Carlo, try the <a href="http://farcrygame.com/unlock" rel="nofollow">Revocation Tool</a> UbiSoft provides and see if it makes a difference. Otherwise, you should probably contact the technical support.

It's a matter of taste and preference, I guess. I do need loud, tactile feedback (the good ol' IBM clicks). I guess that's because I'm used to these kind of keyboards and have a hard time adapting to other concepts like notebook or ultraflat keyboards (I basically detest both types).

What rubs me the wrong way with Apple's keyboards is the design and the key feedback (feels kind of like pressing a button on my cellphone to me). Round keys? Bah! But as I said... matter of preference.

And just for the record: The G80 is still awesome in my book, no complaints yet (kind of to be expected if they advertise it to last 10 years :) ).

Where do you "call" it? Farcry2.exe/revoke I did it in run and in cmd
It should work with both methods. As I stated before, I don't know if this has any effect whatsoever when using files that have been tampered with but you should see a dialogue similar to the one when you first had to activate the game.
Just came across this blog while looking for the propper site. You need to run Farcry2.exe /revoke from within your farcry 2 installation folder. So if you install it to the default (whatever that is "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Farcry 2\") you need to type the following into the command prompt (start > run)

cd "Installation directory" without quotes
Farcry2.exe/ revoke

for me it is

cd C:\Games\Farcry 2
Farcry2.exe /revoke

sorry to make this such along post, just thought i'd add incase anyone else wanted to know =)
Yes, very good text editor!
This might help, how to crack e-texteditor.

Ver 1.0.31

edit e.exe in some HEX editor
find offset 59190 and make following changes:
c6 87 a4 00 00 00 00 89
|
+----- replace with 1
c6 87 a4 00 00 00 01 89
Many Thanks to whoever spent many hours of stepping and tracing through this code to find this fix. It worked great! I'll buy the program when my bank accounts aren't overdrawn, but in the meantime you're a lifesaver.
Thanks
This fix should be posted on the MS Download Center main page! One quick question: On Vista x64, I had to copy/paste my 'hdparm' folders from 'program files (x86)' to 'program files' in order to install the fix. Then I copied your files back to the original 'hdparm' folder (/program files (x86)/). I also edited the hdparm.XML to match the proper location. Is that adequate to ensure your fix will still work?
Yes, as long as the xml configuration has been altered to reflect the changes, it should work without any problems.

Yes, very good text editor!
This might help, how to crack e-texteditor.

Ver 1.0.31

edit e.exe in some HEX editor
find offset 59190 and make following changes:
     c6 87 a4 00 00 00 00 89
                        |
                        +----- replace with 1
     c6 87 a4 00 00 00 01 89

This fix should be posted on the MS Download Center main page! One quick question: On Vista x64, I had to copy/paste my 'hdparm' folders from 'program files (x86)' to 'program files' in order to install the fix. Then I copied your files back to the original 'hdparm' folder (/program files (x86)/). I also edited the hdparm.XML to match the proper location. Is that adequate to ensure your fix will still work?
Does anyone resolve the problem?
I'd like to see the whole Desktop, I google a lot but I don't find any solution...

It seems this problem won't be solved through the software side (which I personally think is regretable).

At least for me it's no longer an issue as I have retired my old CRT and went for a digital TV. Scaling is fine now, although this is of course no short-term solution and quite expensive.

Don't make the mistake I did and add a space at the end of the "\Data". Nxclient will happily try to create files such as
"..\Data \Xauthority" and fail.

If you don't have a original copy, I can't help you - sorry.

Amazon.com has a great deal, though: $49.99 for Far Cry 2, comes with a serial number that'll definitively work online ;) .
