לאחר חודשים רבים של התלבטויות, החלטתי לסגור את הבלוג.
סקיצה 116 שעלתה בשבוע שעבר היא הסקיצה האחרונה שלנו.

הבלוג שלנו נפתח בינואר 2010, ובמשך שנתיים וארבעה חודשים העלינו כמעט כל שבוע סקיצה ואתגר חדשים.
ניסינו לגוון, ניסינו לחדש או לפחות להמציא את הגלגל כל פעם בצורה קצת אחרת.

אני רוצה להודות לצוות המדהים שלי, בהווה ובעבר, על כל העזרה שנתתן לי, על יצירה חדשה מדי שבוע, על ניהול הבלוג בשבועות בהם אני לא יכולתי, על כתיבת הדרכות מצולמות מדי פעם למען קוראי הבלוג.
ביחד עם סקיצות ואתגרים עברתם איתי כמה משברים בחיי, ותודה על התמיכה שנתתן לי.

אני רוצה גם להודות לכל מי שאי פעם השתתף באתגר שלנו והעלה יצירה, או השתתף באחד מהאירועים שערכנו (תחרויות, מקפצות בלוגים, בלוג קנדי וכו').

אני מקווה שנהניתם ליצור איתנו מדי שבוע.
להתראות ברחבי האינטרנט.

After many many months of deliberating, I've decided to close this blog.

Sketch 116 from last week is our last sketch.

Our blog opened on January 200, and for 2 years and four months we have uploaded a new sketch and challenge almost each week.

We tried to diversify, we tried to renew, or at least reinvent the wheel a little differently every time.

I want to thank my amazing team, past and present, for all the help you gave me, for a new creation each week, for managing the blogwhen I couldn't, for preparing tutorials every now and then.

Along with sketches and challenges you have gone throught some life crises with me, and thank you for the support you gave me.

I also want to thank everyone who ever participated in our challenges and uploaded a creation, or participated in one of the many event we had (ompetitions, blog hops, blog candies, etc.)

I hope you enjoyed creating with us every week.

See you around the internet.

יום שלישי היה יום הזכרון ולא הרגיש לי נוח או במקום להעלות רשומה ביום הזכרון.
היום, לעומת זאת, יום העצמאות, וזה בדיוק הזמן לרשומה שמחה.
כדאי לקרא עד הסוף, כי יש לנו הפתעה קטנה...

This week the post is a little late.

Tuesday was our memorial day and it just didn't feel right for me to upload a post on memorial day.

Today, however, is our 64th Indpendence Day, which is a perfect time for a happy post.

החומרים והכלים הדרושים:

2 קארדסטוקים לבנים חלקים פשוטים (אני השתמשתי בכאלו עבים במיוחד שקיבלתי פעם בתוך השמרדפים של אלבום שקניתי ב"ביג דיל")
צבע אקרילי לבחירתכן (במקרה שלי navy blue של – לא הצבעים האקריליים הכי מומלצים...)
דיו לבן או צבע אקרילי לבן
סרט בד לבן
חותמת רקע נקודות
מכחול עבה
ספוגית איפור
פאנצ' מעגל פינות
בלוק אקרילי
עט ג'ל לבן
כלים בסיסיים: סרגל, סכין יפני, מספריים, דבק ג'ל/נוזלי
וכמובן- תמונה בגוונים מתאימים לצבע האקרילי (עדיף לבחור את הצבע לפי התמונה ולא ההפך...)

Tools & Materials needed:

2 simple white cardstock (I ued the ones I got from an album I once bought at “Big Deal”)

Your choice of Acrylic paint (in my case – navy blue)

White ink or white acrylic paint

White ribbon

Dot stamp

A thick brush

Makeup sponge

Corner rounder punch

An acrylic block

A white gel pen

Basic tools: ruler, knife, scissors, glue

And of course – your choice of a photo (it is preferable to choose your acrylic paint to match the photo)

ניקח את אחד הקארדסטוקים הלבנים. באמצעות המכחול נצבע 2/3 ממנו בצבע האקרילי- להשתמש במעט צבע! ונמתין לייבוש:
אם הדף מקבל קצת גלים או בטן, נניח מתחת למשהו כבד לכמה שעות...

We take one of the cardstock, and using the brush we paint 2/3 of it with the acrylic paint. Remember to use as little paint as possible, and let it dry fully.

If the paper get a bit wavey, put something heavy on top of it for a few hours…

באמצעות כרית הדיו הלבן נעבור בתנועות מעגליות וחלשות על החלק הצבוע, לקבלת מראה מחוספס יותר. אם משתמשים בצבע לבן- אותה פעולה עם מכחול יבש טבול במעט מאוד צבע:

We’ll touch the white ink pad in circular motion to the painted pafe, to get a rougher look. If you use an acrylic paint – use a drybrush with very little paint on it.

נחתוך רצועת קארדסטוק צבוע שיהיה רחב יותר מהתמונה שלנו ב-2-3 ס"מ. עכשיו נשתמש בשארית הקארדסטוק הלבן להכנת מאטינג לתמונה- נדביק את התמונה לקארדסטוק ונחתוך לה מסגרת דקה דקה.

Cut a painted strip of paper to be about 2-3 cm wider than our photo. Use the rest of the white cardstock to create matting for our photo – glue the photo to the cardstock a cut a very slim frame around it.

אם חסכתן בנייר נשארה עוד שארית- ממנה נכין את הבורדר- נשפוך מעט צבע אקרילי על ניילון/נייר, ניקח קצת צבע באמצעות ספוגית האיפור ונמרח על החותמת בתנועות טפיחה עדינות- נחתים לאורך הדף. נחזור על הפעולה כמה פעמים, עד שיווצר פס מוחתם ארוך על הדף. נחתוך אותו.

If you used your cardstock sparsely than you still have some of it left. Use it to make the border. Pour a little acrylic paint on a paper or piece of nylon. Use your sponge and tap some paint gently on the stamp and stamp along the paper. Do this until all your paper is stamped, and than cut the strip.

נפרק לפאנצ' מעגל הפינות את השוליים (כמו בתמונה) וניצור בעזרתו שוליים בצורת "סקאלופ"- פשוט מתחילים מהקצה-מחוררים ואז מצמידים בכל פעם לקצה החירור הקודם.

Take out the edges of the punch (like in the photo) and use it to create a scalloped edge – simply start at one end, punch and than continue from there.

נעבור על השוליים שנוצרו בעדינות עם כרית האיפור שספוגה במעט צבע.

Color the edges gently with pain using the sponge and very little paint.

נחזור על אותה פעולה גם עם השוליים של הקארדסטוק השני, בו עדיין לא נגענו.

Create the same colored edge to the other white cardstock, the one we haven’t used so far.

נסדר את השכבות לפי הסדר - לא להדביק עדיין, רק להניח:
קארדסטוק לבן שלם, בצד אחד בורדר, מעליו המלבן הצבוע ומעליו, בחלק התחתון- התמונה עם המאטינג. אחרי שמרוצים מסידור השכבות על הדף מוסיפים סרטים- חותכים שתי רצועות ארוכות קצת יותר מהמלבן הצבוע, ומדביקים את הקצוות העודפים מאחורה.כאן רואים שהתלבטתי אם להוסיף עוד אלמנט, אבל החלטתי לוותר עליו. כשמרוצים מהעיצוב מדביקים את כל השכבות.

Layer your items – don’t glue them yet.

First the white cardstock. In the middle put the colored paper. To the left of it and below it the border we made, and on the colored paper, towards the bottom put the matted photo. When you’re happy with the layering add ribbons – cut two strings of ribbon a little longer than our painted paper and glue them to the back of the painted paper. In the photo you can see that I was thinking about adding another element, but I changed my mind.

When you're happy with the design, glue all the layers together.

מכינים כותרת- מהשאריות של שאריות הדף הצבוע חותכים פס צבוע ברוחב 1 ס"מ. באמצעות מספריים גוזרים את הרצועה לריבועים-ריבועים, בגודל 1*1 ס"מ. בעט ג'ל לבן כותבים על כל ריבוע אות מתוך הכותרת- ומדביקים במקום הרצוי בדף.

Making the sentiment – using the left over of the painted paper cut a strip 1 cm wide. Using your scissors cut little rectangles 1 cm by 1 cm – as many as you need for your sentiment. Use the white gel pen to write a letter on each rectangle and create your sentiment. Glue those to your page.

אלו הכלים שהשתמשתי בהם:

2 ניירות מדוגמים (אחד היה שארית מפרוייקט אחר)
קארדסטוק לבן (אני השתמשתי בשאריות שנותרו מפרוייקטים קודמים)
עפרון וסרגל
גליוטינה (או סכין חיתוך)
חותמת, דיו ובלוק אקרילי
Silent Setter או מכשיר אחר לקיבוע ניטים
פאנץ' מעגל פינות (לא בתמונה)

These are the tools I used:

2 patterned papers (one was a left over piece)

White cardstock (I used left overs from other projects)

A pencil and a ruler

A guillotine or a cutting knife

a stamp, ink and an acrylic block

Sillent setter or another eyelet tool

A corner rounder punch (not in this photo)

חתכתי את נייר הרקע לגודל הרצוי - במקרה שלי 14 על 11 ס"מ

I cut the background paper to the desired size - in my case 14 by 11 cm.

החתמתי את החותמת על קארדסטוק לבן.

I stamp my image on a white cardstock

חתכתי סביב ההחתמה, עיגלתי את הפינות וצבעתי את המסגרת בדיו.
רואים את הפס השחור הקטן מעל אחת הציפורים? זו כמובן טעות, אבל היא תתוקן בהמשך.

I cut around the stamped image, rounded the corners, and inked the edges.

Do you see the little black line above one of the birds? It's obviously a mistake, but it will be fixed later on.

הנחתי את האלמנט המוחתם על צידו האחורי של הנייר המדוגם השני, וסימנתי קוים קטנים לחיתוך ריבוע גדול קצת יותר, כדי ליצור לי matting לאלמנט המוחתם.

I placed the stamped element on the back side of the second patterned paper, and marked lines for a little larger rectangle, to create a matting for the stamped element.

חתכתי את הריבוע מהנייר המדוגם השני - רואים איך הגודל מתאים?

I cut the rectangle of the 2nd patterned paper. See how it fits?

עיגלתי פיות וצבעתי את שולי הנייר הורוד

I rounded the corners and inked the edges of the pink paper

על שארית קארדסטוק אחרת החתמתי את הטקסט שלי.
רציתי לצייר עיגול ולא היתה לי תבנית. השתמשתי בקופסית הקטנה שיש בתוך האריזה של ה-Sillent Setter כדי לצייר עיגול סביב ההחתמה.

I stamped my text on another piece of white cardstock.

I wanted to draw a circle around it but didn't have the right pattern. I used the little eyelet box that comes inside the Sillent Setter to draw the circle around my stamped text.

גזרתי בזהירות את העיגול, והחתמתי את שוליו.

I carefully cut the circle and inked its edges.

הנחתי את הטקסט על האלמנט שלי - רואים איך עיגול הטקסט מסתיר את הטעות שהיתה לי בהחתמה?

I placed my text on top of the center element. See how it hides my little mistake?

שימו לב שהאלמנטים שלי רק מונחים על הדף - שום דבר עדיין לא מודבק.
אבל כך אני יכולה לתכנן איפה לחורר את הדף עבור הניטים, ואני מסמנת שתי נקודות קטנות.

Note that all my elements are only laid onto the green paper - nothing is glued yet.

This way I can plan where to place my eyelets, and I mark the spots with two little pencil dots.

And here are the eyelets

I push one end of the string through one of the eyelets and glue it to place with a little scotch tape. This way it will stay put, and I can create the exact tension I want for the string.

I wind the string through the eyelets until I get the desired look, and glue the other end of it on the back side of the paper as well.

Now you can glue all the other elements onto your front.

I added a doodled frame.

All that's left is to glue the front onto a card base, write your message and present it to whom ever you want.

ההדרכה החודשית - The Monthly Tutorial

החודש כתבה את ההדרכה אמנדה.

This month Amanda prepared the tutorial for us:

ההדרכה היום: יצירת מרקם של נייר אריזה ישן על נייר רגיל

Today's tutorial: Creating wrapping texture on plain paper

עבור הכרטיס הזה התחלנו בנייר קראפט רגיל.

לצורך הכרטיס גזרתי עיגול.

אז מקמטים את הנייר עד שנוצרים הרבה קמטים וקיפולים.

For this card, we started with plain kraft paper.

For this card I cut a circle.

Then, we crumpled it up many times to add lots of creases and ridges.

צובעים בדיו את ה"רכסים" של הקמטים

Ink the ridges

אז מרססים במים או בגלימר מיסט את הנייר ותנו לו לנוח. הנייר יתיישר והדיו ייזל מעט לצדדים.

Then mist with water or your favorite mist and the paper will relax back to flat and the ink will bleed and feather slightly.

הסקיצה החדשה שלנו, סקיצה 108, עוצבה על ידי חן, הזוכה הרביעית והאחרונה בתחרות הסקיצות שלנו.

Our new sketch, No 108, was designed by Chen, the fourth and final winner in our Sketch Competition.

She also chose the challenge.

האתגר הנילווה הוא: לפחות חמישה צבעים שונים.

The challenge for this sketch is: at least five different colors.

חן היא גם מעצבת אורחת שלנו בבלוג השבוע. ביקשנו ממנה לכתוב קצת על עצמה, להציג את עצמה, וזה מה שהיא כתבה:

Chen is also a GDT in our blog this week. We asked her to write something to introduce herself, and this is what she wrote:

שלום לכולן ונעים להכיר, אני חן - עובדת סוציאלית בימים ויוצרת בלילות.

אל תחום הסקראפ הגעתי לפני כחמש שנים ומאז אני מאוהבת. עם הזמן התנסיתי בכמה טכניקות ומצאתי את עצמי יוצרת, בעיקר, כרטיסי ברכה. היתה תקופה (אמנם קצרה מאוד, לצערי) שאפילו הייתי בצוות המעצבות של "שלוש בשלישי".
מזה כשנה אני יוצרת תחת השם "חנדלאך" ואת הכרטיסים שלי תוכלו למצוא באתר HomePro.
שמחתי מאוד על ההזדמנות הנהדרת והזכות שנפלה בחלקי להיות חלק מצוות המעצבות המתארחות כאן החודש ואני אנצל אותה כדי להודות לצוות המעצבות הנפלא ובראשן דיילי, שעובדות קשה כדי להביא לנו אתגר חדש בכל שבוע - בנות, תודה רבה!!
ולעניינו - האתגר הנלווה לסקיצה של השבוע הוא שימוש בחמישה צבעים שונים לפחות - משימה לא כ"כ קשה, יש לציין. אני אוהבת לעבוד עם סקיצות, זה עוזר לי להתחיל את הכרטיס, במיוחד כשאין לי מוזה. הסקיצה הזו די פשוטה וקל לעבוד איתה ומהרגע שהתחלתי - לא יכולתי להפסיק ונוצרו 4 כרטיסים, שניים מהם מובאים בפניכן.

Hello everybody. It’s nice to meet you. I’m Chen – a social worker by day and crafter by night.

I found scrapbooking about 5 years ago, and am hooked ever since. Over time I’ve experienced several different techniques and found myself creating mostly greeting cards. There was a time (regretfully, a very short one) where I was a team member for Tuesday Trio.

For about a year I’m creating under the brand-name “Chendalach” and you can find my card at the HomePro website.

I loved this wonderful opportunity and privilege to be a part of the GDTs here this month and I want to use that opportunity to thank the design team, lead by Dailly, who are working so hard to bring us a new challenge each week – Thanks you very much, girls!!

To the point – the challenge for this sketch is using at least 5 different colors – not a very difficult task, I might add. I love working with sketches. It helps me start a card, especially when the muse escapes me.

This is a fairly simple sketch and one that’s easy to work with, and once I started – I couldn’t stop, so I ended up producing 4 cards, two are presented here.

מכירים את הבדיחה הישנה של איך להצחיק את אלוהים?
לספור לו על התוכניות שלכם...
זה בדיוק מה שקרה לי היום.
תיכננתי את היום שלי בראש לפרטי פרטים. ידעתי בדיוק מה אני הולכת לעשות אחרי מה מבחינת סדר חשיבות ודחיפות בעבודה.
אמה מה?
בדרך למשרד חטפתי מיגרנה. אחת קשה. כזו שצריך להיכנס בשבילה לחדר חשוך, לקחת כדור וללכת לישון.
וזה מה שעשיתי.
לא עבדתי, לא כתבתי את הרשומה כדי להעלות אותה בזמן... רק ישנתי.
וזה גם מה שאני חוזרת לעשות מיד אחרי שאעלה את הרשומה הזו. חוזרת למיטה החשוכה לי לישון, בתקווה שמחר בבוקר אני אקום נטולת כאב.

And that's exactly what happened to me today.

I had my day planed to the tiniest details. I knew exactly the order I'm going to do things in terms of importance and urgency.

The thing is...

On my way to the office I got this HUGE migrane. A really bad one. The kind of migrane that all you need is a dark room, a pill and some sleep.

So that's what I did.

I didn't work, I didn't write this post on time... I just slept.

And that's exactly what I'll do again, as soon as i'm done with this post. Go back to my dark bad, and go back to sleep, hoping that tomorrow morning I'll wakr up pain-free.

מיטל טנא הידועה בעולם הוירטואלי גם כמומין נכנסה לתחום העיצוב בנייר שנת 2008 לאחר לידת בנה.
מיטל מעצבת בעיקר אלבומים ואפילו מצלמת את תהליך העיצוב ומעלה לערוץ שלה ביוטיוב.

Meital Tene, known in the virtual world also as Mumin, was introduced to the paper design field in 2008, after her son’s birth.

She writes her blog, “Coming from love”, for about 4 years now.

Hello, My name is Li-Or.

I discovered Scrap online about two years ago, and for the past year and a half I’ve been writing a blog called Sukariot (Candy).

The connection to this world was natural and expected due to my love of art, creation and beautiful things that make you feel good.

I mostly create cards, mini albums and I also do digital scrapbooking.

I have been active in different forums under the name “L Squared”, and I hope to return to it soon.

ההדרכה החודשית - The monthly Tutorial

החודש ההדרכה שלנו נדחתה בשבוע עקב אילוצים טכניים, ואני מודה לשיר שכתבה אותה.

This month the tutorial has been delayed by a week, and I'd like to thank Shir for writing it.

בחרתי להשתמש בסקיצה כהשראה לדף מעוצב, ולא לכרטיס. הדפים של Bella Blvd (חוץ מהקארדסטוק הלבן, של DCWV)

I chose to use the sketch as an inspiration for a LO rather than a card. The papers are all Bella Blvd (except for the white cardstock by DCWV).

1. התחלתי עם החומרים הבאים:
דף בגודל 12X12 אינץ',
רצועה ורודה, ברוחב כמעט 2 אינץ', חתוכה באלכסון לא סימטרי
רצועת קארסטוק לבן ברוחב 2 וחצי אינץ' בערך, קרועה באלכסון.
2 מלבנים לבנים
2 מלבנים ורודים.

יישנתי בדיו חום את האלכסונים של הרצועות.
מלבן אחד מכל צבע ישמש למאטינג (בהתאם לסקיצה) - מיושן בקצוות, והאחר ישמש לקישוטים.

I started with these materials:

* A 12x12 paper

* A pink strip almost 2” wide, cut diagonally and not symmetrically

* A white cardstock strip about 2.5” wide, torn diagonally

* 2 white rectangles

* 2 pink rectangles

I distressed with ink the edges of the strips.

One rectangle of each color will be used as matting (according to the sketch) – with distressed edges, and the other for decorations.

2. יצרתי בסיס לדף - רצועה ורודה על לבנה למעלה ולמטה והדבקתי את התמונה על גבי המאטינג הכפול.

I created a base for the page – pink strip on top on the white strip at the top and bottom of the page, and I glued the photo on the double matting.

3. נכין דגלוני קישוט: רצועת נייר (משארית הנייר לקישוט שהשארנו בצד), דיו ליישון השוליים, סיכה עם ראש עגול, נקודת דבק (glue dot) ומספריים.

To make decorative flags we use strips of paper (using the scraps of paper we had left earlier), ink to distress the edges, a round head pin, a glue dot and scissors.

4. ניישן את קצוות הרצועה

We distress the strip edges.

5. נחתוך משולשים בקצה, עפ"י האורך הרצוי

We cut little triangles on the edges, based on the length we want for the flag

6. נפתח את הרצועה ונשים את נקודת הדבק כמעט במרכז

We open the strip, and put the glue dot almost in the center

7. נניח את הסיכה במרכז

We place a pin in the center, on top the glue dot

8. נקפל את הדגלון

Fold the little flag

9. הוספתי קישוטים: החתמתי שורות (חותמת של studio calico), הוספתי מדבקה, וכיתוב. תפרתי בתפרים שונים על גבי הדף להוספת עניין וטקסטורה.

I added decorations: stamped rows (a stamp by studio calico), I added a stamp and some text. I’ve sewn different stitches on the page to add interest and texture.

השבוע הצוות התלבט והתחבט בין כל הסקיצות שנשלחו לתחרות. כל אחת בחרה את ארבעה סקיצות שהיא אהבה במיוחד, ובשקלול כל התוצאות נבחרו 4 סקיצות מנצחות.

This week the team struggled over choosing 4 sketches among all the sketches that were sent in to te sketch competition. Each of us chose her most favorite 4 sketches, and after weighting all the results, 4 winning sketches were chosen.

The sketches creators received an email, their sketches will be our sketches for February, and they will be Guest Design Team Members in our blog.

I'd like to thank again everyone who participated in the competition and sent us their sketch. It wasn't easy to choose cause there are really quite a few beautiful sketches.

את ההדרכה החודשית הכינה לנו החודש זהבית.

This monthly tutorial was prepared by Zehavit.

לקחתי כמה שאריות נייר שהיו לי מעבודות קודמות ובחרתי לי גם פאנצ' לעבוד איתו

I took some scraps I had left from previous creations and chose a border punch to work with

בחרתי 2 ניירות מתאימים, פנצצתי את השוליים של שניהם וחתכתי אותם כדי שיתאימו בגודל.
לכלכתי את הדף הלבן שיראה קצת מיושן

I selected two matching papers, punched them, and fitted their sizes.

I distressed the white paper a little bit, to age it.

בחרתי חותמת והחתמתי על חתיכת נייר

I chose my stamp, and stamped it or a piece of paper

משאריות הנייר גם הכנתי פרח: חתכתי עיגולים, קימטתי אותם וקצת ליכלכתי אותם בדיו

Using other scraps I also made a flower: I cut circles, wrinkled them and aged them with ink

ערמתי אותם זה על זה וחיברתי עם סיכה מתפצלת.

I stacked them together and joined with a brad.

לקחתי חתיכות נייר מהשאריות ועשיתי להן מאטינג וגם ליכלכתי מעט עם הדיו

אני ממקמת את חלקי הכרטיס בלי דבק, לראות איך היצירה מתקבלת בינתיים.

I took other scraps, cut rectangles, added matting and inked their edges.

I placed all my pieces together, no glue yet, to see how my creation is coming along.

מוסיפים גם את ההחתמה

Adding the stamped image

ממקמת את הפרח ורק כאשר אני מרוצה אני מדביקה את הכל

Placing the flower, and only them, when I’m happy with it, now I glue it all down.

חגגנו את חנוכה, חגגנו את חג המולד, ובעוד כמה ימים נחגוג את תחילת השנה החדשה, ואיתה תתחיל השנה השלישית של "שלוש בשלישי".

תחרות הסקיצות שלנו מגיעה לסיומה, ואני חייבת לומר לכם, התחרות תהיה קשה!

We've celebrated Hannukah, we've celebrated Christmas, and in just a few days we'll celebrate the beginning of the new year, and with it we'll start our third year at "Tuesday Trio".

Our sketch competition is coming to an end, and I have to tell you, it's a tough competition!

סקיצה ואתגר מס' 98 Sketch & Challenge No

אתמול (יום שלישי) הדלקנו נר ראשון של חנוכה.
בביה"ס של אחייניות שלי היה מצעד לפידים מרשים ומרגש, והילדות היו מאושרות ושמחות. וגם אני התרגשתי לראות אותן מתלהבות מללכת עם לפיד ביד (של אמא).
אח"כ היתה הדלקת נרות בביה"ס כשהמקהלה שרה ברקע שירי חנוכה, ולבסוף... לא היו סופגניות.
פשוט כי היתה תקלה והן לא הגיעו...

ואתם? הדלקתם נר? אכלתם סופגניה?

Yesterday (Tuesday) we lit the first candle of Hanukah.

At my nieces school they had a torchlight parade, which was very impressive and exciting, and the girls were ecstatic. I was excited seeing them being so happy walking with a torch in their (mom's) hand.

Afterwards they had a ceremony of lighting the candels, where the school chorus sang the holiday songs, and at the end og the event... we didn't have donuts.

Simply cause there mas a mishap and the donuts never arrived...

האתגר הנילווה לסקיצה הוא: מונוכרום. כלומר יש להשתמש בצבע אחד (על כל גווניו) + לבן + שחור.

The challenge for this sketch is Monochrom. Meaning you have to use ONE color (on all its shades) + white + black.

את ההדרכה החודש הכינה לנו אורלי.

The tutorial this month was prepared by Orli.

האתגר צבע יחיד הוא מאתגר במיוחד אם כי המשחק בגוונים של אותו צבע יכול לעשות פלאים לכרטיס ולהפוך אותו למענין.

אני בחרתי להשתמש בשחור.

The challenge of monochrome is especially challenging. However, playing with different shades of the same color can do wonders for a card and make it interesting.

הכרטיסים שלי הם 15/15 ס"מ ולכן דף הרקע הוא 14/14 ס"מ.

My card are 15/15 cm, and the background paper is 14/14 cm.

הפס המנוקד (סליחה על התמונה המטושטשת) הוא ברוחב של 6/14 ס"מ וממנו בחיתוך חופשי יצרתי את הגל.

The dotted paper (sorry for the fuzzy photo) is 6/14 cm and I cut the wave freely by hand.

את העיגול שגם אותו אני גוזרת ביד חופשית החתמתי בחותמת שנצבעה בגוונים של שחור ואפור.

On the circle, which was also cut freely by hand I stamped my stamp, and painted it in shades of black and grey.

החותמת הודבקה על דויילי כדי ליצור מראה של קצוות הדויילי מסביב.

The circle was mounted on a doily to give the effect of the edges of the doily around the circle.

כל מה שנשאר זה לקשט בהתאם.

All that’s left is to decorate accordingly.

בארה"ב חגגו את חג ההודיה, וסוף שבוע האחרון היה "יום שישי השחור", שהוא יום לאחר חג ההודיה, ומסמן את תחילת עונת הקניות לחג המולד, יום קניות שיש בו ה-מ-ו-ן הנחות.

ניצלתם את ההזדמנות לקנות כמה דברים?
היו המון מבצעים שניתן היה להביא גם לארץ. בחלק מהאתרים עדיין יש מבצעים, רק חשוב לבדוק טוב טוב את עלות המשלוח!

אני ניצלתי את ההזדמנות לרכוש כמה בדים שרציתי כבר הרבה הרבה זמן, וסוף סוף מצאתי אותם במחיר שפוי יחסית לכמות שרציתי.

אבל אל תדאגו, גם אם לא הספקתם לנצל את המבצעים של סוף השבוע האחרון, עוד יהיו לא מעט מאלו במהלך החודש הקרוב.

In the USA they celebrate Thanksgiving now, and last weekend was "Black Friday", a day of sales.

So, have you taken the chance to catch up on some buying?

There were a lot of sales that could have been shiped here as well. Some sites still have sales, just make sure you check the delivery costs!

I used the oppotrunity to get some fabrics I wanted for a long time, and finally I found them in a sane price, relative to the quantity I wanted.

But don't worry, even if you missed on these sales, there'll be plenty more during the next month.

Our blog is based on sketches and challenges. Over time we found out that it's not so easy inventing new sketches.

Also, we have heard from you on occation that the sketches are too easy / too hard / not interesting enough / too complicated.

It has to be interesting, not too complicated and most important - your own original work!!

You can send up to 5 different sketches, last date to send sketches is Dec 31st 2011.

You are encourages to add a challenege to the sketch, but you don't have to.

During January 2012 our team will debate and choose the best 4 sketches.

They will be the sketches featured in our blog all through February, and each week the sketch creator will be GDT in our blog.

האתגר הנילווה הוא: מיחזור ושינוי יעוד. משהו ביצירה שלכם צריך להיות ממוחזר. הכוונה לא להשתמש רק בשאריות נייר, אלא ממש לקחת חומר ולהשתמש בו בצורה שונה ממה שבדרך כלל משתמשים בו. לשנות לו את הייעוד.

The challenge is: recycle and repurpose. Use something in a different way than you normally would.
