Finally can do black tshirt and new vinyl products...

Hi, Its been a while since I post some updates on Tsukinari Design, a tshirt division from my facebook page (LINK).. stuffs is doing pretty okay.. albeit a bit slow since most customer doing request ^^.. lack of colored tshirt is also concern since I dont have the right machine to do colored tshirt yet.. but with recent updates now its different ^^

Recently I bought a critical item for doing heat press tshirt on black tshirt.. Silhouette Cameo - Electronic Cutter Machine.. and started to accepts order for black/colored tshirt along with that 3 of the new designs that I did specially for new heat press tshirt products.. Vinyl Heat Press Tshirt.. vinyl is a bit different than the print heat press.. instead of you print design and heat press it.. vinyl is more to cut and heat press.. using special material made from PU (polyurethane) which is thin, very durable, easy weed process, and comes with many effects.. it can be cutted for designs, texts and so on.. apart from PU Vinyl heat press transfer.. the machine also can cut normal sticker for cars, signage, small sticker for gadgets, and more and this will be nice side product that I can make available for you guys..

This will get me a bit pretty busy and hope wont hinder any my gunpla WIPs lol.. and for next mileage for this project will be bigger printer for full color print heat press.. will be eyeing for A3 Pigment Inkjet printer for bigger design output... It will be costy but I will try my best saving and buy one ^^

The Current State of Working Projects

Za works in slow progress...

As the title said.. the post that I've been longing to post, and listing the current states of tons project that I'm still doing... the Current State of my many working projects, WISP stuffs and backlogs...

After finish recent build the HGUC Bawoo.. which is a bit sudden, due to want to actually finish a kit for a Group Build that I've joined.. although I joined before.. but I never really complete it which still need a bit adjustment overtime (HGUC Sinanju) and some of them I totally missed the date (ouch)..

So I think it will be wise to do a listing or a check list to remind me what I'm still havent finish and working on ^^;;.. the listing will be categorized.. from Snapfitted with planning description to WISP long overdue works with description and most recent build that I'm doing that near finishing.... the list will be the most near complete one till the most least complete one....

HGUC Jesta Custom

One of the WISP that long pending, its primed already now just waiting for masking and painting ^^;;

MG Kampfer Custom
Most of the parts are already primed, some parts need to be fixed still, since theres some parts need to be cemented after painting (like the thigh parts).. I think this kit will be long work for painting since it has much more parts than average HG.. hopefully will take less time after Jesta..

HG GN Archer Custom
Modding is still WISP, lots things to do still.. I have lost track what I need to do on her lol.. will be back on her soonish

HG GN-XIII Custom
another kit that WISP like ages.. seems that Modding took me a very long time to be done.. due to many reason lol... hope can get back to him and make some progress

HG AGE-1 Normal
Most parts already sanded, just need to be cemented and seam removal, probably also need minor mod for easier when painting..

Like AGE-1 Normal, cementing and seam removal is pending.. gotta have to look for minor mod too for easier painting... planning on color scheme is on the way.. probably doing Hybrid like Bawoo..

HMM Gun Sniper (STK)
Still in snapfiting, so many parts for this tiny kit.. (smallest Zoids of all Zoids).. since its a bootleg many parts dont go well with each other (expected), mold problem (also expected since its their first release).. since its pretty cheap RM50 (Ori RM150ish) I dont really mind lol.. got some taste building a Zoid kit.. which is very new to me (very tedious too.. too many small parts) its not too hard but if you usually doing kits.. its a good one.. (the Zoids kits, not the Brand which is bootleg, Original is better imo)

A blog revival post, finally..

Hi guys.. Its been like almost 5 months since my last post lol... so many months havent update this blog >_<;; .. lots of things happened and theres so much things to share but always forgot.. since I always on Facebook.. kinda forgot to update and share what I have been doing, what I have found, and what I've been interest in lately.. haha... and I thought this post might can be the point of revival post for my long not updated blog lol.. I will remind myself to post often here and share stuffs that I usually do in the past ^^;;

Okay, what this post is all about?
in past few months I have joined a Group Build in Facebook Group called 'Scale Modeler's League' and will be doing a Monoeye category Group Build.. so I pick one a HGUC Zeon kit and AMX-107 Bawoo is my choice... the Kit is pretty old (2001) and I like the design since it reminds me of Zeta Gundam in some sort...

Like always.. I did a re-paint job and pretty satisfied with it.. I try a new paint pattern that I kinda interested called Hybrid Pattern.. It based on 2 different tone with random shapes and stripes along with it and the design is not symetrical.. I did a purple on light purple color scheme which is turn out to be pretty good..

Snapfitting Rage Day 3 [MG Kampfer]

Finally MG Build after 2 years since last build lol...

Next Snapfitting project is MG Kampfer, bought this guy about 3 years ago.. backloged it up untill now.. started since few days ago.. only manage to done arm parts.. took around 10 hours in total (in 3 session of builds) and of course complete with nub marks removal and surface smoothen..

Since this is old MG kit, released in 2001 which is long time ago.. I got old batch production maybe production of 2001~2004.. not sure.. the plastic is a bit hard... kinda fragile a bit near the runner flash parts.. theres alot of tension marks around the nubs area due to its an old kits.. many nubs need to clean lol.. I didnt get the new batch one, the one with clear parts campaign coz bought it before that..

More is coming in next few days, hope will finish this as planned lol

Snapfitting Rage Day 2 [HG AGE-2 Normal]

done snapfit, 5 more to go~....

Day 2 of Snapfitting Rage Worklog, may as well call Part 2 combined... Finally finish snapfitting HG AGE-2 Normal kit complete with nub marks removal and smoothen.. including sharpening the v-fin of this guy..

Took around 10 hours total time to finish from zero to finished OOB-ish build, combined with 4 session of worklogs timed as follows, Day 1 (part1) - 1 session about 4 hours, Day 2 (part2) - 3 sessions about 2 hours, 2 hours and 1 hours each session respectively..

As noted before Days are only count when theres Snapfitting is in commerce, combined session as to parts/days, and not means by the calendar days.. Its a bit weird but I decided to streamlined it a bit and make it short as possible, dont have to be detailed WIP progress, just act its a short report/worklogs for the project ^^

Some pictures that I take while building this kit :-

1st session, took about 2 hours to finish the legs part, nub marks cleaned ^^

2nd session, another 2 hours to complete the the waist parts and the binders, a usual nub marks cleaned too

Took a close up shot, pretty nice kit I would say.. have quite a bit fun since Its kinda a while I havent build kits lol

Last session, with weapons and shields done snapfit, cleaned and also sharpened the v-fin ^^

Snapfitting for this HG AGE-2 Normal kit is now done, and just waiting for cements (with some minor joint mod) and painting, queued up with some other kits that also waiting LOL, hope after this Backlog Clearing Project, I can start doing painting soonish~

So what after this?

Originally I was going to start next with HG 00 Gundam 7S/G but.. since I have build 00 Gundam before I think I will skip this and put it at last one, and move to different grade kits that I think havent build since 2 years ago... yeap a Master Grade kit, last time I build is MG GN-X, and that was 2 years ago if I remember.

So, theres some MG that I havent build yet.. I think I'll start with my first Zeon kit...

MG MS-18E Kampfer~...Its been 3 years since I first bought it lol.. thats really long.. Its my first Zeon kit.. first monoeye kit, so yeah.. Next is this guy~ KAMPFER!!

Expect to see some more Snapfitting Rage post after this ^^, will do my best to clearing up backlogs~

[Gunpla Backlogs Clearing Project]...

Its been since August haven't update my blog lol, this mark another revival of my blog with a new project, which is I should have done sooner lol... the Gunpla Backlogs Clearing Project - Snapfitting Rage Day 1 HG AGE-2 Normal ..

This project is to clear up my unbuild gunpla that has been sitting/piling since forever! So I had to do this for me to buy more gunpla lol.. I have been keep my urge to buy new gunplas namely the new Gundam AGE HG kits and some other gundam kits due the number of backlogs that Ive been piling up, along with halted WIP progress ^^;;, so its time to clear some and make way for new one... To make this project quick, I'll be only doing Snapfitting with sanded nubs and smoothen the surface of the nubs areas.. further planning on modding/repaint will be decided later or execute later on.. I also made a simple road map for this project as below -

Started to build this guy at 8 PM (GMT+8), along with announcing the Snapfitting Rage Day 1 on my Facebook ^^

After about 1 hour ish, done the chest part along with sanding nubs and smoothen the sufrace

And at 11 PM (GMT+8) Manage to done head and arm parts with the hands (not in picture) before I went to sleep and will continue today for Day 2 (Part 2)

Will update this project regularly on Facebook and also in this very blog that has been left out quite a while ^^;;..
I hope that will finish this project according to road map and finally can get new gunpla soon lol

To Aru Shumi no Tsukinari is now on Minus, an image and media sharing site that makes sharing easier and free~! I've been searching for really nice image sharing that have really nice UI and sharing simplicity plus making album folder easier, furthermore having big drive space to work with.. Minus is the answer.. it give easy sharing by draging files into dropbox in the browser, making image folder album and build-in image viewer plus with drive space of 10Gb and upto 50Gb which is really cool to me ^^

WIP Straight Build SD Sinanju

Uber Delayed WIP Post lol.. ...

This post will cover my friend's SD Sinanju Work in Progress Straight Build, finished long time ago lol.. Just now I remember this was in draft like months and finally published >_<;;

SD Sinanju from Bandai, bought it back in March with price RM 36 from local hobby shop af-hobby.com

Content of the box, manual, runners and abundant of foil stickers >_<

Completed the head, the assembling of the head is quite straight forward.. and it really look nice~

Chest part, theres some polycap for the backpack and shoulder joint, and the foil sticker is easy one lol

Arm parts, the back of the hand parts is molded in grey with the hand, need to attached foil sticker to follow the original design, whole arm is molded in red too.. if want more detail need to paint the pipe around the arm, but my friend just want straight build, so I just skip it ^^

Leg part, this time I remember to make before and after applied the foil sticker, whole part again molded in Red, theres no knee articulation what so ever.. since this is SD.. its given..

Completed with feet attached, the feet consist two red and black part which is nice... no need the foil sticker for black part ^^

Waist part, little sticker need to be applied :), also pipe molded in black, instead of grey or silver, but for a SD, its acceptable

Shoulder parts, most of the parts are 1 part molded along with the thruster

Done assembled lower body part ^^

Back thruster parts, the upper parts can move around I think lol, assembling the thruster to the base is kinda pita, a bit tight..

Weapon parts, Rifles, beam axe thing and yellow jelly beam saber :D

And lastly the shield, the shield is molded 1 part, the sticker kinda pita to assembled lots of in curve and used toothpick to push to make it stick ^^;;

now give him some action shot (altho its practially very little lol) :D

Comparison with HG 1/144 Sinanju :)

This SD kit is quite okay, really recommended to who wants really nice SD for their collection, altho theres less articulation than todays SD kits, its still pretty good SD and who dont want Sinanju... its an badass MS lol, my friend quite like this guy, he may buy more SD in the future, hes eyeing for 00 Gundam next :D

Its kinda late review, forgot to post this review like nearly 2 months lol.. got pretty busy and having a withdrawals on Guild Wars 2 >_<;; Onore Arena Net lol

Anyway... this is the review for 1/8 scale Saber Extra from Gift that released in May 2012.. as usual me bought this PVC from Amiami.com..

Box View
The box design is pretty much similiar to the game design.. much blue watery background and boxy cut out for the window with is pretty neat :)

The Content

Not much for Saber Extra, the figure, small round mirror base and a fancy sword called Aestus Estus

some shots that I took for 360 rotation shots as usual.. Saber Extra is pretty nice PVC :)

The Details

Saber Extra is very nice PVC, the scupture is very detail as usual, as expected from Principality of Kagutsuchino (Toda Satoshi).. the red is very vibrant and metalic-ish.. the sense of movement is very well translated.. I like the little details that has inserted on the dresses, a very well done figure.. I like!

This mark of a bit blog revival after near 2 months inactive lol.. Drafted this review already before in notepad but forgot to add to blogger lolz.. just remember this after I bought another Saber loot that will be reviewed ASAP.. along with a quite long due WIP of a certain chibi red guy.. anyways thanks for reading and visit my blog ^^

1/7 Saber Lily ~Distant Avalon~

A over-delayed Review post ^^;;

Its a very very delayed Review that I finally got managed to do lol.. this is re-release of the original Saber Lily that released back in 2006... I bought this back in January 2012, and bought it from all time favorite Amiami.com.. the original price is 9,333 yen but knowing Amiami.com they give us a nice discount around 20ish percent and making the final item price is 7,260 yen... the shipping as usual I use Registered SAL and cost about 1,530 yen..

The Grand Box
The packaging for this Saber Lily is fantastic... its very metallic and the finishing is just awesome..

The Content

After pop the content out you get a very detailed sculpture of Saber Lily in her awesome pose.. it got the Base which is awesome, the 2 sword she use Excalibur and Caliburn along with the scabbard Avalon..

The Base

The base is very unique and very detailed. The paint job is very nice and I like the logo painted in Silver a very nice touch

The Weapons
Saber Lily comes with 2 swords Excalibur and Caliburn and Excalibur scabbard the Avalon and an optional hands for the Avalon attachment.. the Invisible Excalibur is not inlcuded for some reason (maybe its reserved for Saber ~Triumphant Excalibur~ PVC ^^;;)

The Details

This Saber Lily ~Distant Avalon~ PVC is very detailed and carefully sculptured.. I love every details on it and GSC did a fantastic job on this PVC.. I like the details of the Base, very nice one the checked box art on the base is really suit.. The dress sculpture is awesome and believable.. the paintjob is really nice.. the metal feel on the armor is very good.. The face is just lovely with the hair details to the ribbon details, its just awesome..

Unfortunately this Saber Lily cant fit into my shelf-o-saber due the size and limited space... So I had to resort to keep inbox until I find a solution to display it along with other sabers.. ^^;;

This photoshoot I use the recent experimental using the black backdrop, black shirt for the ground, and a reverse V lighting setup and additional light infront, forgot to take pic of the setup that I use..

Thats all for this review.. hope you guys like the pics that I take, this one is very lots pic that I took, about 100+ total and after filter it out, count to 52 pics overall lol

WIP One Piece Grand Ship Collection : Thousand Sunny Plamo

and quick review... my friend's first plamo ^^ ......

Decided to make a quick WIP post for my friend's first plastic kit, also for filling my blog that recently got quite silent lol.. he doesnt mind bout it haha.. so yeah.. the kit is from One Piece series.. Thousand Sunny ship plamo kit.. non scale small one..

Bandai has made a plamo series called Grand Ship Collection... they produces a small scale of One Piece ships plastic kits for those who can a small scale for display collection and stuffs... before Bandai did a non scale bigger ships plamo which is cost higher ala MG price around RM140ish.. now they making small scale giving collectors and plamo builders more choice.. with price around RM60 which is pretty nice.. so without further due... lets build this ship!

The box art.. pretty decent and nice artwork and designs~

Opened and you will see similiar stuffs like every gunplas that u got lol... Manuals, runner plates, and stickers/decals...

Runner Plate A - 4 color in one plate mostly for the deck area

You can see theres some very detailed mold.. I like~

Runner Plate B - White plate, parts for the sail, side of the ships and the ship's fence

See again the detail is very much nice~

Runner Plate C - Brown color, most of the ship's body parts

another more details goodness, altho the net is just one piece plastic and some details.. I guess its too thin to make it hollow ^^;;, still its very good one

Runner Plate D - Blue clear parts, water effect and base and the cabin lamp I guess.. the plastic is a bit soft ^^

And lastly the clear sticker decals and foil sticker sheet, theres a bunch of foil sticker but given the small scale and the price point.. I think its okay.. since the ship is colorful and if making all the color make the kit more expensive

Building process

Done the upper deck of the ship.. very easy to assemble, the details here is very impressive.. you can see tons of panel line you can paint here.. I didnt do it since my friend want it clean and well.. straight build lol (fast done lol)

the Ship base is made from 2 big piece.. slaps the sticker and done.. more panel lines opportunities kinda neat :3

connected the top and the base.. so far so good..

done putting the back side of the ship.. notice that the sticker got a bit dot bulged there.. this because of under the sticker the detail also got so its good for those who repaint their ship ^^

and slapped the stickers for colorfullness ^^

Put it together with the base pieces..now it looks nicer~

And put the lower piece and put on top the blue clear base.. the lower piece can pull out and use the wave effect so that can make the ship is sailing scene ^^

Skipped whole front parts while assembling and attaching sticker.. I must forgot to take it.. the front part is done.. the lion hair pieces color is red.. need to put orange sticker.. I which they make it orange parts ^^;; the front base also in wrong color, should be gold.. but its okay I guess.. The palm anchor(?) parts is PITA to put the sticker >_<;;.. same goes to nose haha

Put the back cabin wall, fences and some trees ^^.. very nice

the Cabin part, the roof yellow stickers is somewhat repetitive to do, kinda PITA but it does make the effects, there's also got panel line, easy to guide to those who want to paint..

Assembled it and its look pretty good...

Start building the back sail parts.. the flag need to put sticker and the red sail one.. need to put brown sticker too.. a bit PITA again haha

done.. and its looking pretty solid :3

and connect it to the ship's base.. along with the rope net there

The big sail parts.. now its the clear sticker decal time..

took a bit time to put it.. make sure it center and stuffs .. looks pretty solid..

And its DONE! with the sailing effect part~~... incoming more images lol

I'm loving the mold detail Bandai's putting here.. very accurate to the actual artwork of the ship.. my friend very happy with this kit.. and I'm sure he'll be getting more One Piece Grand Ship kits in the future~

Here for the comparison the how small the kit is.. yeah.. pretty small.. XD.. most impressive that the details in this kit despite how small it is.. sasuga Bandai~

Conclusion, this kit is exceed my expectation with the amount of details that Bandai put in this very small scale kit.. a lot small parts to assemble which is usually very good.. worth the price getting this kit IMO... altho the sticker is a bit set back but with how small the kit is, its expected.. I cant wait to see more of this Grand Ship plamo line series ^^

March 2012 Loots

There goes my backlogs~~ >_<;;; ......

A rather sudden loot btw.. was helping 2 of my friends buying their first plamo kits after a while deciding with one they gonna start with..

1 of my friend choose to build SD Sinanju for his first build.. its a good choice, I highly recommended him haha..

And the other my friend goes with rather unexpected new release, One Piece Grand Ship Plamo kits - Thousand Sunny... which is pretty cool one.. also made by Bandai... kinda nice kit..

While helping my friend buy some plamos, I bought some HGs for myself lol.. more backlog piling >_<;;;...

Its HG Gundam AGE-2 Normal and HG Zeydra... HG Gundam AGE-2 Normal is a must since its a protagonist MS, and HG Zeydra for ZD's newest groupbuild that will commerce soon ^^..

I was going to get the other 2 wears for AGE-1, Titus and Spallow and both G-Exes and G-Bouncer along with Dorado.. skipped 1st gen UE (Vagan now) MS since 2nd looks a bit better to me lol.. will get those soon after May or perhaps when my backlogs lessen ^^

Helped my friend build Thousand Sunny plamo last night and completed.. not doing anything fancy other than snapfit and applying stickers.. its pretty decent kit with lots of stickers.. and its pretty detailed despite its smaller scale.. will post WIP and review of it soon here ^^

Photoshoot Experiment

Got an interesting stuff and went testing lighting setup :3 .......

My dad bought these mini portable led emergency lamp that cost only RM2 each lol.. gave 2 to me for my car and home.. after looking into it I got this idea that might be useful for photoshoot lighting setup.. this thing got 6 mini led (3mm?) that is pretty bright.. also got red and blue blinking mode for emergency I guess.. ^^

Took some testing with Kiwami Damashii Kamen Rider Blade-san, my camera still with my dad still, so I'm using my Xperia Mini Pro phone camera instead.. please bear with a bit low and blur quality ^^;;..

This setting I just put the Blade-san in between the LEDs in a straight line.. schematic drawing below

and this one I made a reverse V setup... shcematic drawing below..

lastly using reverse V setup also.. but the right LED in red-blue blinking mode lol

I think I like the reverse V setup more than the straight line setup.. the straight line setup is good, I like it too.. but its just look a bit too much light on it, maybe coz I put it too near, not sure this is the proper one but yeah.. might use these for my future photoshoot.. also need black backdrop!

I went ahead and took some pic of my gunplas and sabers using these setup.. embrace the pic spam!

Sometimes the LEDs is too bright for some figures and gunplas.. I resolve it by positioning the LEDs away from the subjects or added a tissue filter over the LEDs which kinda works too.. I try to experiment a lil bit more like adding a third lighting source (the table lamp) and see how it goes lol.. note that I didnt use the room lighting for these, so yeah.. the LEDs is bright..

Thats it for the Photoshoot experiment.. more post is coming.. currently in draft backlogs lol.. too many post to make and too little time haha..

Resupply and Room Improvement

Hobby Tool re-supply and a rather subtle room improvement~.....

Its been a while since last post.. got pretty bz lately due some work and gunplaing, will post some WIPs soon ^^;;... Few days ago got resupply for my hobby tool stuffs...theres 2 separated shipment since I bought those from different shop, mgs2u.com and af-hobby.com... both is local online shop and provide Hobby supplies and also gunplas and figures.. no box pic so lets just skip to the stuffs that I bought ^^

Overall hobby tool re-supply that I bought...

First of all, Gaianotes Paints... bought Flat Clear 008, Clear Orange 042, and Intermediate Blue 062.. all bought from af-hobby.com ^^, Clear Orange and Intermediate Blue will be used for GN Blade Archer Revival Project ^^

Then here the Mr. Surfacer that I need since its already depleted, another one is Mr. Crystal Color Purple, first time bought pearl type paint.. let see how it works when applied.. will be used for HG AGE-1 Amethyst Project..

also got Tamiya Cement and Tamiya Extra Thin Cement.. both bought from mgs2u.com ^^

Finally got Pla-beams 0.5, 1.5 and 2.5mm diameter, will be use on some current project and hopefully can fix Saber-san shoulder joint ^^;; bought from mgs2u.com

For additional hobby supply got these Crocodile Clips with stick (10pcs) and plastic dropper (5pcs) for paint measuring when mixing.. also bought from mgs2u.com

The Room Improvement

Here my first pic of my room after moved to new place

and got a new LED TV which is a blast for me..

dont have whole room pic tho.. but this pic would do.. ^_^;;

but.. I'm missing something.. I need a dedicated gunpla workstation so that I can do it when ever I want or when my friend come to my house and play Skyrim or watch anime/movies :3

So, 2 days ago I did a little renovation/rearrangement for my room.. bought a flip (banquet?) table from Mydin for RM80 which is really nice.. the length is a bit long than my last time (150cm this time)... and I did with my friend, I was thinking something just put the table along with the pc table.. and put the boxes somewhere.. but he gave me his arrangement idea, move everything with different place and give the room something fresh.. so we did and its was a success.. ^_^..

I kinda like the new and improved room.. Finally got a dedicated Gunpla workstation, I dont have to do gunplas on PC workstation now lol.. airbrush booth station near the window.. boxes (figures box in packing box) are putted under the table, gunpla boxes are moved away from PC, put near the airbrush booth.. display cabinet put near where I sit (near PC) so that I can look up on them whenever I want lol. overall feel fresh and I think this setup make my room a bit bigger lol.. plenty of room to move around.. and stuffs..

Others that I might do, put some gundams poster all over the place lol, probably near Gunpla Workstation and PC workstation ^^...

Project Revival - HG 1/144 GN Blade Archer Custom WIP01

A bit overdue WIP post... >_<;;; ....

First Gundam Model Kit WIP for 2012 I guess... its a bit overdue haha... I just got continue a bit few weeks ago.. this post is a bit special coz its not a new kit or just opened the sealed gunpla that long bought and overdue (^_^;;)... its one of my earliest gunpla that I bought back in 2009.. decided to give it a revisit.. or rather a Revival... which is for ~~Facebook Gunplanatic Group's Visor Kit Group Build~~ [didnt make in time due to hobby supply has been depleted]..

Snapfited with Kotobukiya Weapon Option - Double Blade

So I choose to use my old snapfitted GN Archer and try to complete as fast as I can.. modified it a bit and rid the big stuff thinggy and decided to go with Blade theme.. thus the name GN Blade Archer..and this is the First Project Revival.. there will be more after GN Blade Archer ^^..

First I'll just post WIPs that I did started few weeks ago in one post.. I'll try to make few WIP post possible but with a bit more content that before.... so for starter.. pic spam lol

An early test fit after got rid the big back pack thinggy, and attached the blade on the back skirt which will be the new back pack

Pose test ^^;;

Modified the blade added connection to the back pack, first revision

Test fit again before 2nd revision for the blade parts

Cemented the arm parts and the chest part and leave overnight for the cement to cure.

Sanded the arm parts with comparison with unsanded

Also sanded some parts of the chest and added a bit of Kotobukiya MSG parts

adding rectangle vernier from Kotobukiya MSG parts to the shoulder

more Kotobukiya MSG parts was used for the front chest part ^^

added pla-plate strips to cover the seams since I didnt cement it instead, the trick is only cemented the pla-plate strip on the half of the part, so with assemble it the other part just slide under the pla-plate strips.

At first was thinking to cement the leg part but the knee joint is a bit problem, I cant find a away to cement without cutting the knee joint, or the leg parts and I dont want to cut whole leg parts since my etching saw all busted already lol... I used this solution instead... also added round small vernier too ^^

The back part of the feet kinda hollow, so I just add vernier on it ^^

Test fit again, the head fin will put something like that.. still gonna modified a bit before goes final... added round Koto's MSG parts on the blade near the other side of the joint to the back pack..

Back side view, will use putty to cover the blanks on those back pack side joint.. just found the putty which I bought a while back ^^

Thats all for the part 1, these pic is taken past few weeks that was suppose to publish last week, by the time this post published, I've pla-plated the front skirt, the backskirt, simple scratch build, adding details to the blade, backpack, side skirt(thigh skirt?), arms and feet.. More pics on pla-plating and modding.. some I havent take pics which that will cover for Part 2 post soon...

WIPs on Jesta are in painting phase... painted half of the kit and now masking and will go another half painting.. and AGE-1 progress, most of the nubs are sanded, cementing pending since out of cement.. both progress will post it soon...

Back (Sorta) with a Huge Loot~

First Post of 2012 lol.......

Its been a while since my last post.. havent updated my blog since 2 months ago lol.. lots thing happened last year.. load works and OT, Backlogs pending and much more.. hope this 2012 will be more gunplaing and good things ahead..

That being said.. altho its a lil late for first post of 2012.. I'll kick of with first huge loot for 2012...

Its a Samsung UA40D5000PR 40" Full HD LED TV (LCD with LED backlight). I've been eyeing for this beast for a few months back in 2011.. and decided to take this guy... did a quick research and see it in shop side by side with various brand and type.. I gotta say this beast is awesome.. its much better than LCD, better color reproduction, better black tone, some nice function and very nice viewing angle.. also its very thin/slim compared to LCD type.. 30mm thick.. which is pretty awesome ^^

After assemble I tested it with playing Gundam Unicorn OVA ep4 1080p, just first playing I gotta say the image and motion is pretty clear and jaw dropping awesome.. even played 720p videos still look pretty sharp.. theres couple picture mode that I can play with. (Standard, Natural, Movie and Dynamic), I like Natural (Gaming) and Movie (Video) mode.. Dynamic is too contrast (better for some game I think).. the speaker is also very nice.. its loud, surround and clear..

Other function that I like is the AllShare and Anynet+ feature.. AllShare is data sharing across devices via wireless and local area network for sharing photos, videos from other devices also can surf internet with it.. Anynet+ in short is a build-in multi-remote-player.. you can connect Blu-Ray player or an USB drive Media Players and can control using the LED TV Remote, it detects what devices you connected to the LED TV and you can control using LED TV remote instead.. pretty neat ^^

After a while re-arranged my desk for this guy.. testing again with gaming by playing Skyrim.. again the picture is perfect... Natural picture mode give the game look more nicer and better, much better than my 22" LCD monitor lol.. the game plays very well on the LED TV, with Clear Motion feature, the game doesnt feel screen lagged (tearing/vsync thinggy) at all. Full HD gaming goodness

I have to say it worth the invest for this beast.. gotta have very awesome Full HD/HD Anime and gaming experience quite alot from now lol.. but I'm still going to do gunplaing.. not going to neglect on these guys.. or I'm in very deep trouble (lol)..

As far as Backlogs goes.. recently got some progress.. Jesta is in painting phase.. painted halfway.. now a bit masking then can finish it.., AGE-01 in sanding/cementing phase.. gotta take some time on that since its not tied to any Group Build so far.. and I've started new project called Project Revival .. details will be on the next post ^^

HGUC Jesta WIP 03 - Priming

Started Painting Phase Part 1 - Priming.....

Now that sanding, cementing and minor mod for HGUC Jesta done.. come next is Painting part 1 - Priming Phase. so what is Priming, priming is a preparation for painting, priming is necessary to make better adhesion of painting to the surface. It also makes painting easier when painting on darker color of plastic, for example like Jesta, Jesta got darker color so when I want to paint lighter color for example Light blue, I need to prime it, neutralize the color so that I can add light blue with correct coloration.

So what item that we should use for priming? Theres bunch of brand that we can choose from but usually the mostly modeler use is from Mr. Hobby brand.. Mr Surfacer or the new one Mr Primer Sufacer... I use Mr Surfacer since bought it long time ago.. I bought grade 500 and 1200, 500 is more thick and coarse then 1200 which is more smooth..

For this project I use mixed 500 and 1200 since my 1200 is nearly depleted... I mixed it around 2:1 ratio respectively and thinner for each drop 1 surfacer : 3 thinner...

This is my airbrush station, my modified airbrush spray booth :D.. I bought basic spray booth (LINK) which is only RM80 then find some card board to make wider spray area and a 10w lamp for lighting ^^

And then start priming,

so far so good, didnt see any problem.. the mixing works fine.. its not very smooth but not coarse either which is good too me :D

After a few days priming, its all done! I used like 3 times of 15ml bottle to prime all the parts ^^ Its a lil bit more than I expected.. since that I did some heavy coat on darker parts ^^;;

All parts sorted according to color for next painting phase and masking on some parts :D

Done Priming phase, so next will be actual painting phase, I'm going to do part by part for each color maybe 2 color per post.. so expect a lil bit more WIP post lol..

I guess other WIP will have to wait till Jesta finish XD.. so AGE-1 and GN-XIII along with others have to wait huhu...

HGUC Jesta WIP 02 - Clean Ups

Sanding, cementing and minor modding~ .....

WIP 02 is here~ finally done with this and next WIP is on the way~ This WIP will cover Sanding, cementing and minor modding phase of HGUC Jesta for MVPfigure HGUC Jesta Group Build.. Its taking a lil bit time to finish these phase.. Theres bunch of nubs to sand it off and make smooth as possible until I satisfied.. cementing taking a bit more time to cure so that it hardens and easy to smooth out.. minor modding is just for easy to remove and put back parts for easier to paint ^^... so yeah.. lets get a bit details of some the works here~

First I did minor mod for the both elbow to arm joint, after inspecting how it goes each other... I cut the 2 peg hole on each side of the arm parts to make C socket, then trim a bit the peg on the elbow joint so that Inserting and removing didnt get hard and goes well

Then I cemented the arm parts along with the shoulder parts ^^

Also cemented the head part and leave those overnight to cure before start sanding it to smooth it out
also in pic the already sanded and smoothed head gear parts ^^

Sanded the rest of the parts, neck area, chest, leg parts, feet and shield parts etc...

Sanded and smoothed both arm parts and head parts after a day cemented :D

Before and after sanded the cemented parts of the shoulder, I try to keep it flat as I can when sanding. A hard wide stick wrapped with sand paper is useful for maintain the flat surface when sanding ^^

After all nubs that visible is sanded and smoothed, sorted the parts according to color for next phase, priming.. :D

There do you go after some time to finish sanding, cementing and minor mod phase.. Its been a while since I've sanded lol.. Next phase is Priming, then masking some parts that need to for painting..

AGE WIP 02 will come soon either after Jesta WIP 03 or before... haha.. I try to focus on one kit at a time ^^, much easier hehe..

HG Gundam AGE-1 Normal WIP 02 - Codename: Amethyst

Color scheme and Codename :D .....

I have been thinking bout color scheme for this guy yesterday and trying different color scheme and endup with purple.. since Jesta already took the Blue shades, I dont want to do another blue color scheme, so I went with purple.. I will be using darker shade of purple with a bit gunmetal in some place..

The Codename that I came up with comes from searches on google for the other name for purple, theres bunch of interesting name that I got, some of the name that I interested is Mauve, Amaronth, and Amethyst.

Mauve is a moderate grayish violet to moderate reddish purple, its is more grey and more blue than a pale tint of magenta would be

Amaranth is a type/name of a cosmopolitan genus herbs, I has reddish purple of color

lastly

Amethyst is a type of violet quartz that usually used in jewelry. the color is more vivid purple shade

I choosed Amethyst coz I think the name is cool and I like the color shades of it ^^.. I will use 2 different shades of purple along with some gunmetal in some parts.. the codename unit will be AGE-1A Amethyst

This is the finalize Color scheme that I will be use to finish kit kit..

Overall with be purple shades with gunmetal, with no other color (white parts) other than the green metallics for the chest and eyes.. the joint will be use either Silver or Grey, gotta see how it goes until I decided.. since gunmetal is already in use for some of the parts.. the DODS rifle will have 2 shades of color, Silver and Gunmetal ^^

HG Gundam AGE-1 Normal WIP 01 - Snapfit

My fastest snapfit build ever!.....

Another WIP done! this time its HG Gundam AGE-1 Normal. Snapfitted this guy yesterday and surprisingly fast I couldnt believe it lol... Well.. this kit is very easy.. not a bit complex like some HG... a very straight forward build.. and it has only 3 runners XD... done it around 3 hours which is shocking to me lolz

Body and Head parts - I really like the simplistic of the chest build, the color separation done very well and no need to use color sticker except for the A emblem on the chest. The head separation also quite good, the eye and the red part is separate, the grey area on top of the head also separated, which is very nice..

The arm part - I really like the elbow joint which is double jointed unlike Jesta, so you can do complete 180 bend, awesome! tho the hand only supplied with 3 type, both closed and one open hand ^^;;

The leg part - again the joint design is very nice for a HG kit, double jointed knee and the part seperation is pretty nice.. altho theres concern on the ankle guard, it has very weird joint design and it feel insecure and would come off any second ^^;;

Done snapfit for this guy.. I have to say its a pretty nice kit, has very good articulation, here some pose I took below~

Next for this guy is Sanding, cements, and more lol.. going to repaint like the Jesta.. still thinking on the color scheme..

HGUC Jesta WIP 01 - Snapfit

Warming up~......

Done snap fitting Jesta yesterday, its been a while since I've build new gunpla XD.. took about whole day total time to finish snap fitting, its quite nice build.. lots of seperate parts.. very nice... I like it
Pic a bit low since I used my phone camera to take the pic ^^;;

Upper body - I like the Head seperation parts.. makes easy to paint, The front vent also got parts seperation, more plus for this kit ^^ and the hand got so many options.. kudos for Bandai for this :D

The Leg parts - very nice part seperation.. the seperation is perfect for my color scheme..

Stay in there and wait till I'm done with the waist...
Jesta : *facepalms*

Finally done.. took me 2 different session to finish it.. 5 hours each ^^... Overall this kit is awesome.. It can do many pose like these below lol

First WIP is done! hopefully I can continue in this pace lol... next is perhaps the tedious part... Sanding the nubs and polishing.. along with cementing and minor joint mod for easier to paint...

After 3 Months from last Gunpla & Figures loot lol.....

Yeah... its been a while since my last loot lolz..... Should have arrived earlier but Pos Malaysia being lazy and make me pickup the loot instead they send it like usual... its even not that big box lolz..

This time I bought HGUC Jesta for MVPFigure (B-Mecha) Jesta Group Build as I posted in the last Blog entry ^^.. with extra purchase of HG Gundam AGE-1 Normal just to see how much new gunpla tech they included in the new series.. The new Gundam AGE anime is starting pretty good.. Ep1 and 2 is very nice and I pretty much like it..

I also buy this item, WAVE Option Parts for ZD a.k.a Ariff Rumy Azmi for his project..

EDIT - Bought wrong one, given the wrong link ^^;;

Will start the Jesta and AGE-1 simultaneously, double build lol but with its oud WIP entry.. Both I will do simple Painted Build.. no heavy mod, pla-plating, or scratch building, just simple mod and seamlines fix ^^

Oh and about the GN-XIII Custom WIP, my friend borrowed my camera last week and all the WIP Photo that I took is still in the memory card.. I forgot to copy it into my pc before handed to him lol ^^;;.. so I guess when he give back the camera then I can post it... before that I think Jesta & AGE-1 WIP will appear before that..will have to use my Xperia Mini Pro camera then ^^;;

HGUC Jesta - WIP 00 Planning and Ideas

Color Scheme and Unit Name ....

Hi guys.. Its been near a month since last post lol.. now I'm back with new project! (Backlogs : JIIIIIIII) >_<;;;

This is my second time for group build and this time its HGUC Jesta from Gundam Unicorn Series. B-Mecha is hosting HGUC Jesta Group Build which already started and some of the participant already starts building and already finish it *BD77* lol..

I'm waiting for my Jesta to arrive and while waiting I'm currently planning and sparking some ideas for this project ^^.

First, the build type... I want to do relax building on this guy, so I'm going to do Painted Normal Build... Painted OOB with cleaned nubs and seamlines. No pla-plates, modding, panel line scribing, just normal build, theres bunch of backlogs that I havent finish due pla-plates, modding and panel line scribing, which takes more time to finish.. sometimes I got a lil bit busy, making further more delays and by the time want to continue only did little progressing ^^;;.. so this time I choose Painted Normal Build... hope can finish faster ^^

Second is color scheme... For the past work that I've done.. I use Red (00 Gundam), Purple (Reborns), and Maroon (Sinanju) for my painted build.. and future color scheme for MG GN-X (Gunmetal/Red) and Gunmetal/Dark Grey/Light Grey for HG GN-XIII that already decided... so I'm going to go with Blue-ish color scheme.. added some gunmetal and silver here and there.. with Red lens and stufs..I have already done Color Scheme mockup and you can see it below~

Third and last is the Unit Name or Custom Name.. Since I choose blue-ish color scheme, I was thinking to name it after Blue name but in other context or language... so I did some research and gathering some info and some of the name that came up pretty interesting... theres top 3 that cought my eyes.. first Azrak in Arabic language which obviously means Blue... second is Azurite, a type of blue crystal/mineral.. and Azul for Blue in Spanish... So in the end I choose Azul because its kinda cool, easy to say and short :D... so this unit will be called AZUL JESTA :D.. the unit code will just add -A behind it.. so, RGM-96X-A ^^

Thats all for now I think next part will be WIP 01 when the kit arrives~~

To Aru Shumi no Tsukinari goes mobile~

More user friendly to view my blog ^^ ....

Recently I went to see and read my blog via Mobile and my Mini Pro loads it fine.. but for mobile view its just too much going on.. and takes a while to loads... further more the page got small since it shows all the stuffs on the page and had to zoom in to clearly read it..

So I did some research and read blogger dev blog and stumble upon new stuffs in all new improved blogger dashboard.. apparently Google add a nice feature on Template section that they add new mobile function.. Basically all the did is just took the post area and make it fit to mobile.. which is what I'm looking for XD.. Altho that you cant choose custom template.. but I didnt mind it coz I will view it on mobile anyway.. no need extra stuffs cramped on my mobile screen ^^... so I choose already made template that matches my current custom template for my blog.. which is dark color.. and I previewed it and it works really well ^^

Really glad that Google took time to add mobile function on blogger which makes more viewer can read blogs on the go!.. Kudos Google! XD

Ninja Get!

This is very unexpected loot for me lolz... Had seen some of reviews over the internet and droolling on the pics each time seeing pics on the net.. It took a while it to comes into my area... but today I just stumble upon it and without further due.. ninja get it!! XD...

Yeap.. this is my new smartphone!.. Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro!!

This new baby is Awesome! much more better than its big brother X10 Mini Pro.. powered by 1Ghz processor with bigger internal memory and much more higher resolution with bigger screen...
I just love it XD..

I forgot to take pic for comparison between this Xperia Mini Pro and old Xperia X10 Mini Pro. I sold the old one to my close friend to cover up the cost of this phone.. granted only payed half of the price XD..

I think I cant sleep tonight LOL...
