what I've been through, and the lessons that I should have learned from it. I learned to live. I learned to love myself more. I am smiling again.

I hope you're happy now. We all deserve to be. As for me, I'm sure someone would come along. He might not sing for me, nor would he write songs for me. But I'm sure (and I pray), he would love and respect me.

This is gonna be the last time that I'd write about you.

I think, I'll get that come June, or July. But I think I need to find a new tattoo shop. I checked the tattoo shop where I had my first one, but it's already closed. I hope to find a new one soon!! :)

Drama

So, just because I'm sad tonight.. I have this song on Repeat mode.

Mind you, this is one of my favorite songs, but somehow.. there are certain days when this song can make me really sad. Like today. :S

Maybe, it's because of work. I'm feeling a little tired lately. I've been rendering long hours nowadays. Yesterday, I was at the office a little past 7am, and I went home at 10pm! I even had a working lunch. I've been doing that for quite a while. I don't really mind long hours at work. Work is something that I know I'm good at. I don't mind giving my 100%, but of course.. my body couldn't say the same thing. :S

Maybe, it's school. I have completed all my subjects.. but my thesis. Yeah, I didn't get my sablay last April. I need to finish it ASAP, else.. :S

Maybe, I have regrets. I don't want to entertain this thought. It was one of the hardest decisions I made in my life, and I don't even want to think that I made a mistake. I had a clear direction on where I was before, I know where I would want to go, and then I decided to quit. I had the best support and the best opportunity, but I chose to leave. Now, I think I went few steps down and I had to climb up back again. But at this very moment, I could hardly see where I'm going.

Maybe, it's him. There are days when looking at someone you like makes you sad. This is one of those days.

Well, nevermind. This is stress.. talking!! :P

Let's Go!!

Budget travel is love. I have few more trips this year, and early next year. Mark booked a Bacolod trip with me and David. We are trying to challenge ourselves to stick on a PhP 5000-budget. I booked a Kuala Lumpur trip this January. Tagal pa! I asked Reg or Tin if I could stay in their place. Para tipid! I'm excited to visit Legoland, and the Hello Kitty Town. :)) So I have Boracay on June, Dumaguete on November, Bacolod this December, and KL on January!! Yey! Now, I must start to save!! I need to finance my trips! :))

I've been trying to be more independent these days.. and that explains my solo trips! Well, it's harder to convince friends to join me on my trips. Some of them are married, and have changed their priorities. Some of them are in a relationship, and have changed their priorities, too (at least on travel buddies). There are few of my friends that I already lost in touch with. There are very few that I used to be very close with, but when I left the company, we got demoted to being Facebook friends. Shame!

I am getting old. I need to be able to do things on my own. I'm clingy, you know! :P Okay, tungkol kasi ito sa budget travels ko, bat may drama? :D Basta, I also want to be able to visit Hongkong, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea aaannnddd Paris, Paris, Paris! But why so expensive? :S

My First Letter from My Sponsored Child

I love getting snail mails. Or rather, I love getting letters in general. I love writing short notes, too. :) There was a time when I'd write short notes on Post-Its and then placed it on their monitors. Nothing too fancy, just simple note. Wait, it's like the notes Laida put on Miggy's coffee mug... that sort of things.

So when I got my first letter from my sponsored child, I got giddy. At this digital age, I still get a snail mail. :)

Aside from the fact that I'm a fan of snail mails. I feel happy that I know I am able to help others. I would like to share her short letter.

I started the child sponsorship only last March. I should have done this a long time ago. :) I am able to help someone fulfill her dreams, and for me, it matters a lot. I hope I can do more. I hope we can all do our share. :) Click this link to sponsor a child. :)

It's already May, and a month before my birthday. Oh, I feel so young. :P Update update muna habang hindi busy. :)

Okay, I have NOT been to any beach this summer. Shame. THAT Cagbalete trip I was telling you is obviously a drawing. We just had lunch at Yakimix, and then they watched a movie. I didn't join them because I was scheduled to see the Script concert. :)

Lunch with Amazing

So after the lunch, I went to my place to change, and headed to Araneta Coliseum for the Script concert. Ampogi ni Danny, promise! :) The awesome performances, and the great crowd made it a superb concert. Pardon the lousy shot, though. :P

The following day, I went to my brother's graduation. Finally. :) I gave him an HTC phone as a gift. Buti naman natuwa siya. :)

I wasn't able to join the Pinatubo trip, because I fell asleep. We were supposed to meet up at 2am, but night before that, I had dinner + movie + coffee with Carla, Cora and Jeng. We watched It Takes a Man and a Woman, bonggels ang kilig. BIG WORD. So there. Sorry na lang ako sa Pinatubo.

The Club Balai Isabel summer outing got moved to Fontana. Sayang. I've been to Fontana when I was still in college. I was the VP of the Social Science Club and they let us join the faculty outing. Hihi. Still, I enjoyed my first ever summer outing on my new company. :) Not to mention that I got to see BB a lot. :)

So, as I've said, it's almost my birthday. I booked a solo trip to Boracay on June 15 - 18. Yebah! :D You read it right, a solo trip. I've been wanting do this ever since, but never got the chance to. But now, when Zest Air had their Piso Fare promo, I grabbed the chance and booked myself. :) I also grabbed this Ensogo promo, and I will be staying in Crown Regency for 3days/2nights. But I still need to find a cheaper accommodation for my 1st night. You all know that I am a budget traveler, this is already a splurge for me. :P

Plus I think, we'd be in Ilocos this May. Apple wanted to go ahead with this trip. Jusmio. I am purita mirasol na. But since I've been wanting to try sand surfing, sige na nga.

I'm back on track. I'm excited, baby. :))

Give up Something, and Sponsor a Child

I've put this off for the longest time. When I was still connected with my previous company, I promised myself twice the time that I got promoted that I will sponsor a child in World Vision. But I've never got around to. I always have bills to pay (and mall sales), and all the lame excuses in the world. But this time, I finally signed up. Maybe, I just have to give up a thing or two. What are you willing to give up to help? :)

Based on their website, World Vision aims to share and demonstrate the love and compassion that Jesus Christ extended to all people, especially to children, particularly to those living in poverty or suffering from oppression and injustice." They have this program called Sponsor a Child. You can help send a kid to school for PhP 600 per month.

I went ahead and signed up. You have the option to pay PhP 600/monthly, PhP 1800 quarterly, PhP 3600 semi-annually, or PhP 7200 annually. I chose to pay monthly. :) You also have the option to sponsor either a boy or a girl, I chose a girl. The donations can be coursed through your credit card, bank deposit or check. I opted for the bank deposit.

They sent me an acknowledgment email, and I paid for the PhP 600 through bank deposit and emailed them the deposit slip. They emailed me back to ask if I want my sponsorship manual, Thank You letter and picture profile of the sponsor child be sent through postal mail, or email. I opted for the email. :) Digital age, guys. Hihi. I was also eligible for the free candies, which I chose to send to my sponsored kid. :)

World Vision candies

My sponsored child is a girl from Aklan, she's on high school - 3. Good thing, I checked the picture profile again now, because I was supposed to get her a Barbie for her birthday on May 5! I thought she was on grade 3. Hehe. I might get her a book instead. :)

I find it too time and effort consuming to send the deposit slips monthly so I asked how I can auto-debited it on my BPI ATM. Here are the steps:

1. Login to BPI Express Online.

2. Navigate on Payments & Reloadings> Bills Payment> Enroll All Other Bills.

3. Input your ATM details in the Enrollment of Bills (other than Credit Cards or Loans) window.

4. Select World Vision Development Foundation.

5. Input your reference number. This should be provided on your Thank You kit.

BPI Express Online

6. Click on Submit button.

Once you have enrolled WVDF. You have to schedule recurring bills payment.

7. Navigate on the Payments & Reloadings> Bills Payment> Scheduled Bills Payment> Schedule Bills Payment.

8. Provide scheduled payment details.

9. Click on OK.

Easy, right? Now, I don't have to email the deposit slip monthly. :)

I feel so happy about this whole thing. I had three scholarships back in college from Sangguniang Kabataan (I was an SK councilor, hihi.), Governor's office and Mayor's office. I got them every start of the semester. These helped a lot. By signing up in World Vision, I feel that I'm giving it back to the community. Well, aside from that, I believe that education is very important. I would want every kid to get their education. If possible, finish college. It is not enough that one can read and write, we have to be able to catch up and compete with other countries in terms of education and skills. Dami kong sinabi! :P

Hihi.The past weeks had been really uneventful. I was focus on adjusting to my current work that I lost track on other things, but that would be another story. :)

But right now, I think I have few things that I'm looking forward to that I would like to share to you, guys. :)

The Pinatubo trip that was scheduled today has been cancelled. But we'll move it on April 7. I'll be with my forever travel buddies, Apple and Dwin, plus Apple's friends! Extra lang talaga kami ni Dwin, hahaha! Kwento on this soon. :)

Jonathan is arriving from UAE, and we're planning to have a quick pre-summer getaway in Cagbalete. It is slated on March 30 - 31, summer na yun noh? :P I hope this one would push through, everyone's been very busy with their lives at the moment. Catch up, catch up din, pag hindi busy. :P

Okay. I like The Script. I am never the super fan of anyone, any band, or anything. Auhm, except HP. :P But I like The Script. They'd been with me when I was so down and out. Breakeven, anyone? :P I dedicated one of their songs to a special someone, I'm Yours. Listen to it, it's pretty good. :) The #3 album has the brilliant song Six Degrees of Separation, sapul na naman. :P Okay, just to make the long story short, I bought a ticket to their concert in Manila.. just an hour ago? Hihi. I've been looking forward to their concert, but didn't buy the ticket right away. I got disappointed when I could no longer buy it online. But tonight is the night. I was browsing the Concerts in 2013 topic in Girltalk, when I remembered checking Ticketnet. Behold, Patron and Upper B are available. I couldn't afford Patron, so I got the Upper B. I don't care, as long as I could hear them sing live, that would be wonderfully fine. :) I'm so excited.

So, after that busy weekend, my brother's graduating on the 1st of April. I'm happy and proud sister. :) I planned on giving him a new laptop or a new watch, but he told me that he wants a new cellphone. Why oh why? A new laptop should be better, especially because I can use it. Hehe. But a cellphone? He used to be contented with a Nokia.Sigh. Might get him the S3 Mini, or a Experia. I always love the form factor of Experia. :)

I'd be on Club Balai Isabel on April 13 for my first company summer outing. Hmm, it's BB time! BB is my suplado crush. More on him soon, kung magkakaron ng more! :P

I have another gala scheduled. Hihi. This is supposed to be my pangarap na solo trip. But I told Jelai and EA that I'd be going to Dumaguete this November. They booked, too. I'm so happy. But they'd be leaving on Sunday morning, and I'd be back on Manila on Monday afternoon. I still have time for soul-searching! CHOS! :P

SSS is impressive. Hihi. I applied for my SSS ID last year, 12/28 at my province. The SSS branch near my place has the ID capture machine. I got my ID by early February. Goodness, that was fast! I was expecting to get it in six months to a year!

Well, applying for the SSS ID was a breeze too. I was just trying my luck if I could apply. I didn't bring anything. Good thing, I had my ATM and school ID with me. Yes, you read it right, my ATM. Apparently, ATM is a valid proof of identification. When I got there, I asked the guard about the ID application, and he gave me the E-6 form to fill up. I filled it up, and waited for few minutes to present my ATM and school ID. After they verified my form and ID, I waited for my turn on the ID capture machine. The guy who took my photo didn't show it to me, good thing, when I got the SSS ID, I looked decent. HAHAHA.

You can print the E-6 form at home, and then head to the nearest SSS branch. You can download the form here. The SSS ID will be mailed to your home. If you'd like to monitor your SSS contributions or loan applications, you can sign up in the My.SSS. I created my account there a long time ago, and I find it very useful.

My passport would have expired this March, so I opted to renewed it last month. I heard that passport renewal is a lot easier now. Guess, that's true.

1. Schedule your passport application/renewal online.

2. Print the forms.

3. On the day of the appointment, bring your expiring passport, photocopy of the front and back sheets of your passport, and the printed forms.

Yep, that's it. Just make sure to arrive on time. I scheduled mine in SM Megamall at 4:00 pm. I arrived on the dot! Hihi. I handed over my requirements, and went to get a number. I waited for my number to be called which took me at least 30 mins. On the first station, the staff checked my requirements, and invalidated the old passport . I headed on the cashier next to pay. I paid PhP 950. I opted for the regular one, and pick up only. It's just in SM Megamall, I can manage to pick it up. I can go shopping afterwards pa. Hihi. :) The last station would be for the encoding of the details, I signed a document to verify the accuracy of the information, and affixed my thumbmark. This took me almost an hour. They took my passport photo as well. And I'm done. I'll pick up my passport on the 15th. For the complete details of the requirements, you can check it here, and the passport fees on this link.

Wassup, baby? :P

I'm one month on my current work last Feb 7. Yebah! :P I've been surviving Makati and my schedule, so far. :) I'm getting used to traversing the malls. Wahaha! :P I am tempted to buy stuff every freaking day. HAHAHA.

I used to take a cab in the morning, but decided that the bus is far more practical. Imagine, 100 PhP vs 12 PhP. I'd go for the latter. :) I'm on tipid mode.

I take my lunch either in the canteen at the 4th flr of our building. Or in the North Park/South Park. These are in the parking areas. Hehe. Or sometimes, we'll buy in the JolliJeep and eat in the pantry. My lunch costs me 50 PhP to 70 PhP. My teammates are helping me to save. Hihi.

During the splurge days, I'll have to get a frappe or a milk tea. I'm trying to make Friday just the splurge day. :)

I drew up a budget plan for the entire year.Yeah, I did this before, and failed big time. I'm hoping that I'll be able to stick on my budget. Hehe. :) I'm planning to leave the ATMs and the credit cards at home.

Vision board update. Yihee! I've started working on it. :) I asked my friend, who'll be coming home from US this March, to get me a red Seagate Backup Plus external hard drive in Amazon. He sent me a photo this morning. It's 1TB instead of 500 gb. Yey! :D

I started sponsoring a child on World Vision. I didn't have the profile of the kid yet. I only paid for the first one last week. :) I'll have more kwento about this soon. I blogged before that I'd like to get a Macbook, but I think I won't be able to use it as much, so I settled for an iPad instead. :D

So that's it, goodbye 2012! I had a good year. :)

I started my 2012 with our Mindanao leg. We had so much fun beach bumming in White Island (Camiguin), sorta-flying in Bukidnon and rafting in Cagayan de Oro. It was an awesome trip with my favorite travel buddies. :)

Last March, I left my second project (and my life at night :P). I was with the project for 11 months, and I made lots of friends here. We still go out during the weekends for coffee (more like coffee after few drinks in Central :P) I went with them in a quick Puerto Galera trip, and David Cook concert.

In the same month, I was rolled-in to another project. I was sent to Singapore on this one for a short training. This project provided me lots of career opportunities. Since I worked in the client site, I had a chance to work face-to-face with the clients. I became more careful on my dealings with people, and learned to live up with our tagline, High Performance. Delivered. Hihi. Seriously, I think I'm better prepared for more challenging projects in the future. :)

For my summer getaways, aside from the Puerto Galera trip, I went with Apple and Dwin to Pamarta Bali. Infinity pool love. :P

I had very tough time managing school, despite that, I'm proud to say that I passed our comprehensive examination. We took the exam last August, and got the result by the end of September. Yiheeee! :P

Since summer is forever (Peram ng line mo, Apple!) we went to Calaguas last October. Finally a dream come true. Hihi. It was a long hours of travel, but oh so worth it. :)

December. After 4 years and 5 months with my company, I finally decided to leave. I am more than thankful for the opportunities that the company provided me. I had the best managers/mentors, and I look forward in working for this company in the future. I just owe them everything. :)

Come January, you'll find me in the streets of Makati. :) I'm hoping for a great year ahead. :)

Oh la la, 2013!

I know, it's quite early for any 2013 related post. But I'm getting really crazy this minute. 2013 is scaring the sh*t out of me!! Okay, school first - I'm currently taking up 3 electives. I have classes from 6pm - 9pm on Wednesdays and 1pm - 7pm on Saturdays. My Wednesday subject requires a sorta mini-thesis. My Saturday subjects require several group papers + few individual papers + class reporting. I have an INC on one of my subjects which requires me to take a final exam. To top it all, my thesis is still under revision!! I HAVE TO COMPLETE THESE IN ONE SEM.

Hmmm, for work .. This might require a lot of adjustments. I'll be leaving my comfort zone! I might make kwento once it's official! :) This + school is making me crazy.

I know. I can do this. I've been working hard for both school and work the past years. I should be able to handle these (trying to convince self).

Hmm. Okay, I'll treat my brother and myself to a Hongkong trip on my birthday next year. We'll both be graduating! This should force me to be a superwoman!! :D At least, that's something to look forward to. We can do this! AKO PA! :P

I TRIED Surfing in Bagasbas

Okay, so the operative word is TRIED! Hihi!

I am not a morning person, and it surprised me that I was able to wake up early in Calaguas. Not sure if it was because I slept in a tent, but I had a good sleep nonetheless! We spent the morning beach bumming. I think I could add that skill in my resume - beach bumming! Hihi.

By the way, Dwin created this the day before. Galing niya noh? :) We saw few other people photo op-ing with this! :)

At around 10 am, we left the island, and headed for our destination - Bagasbas! Lucky for me, the waves weren't as crazy as the day before. But unfortunately, we still reached the port at around 1pm. We were told to expect a 2-hr boat ride only. We rode a jeepney to transfer us to a bus. The bus brought us in Bagasbas. We reached the place at around 2pm! We took a very late lunch at the Surfer's Inn. I was already being masungit at this time!

We went in the beach for our surfing session, which was 400Php/hour. Okay. So I haven't tried real surfing yet, and from our group, only Juni is quite the surfer. He frequents Baler! :)

They gave us a short lesson on surfing - the do's and the don'ts! The instructor made me try to stand in the surfboard following the steps he told me, and then he decided that I'm a goofy. So you see, you'd be either a goofy (right foot forward) or a regular (left foot forward).

Okay. I have to be honest! I wasn't able to stand on the surfboard! Sigh! In the middle of my session, the instructor told me that it seems like I'm a regular. Well, maybe because I was just copying him when he was giving instructions. I'm such a bad student!

Okay, so we can't be good at everything, right? :P

We returned in the Surfer's Inn to freshen up, we had to be ready by 6pm. Unfortunately, we left the place at around 8pm. The bus left at around 9pm! Well, the good thing with that was we had few hours of bonding and photo ops! :)

But that was another round of long hours in the bus! We reached Manila at around 6am! I still had few hours of sleep before I reported for work on that day. I'm such a model employee! :P

It was long hours of travel, and not the most comfortable trip I had, but believe me, Calaguas is so worth it! :P

I Fall in Love with Calaguas

Calaguas, baby!

We've been wanting to go to Calaguas, and I've mentioned that here in my blog every now and then. We would have plans, but we would end up cancelling it. But Apple pushed this trip. I usually create the itinerary for all our trips. But not this one. Maybe, Apple thought I wasn't serious in going. :P

I thought, it would be just me, Apple and Dwin again. But fortunately, we were able to convince Juni to join us. Monica and Ruel (Apple's friends) joined the trip as well. I don't think Apple had a hard time arranging this trip though. I'm sure, all she had to do was to contact Melvic. Hihi. Peace, teh! :P

Calaguas buddies!

We initially planned to get the 3days/2nights package, but due to the bad weather, we were forced to get the 2days/1night trip. We paid Php 3200 each which included the land transfer, boat transfer, tent, camp meals, life jackets and DRINKS. :P

We left Cubao at 9pm of Oct 26. We were expecting a long ride, so we tried to catch some sleep. We got to Daet, Camarines Norte at around 7am. We took our breakfast at Jollibee because breakfast on the first day and dinner on the last day were not included in the package. At around 9 am, we left for the island via a boat.

We were expecting a 2-hour boat ride, but due to the bad weather. We arrived in Calaguas at 1pm. The waves were crazy that day. I puked. Such a wimpy kid. :|

We left Cubao at 9pm the previous night, and arrived at Calaguas at around 1pm the following day, so that was a total of around 16 freaking hours. There was no signal in the island. I wasn't able to check in Facebook. :P No aircon accomodation. No comfortable bed. But for something this amazing, I wouldn't think twice of going through that again. Calaguas is so worth it. :)

When we got there, I was surprised to find some cottages. I thought the island is bare. We put our things in one of the cottages while we beach bummed. They (the organizers) prepared the food, and put up the tent for us. We felt like kings and queens. :)

When the food was ready, we devoured it like hungry wolves. Kidding. :P But we had a buffet, and the food was good. Although, I'm so easy to please when it comes to food. :P

All the camp meals were included in the package. After we had our dinner, we took a quick shower (ala tabo). We went to the socials.They setup a mobile bar at night, and we all got free drinks. :P

School is Cool

Guess what?? I passed!! HAHAHA! I really could not believe it. My friend said, ang daya ko daw. Di daw kasi ako nag-review. Nag-review kaya ako. :P

Yeah, yeah. I am talking about the compre. We took the exam last August 12, and got the result by the end of September.. the waiting almost killed me. :P I was at work when the other Sheena SMS'd to inform me that I passed the compre. I called her to verify. I even called the TMC office. Well, ayaw ko naman kasi ng false alarm. :P Ayun nga, I passed. I didn't ask for my score though. :D

I'm Everywhere

.. except on Facebook. :P Well, technically, I'm on Facebook. But I recently deactivated it yet again. No, I am not hiding from anyone. But I think, I just got bored with Facebook. :D

I used to maintain only one social networking site - Friendster. I was so loyal to my account that I declined all the invites from other sites. I loved Friendster. I still do. I downloaded my information when they've decided to turn into a gaming site. I miss the Who's Viewed Me. Of course, I miss the testimonials. :P It was fun to get kind words from friends until it turn all glittery that I had to disapprove them. :D

My friend invited me in Facebook back in 2010. I was so bored in the office that I signed up. From then on, I experienced all sort of changes that Facebook had. Mark even got married already. Facebook had their IPO. Facebook is on Timeline now.

This isn't my first time to deactivate my account. But I must admit that I log in once in a while when I want to buy something online. I am a fan of online shopping, you know. :) Facebook invaded the World Wide Web that it is forcing me to log in before I could view the stuff that I want. *sigh*

My Facebook-less life is not as bad as I thought it would be. I am still connected to the world in some sense. Hello, I have Twitter. I love it! :P

Ironically, I am careful on approving friends on my Twitter. But I do accept friends of friends and blogger friends. I am Twitter friends with my cousins, classmates, college friends and colleagues.Twitter is my ranting and kilig space. When I get disappointed over something, I tweet. When someone bullies me, I tweet. When I get a chocolate from my crush, I tweet. When I finally end up with him, I will tweet. But that's another story. :P

I am also on Instagram. Instagram is for photo sharing. You can take a picture, apply a filter and share to everyone. My profile's public, by the way.But I hardly share drool-worthy pictures. :P

I've been on Google+ way before I signed up in Instagram. But I hardly post here. When I do, it's about something that I couldn't say in Facebook or Twitter. It is usually something big. :P Remember, Twitter is my ranting space. If I couldn't post it in Twitter.. hala, alam na! :P I only have very few friends here and they are mostly my classmates in my masters. :)

Not so Perfect Life

I'm done with my compre! Hurray!! Here's to hoping that I won't need to retake it. :P We will get the results in two months time. Tagal!!

We went to Tina's house for a post compre celebration. Haha. I've been out of the radar for few weeks, but I was glad to spent few beers with them. We left at around 2 am. :D

Now, I have to concentrate on my research project. I actually have to start it na! Anong petsa na? :D

I have another exam tomorrow, an internal certification at work. I haven't checked my notes yet, I'm still downloading it at the moment. :D Sigh. When will I change? I'm the queen.. Queen of Cramming. :P

There is a very long weekend coming in but I might be working on those days. I'm fine with it, I'm fine with the holiday premium, too. :D

By the way, someone is bullying me, and I'm trying my best to ignore it. I'm such a bully magnet. :| Well, the good thing is there's someone constantly reminding me that I'm doing well with my work. I'm happy. :D

Life is not perfect. But who cares? I am not perfect. But I am happy. :D

Compre Cramming

I'm scared. Tomorrow is our comprehensive exam for my masters. It should cover all the core subjects we had, as in everything. :| I just started my review last Saturday because I have been very busy with work. I also been procrastinating a lot. *sigh* I am really hoping that I will pass. I can do this. I can do this. Can I really do this?

If I pass our compre, I will buy myself a MacBook Pro or Air. Just kidding. :P Whatever the result, I'm eyeing the MacBook. :D Which one's better though? :)
