Benitez style 4-4-2 (6 variations)

These are 6 variations of a 4-4-2 using the Benitez 5 x 5 mentality (see the TT&F documents for more information). They are (in order of attacking purpose): ultra-defensive, defensive, standard, control, attacking and ultra-attacking.

Use as appropriate for each match situation. They are in a 'generic' form with passing set for an English League 2 standard team - so changing passing to more appropriate to your team's level and tailoring individual player instructions will see better results.

The game authentication servers are now live for Football Manager 2009 and the first Football Manager 2009 Patch (9.0.1) is available Now. This patch fixes a number of compatibility issues with the game and we would encourage people to download it and use with their copy of Football Manager 2009.

We highly advise people to authenticate through the STEAM platform, as with STEAM installed you will get automatic updates, the first of which is already uploaded and ready to go via STEAM.

Please note that whilst the update will allow many people with below minimum spec machines / graphics cards who had problems with the demo to get the game up and running, some below-spec graphics cards may require the DirectX 9.0 SDK is installed to run the game. We have been unable to test this on every graphics card on the market as, well, we don't have all of them, but this should fix the problem for the majority of those with below spec machines. If we find some that are still not up and running, we will look into these issues in the coming weeks.

Please also note that for those who want to get the demo up and running on their below minimum spec machines before purchasing, we are still planning on releasing a compatability patch for the demo, and this will follow in the coming days. We do not have a firm date for this as yet.
