Make your own Alcohol Ink for Less Money and Create Amazing Colors. Perfect for making Christmas ornaments,backgrounds for scrap-booking, tiles, and much more!!!
You will need:
Alcohol over 90% I used 91%
Different items you can use to color the inks: permanent markers, highlighters, food coloring, or Rit dye. (I used highlighters and permanent markers from the dollar store).
Cups
Funnel, syringe, or turkey baster to transfer finished ink to containers
Containers to hold the finished ink. (I bought these spray bottles from Walmart for .97 cents they can be reused as often as needed). You can also reuse any bottles you might already have.
Initial cost for each complete bottle of ink was approx. 1.40. Huge savings.
Mix and match colors to create many different add a drop of brown or black to get muted colors. The possibilities are endless!!!

How to make your own fabric flowers to create amazing barrettes, ponytail holders, shoe clips, or scrapbook pages the possibilities are endless!!! This yellow fabric flower is a perfect project for Easter. Instead of an Easter Bonnet why not an Easter flower for your hair.
You will need:
scissors
hot glue gun
glue sticks
fabric cut into 4 pieces I cut mine 2 1/2" X 3"
tulle cut into 4 peices the same size
contrasting fabric 5 or 6 pieces cut into squares or rectangles mine were 2" X 2 1/2"
5 or 6 pieces of tulle cut into smae sized peices
felt cut into 1" circle
embellishment for the center of the flower.

OK so lately I have been trying out new fried foods on my family, yesterday my husband came home and said what about mashed potatoes I thought he was hungry, I said yes, we have some left over in the fridge, he said no what about fried mashed potatoes OMG!!! What a thought so I did some digging around to see if anybody has even tried it and what do you know what? I found a couple of simple recipes. Of course, I had to up the game just a bit so here is my version of the fried mashed potato.

About 1 year ago my son bought a Big Easy BBQ, It is an infrared BBQ it doesn't take charcoal it is run by propane and we love it!!! This weekend we had a Superbowl and my son bought a 7 lb. Prime Rib Roast!!! YEAH!!! He always experiments with different dry rubs and this time he used a Cajun rub the results were amazing!Check it out

Pico de gallo is a good for you food.
1/2 onion
2 tomatoes
approx.1/4 cup of cilantro leaves chopped
3 jalapenos
1/2 of a lime
If desired add 1 clove of garlic minced
In a medium bowl, combine tomato, onion, jalapeno pepper, and cilantro. Season with salt. Stir until evenly distributed. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to marry.
Serve with nacho or pita chips. also goo as a condiment on many different foods.
Antioxidant-Rich a good for you food!

Fried Ravioli YUMM!!!

Fried food isn't something that I eat everyday but on special occasions it is the perfect appetizer.
I hope you love this recipe as much as I do.

Ingredients
1 lb package of fresh ravioli (meat and/or cheese)
2 large eggs, beaten
2 cups Italian breadcrumbs
1 Cup Parmesan Cheese
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
Vegetable oil, for frying
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Marinara sauce, for dipping
Directions:
In a medium size bowl mix the breadcrumbs and Parmesan Cheese set aside. In a shallow dish or pie plate whisk the eggs.
Dip the ravioli in the egg mixture, letting the excess drip off, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
Heat about vegetable or corn oil in a fryer or deep skillet until a deep-fry thermometer registers 350 degrees F. Fry the ravioli in 2 or 3 batches, turning as needed, until golden brown, 4 to 6 minutes per batch. Transfer to a paper towel-lined baking sheet to drain and immediately sprinkle with the Parmesan. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve with the marinara sauce.

Citrus Salad - Grapefruit, Orange and Mint Salad

Since I have been trying to lose weight I have been making some different salads that are high in vitamins and give me some extra fiber that I really need. I found this recipe approx 2 yrs. ago. I love it and I thought I would share.

This Citrus Salad is low in calories, a great source of fiber, vitamin C and a very healthy choice when you want something sweet.

Ingredients: 1 orange
1 grapefruit (I like to use pink/ruby)
6 or 7 leaves of mint
2 Tbs your favorite sweetener, (I use honey)
If you like ginger add a bit of grated ginger (not for me I'm not crazy about ginger)
(Recipe can be doubled or tripled)
Instructions: In a small bowl peel and section the fruit and cut it into bite-size pieces add mint and honey. Refrigerate and enjoy!!! It's good for up to 3 days in the fridge and tastes even better after the 1st day.
Recipe Type: Low calorie, vegan, clean, paleo, and gluten free.

Halloween is almost here. Less than two weeks now and I still haven't got my decorations up. Good morning everyone, I thought it would be a good idea to start thinking about Trick or Treat bags. What better way to mark your treat bags than with antique hang tags. I actually made vintage tags and scanned them into the computer. I then added a Cute Vintage image through Adobe. I then put a Halloween orange and black hue to them. Happy Fall Y'all, that's right I said it "Happy Fall Y'all". Although the trees haven't changed quite yet the cool crisp air is here. I really like the fall believe it or not. Free Digital Cupcake Wrappers & Lemonade Cupcake Recipe

Good morning everyone! Today is a sample of what the summer will bring. Free Digital Pink Lemonade Cupcake Holders. Why summer you may ask. Well, I had my granddaughters Birthday Party, she is turning 15 on the 29th of January but we had it early for convenience. It turned out great. She requested Lemonade Cupcakes. Now I know this is more of a summer time theme but that is what she wanted so that is what I did. Here are two recipes for you to try. Of course I was on a time crunch (as always) so I used the easy one. Scroll beyond the cupcake wrappers and check them out.

Since it is still the middle of winter I didn't use these but created them for a summertime party. Click on cupcake photo to bring up a larger jpeg file. Right click on photo and save it to your computer. Print on your own printer, one page makes enough for two cupcakes. Cut out and wrap around cupcake. Glue the two matching banners together with a toothpick in the middle.

Pink Lemonade Cupcakes

Made from Cake mix

1 box white cake mix

3/4 cup frozen pink lemonade concentrate

1/2 cup water

1/3 cup vegetable oil

4 egg whites

Pink food coloring

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line 24 muffins tins with liners

Combine all of the ingredients in an electric mixer and begin by mixing low for 30 seconds, then increase the speed to medium for another minute.

Divide the batter evenly, filling the liners about 2/3 full

Bake cupcakes for about 25 minutes, or until cake tester comes out clean

Allow cupcakes to cool before frosting

Yield: Makes 24 cupcakes

Pink Lemonade Cupcakes
Made from Scratch

Ingredients:

Cake:

2 1/4 cups cake flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/4 cups buttermilk

4 large egg whites

1 1/2 cups sugar

lemon zest from two lemons

1 stick (8 tablespoons) unsalted butter, at room temperature

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon pure lemon extract

Pink food coloring

Yield: Makes 24 cupcakes

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cupcake tins by using liners or spray with non-stick cooking spray.

In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and egg whites.

Put the sugar and lemon zest in the bowl of a stand mixer or another large bowl and rub them together with your fingers until the sugar is moist and fragrant. Add the butter and, working with the paddle or whisk attachment, or with a hand mixer, beat at medium speed for a full 3 minutes, until the butter and sugar are very light. Add the extracts and beat until combined. Add one third of the flour mixture, still beating on medium speed, then half of the milk-egg mixture. Repeat, ending by adding the final third of the flour mixture. Beat on medium for two minutes to ensure that the batter is thoroughly mixed and well aerated. divide the batter evenly among the cupcake tins. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until the cupcakes are are springy to the touch and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan, then continue cooling on wire rack.

Lemonade Buttercream Frosting

3 cups confectioners sugar

1 stick unsalted butter (room temperature)

2 tbsp frozen pink lemonade concentrate

Pink food coloring

Pinch of salt

Needless to say they were a big hit.

YEA!!! MORE Free Digital Scrapbooking Album Templates. Well, I was right, fall is in the air, it went from the mid 80's down to the upper 60's to lower 70's. It was so cold the other day we had a fire going in the house. As I was going through my photos to pick the right ones for the templates I noticed I didn't have many fall photos. I have a ton of Halloween and Thanksgiving photos but nothing that is just fall. This is all going to change this year, I am on a mission to take pictures of the trees changing color and of the mountain scenery of course with my kids in the foreground. I sure can feel it this week, YEP, Fall is in the air. Even though we just had 9 straight days of 80+ degree weather, I can still feel it, Fall will be here soon. Well this is the last weekend of the Summer for my babies. Next week it's back to school for my Grand-kids. Like I said before, it is bitter sweet, but I am so ready!!! My grand-kids in Virginia have already met their teachers and are very excited to get back to school. Abbie did a great job of cleaning up her room and clearing up the clutter, she is getting excited about the new school year also.
So all I can say is study hard and read read read!!! Good Luck everyone. You Know whats next Halloween! WOOHOO!!!

Hey everyone, today I wanted to share with you my new favorite recipe.

Strawberries with Cream Cheese Filling. I saw this recipe on the Paula Dean Show and fell in love with these little bites of heaven. I started experimenting with this recipe to make it a little bit better for my taste. I use 1/2 cups of confectioners sugar instead of 1/4. My suggestion would be to use the 1/4 cup and see what you think then add more to your taste. These are simple and easy. They are a bit time consuming but worth every minute. I think they would be great for a special after school snack for your back to school kids so that is why I am posting it now.
