Flash Games Moved to games.yousaytoo.com.

As you know there are some changes being made on YouSayToo right now. Today, we’d like to inform you that flash games moved to a new sub domain games.yousaytoo.com. No worries, it’s only a URL change and all your flash games are still there.

Now, to upload and view your flash games you will need to visit games.yousaytoo.com and follow the usual steps there. URLs of flash games that were uploaded previously will now be redirected to the new sub domain.

We’ve also changed the games page design a bit. Check it out and tell us what you think!

YouSayToo Recent Developments and Future Plans

2011 has been a good year for YouSayToo. We have done and achieved much but more importantly there’s still so much we can do to make YouSayToo better. We’d like to tell you about our recent developments and future plans.

The big news is that we are focusing our efforts on boosting your blog and content readership. We believe that having a wider audience and being read is the key value we need to focus on right now. This will be our #1 priority and we already have some exciting features in the works.

To fully focus on making the necessary changes to boost readership we will be taking a step back from revenue sharing. We have terminated our relationship with Google AdSense and removed all AdSense ads from YouSayToo. Some ads may be displayed on YouSayToo to partly cover our operational expenses. Infolinks remains an option for earning revenue but it’s possible that it too may be closed.

Our plan is to fully commit to boosting readership after which we will focus on content monetization.

We are always open to your feedback and ideas, so feel free contact us with any questions.

Follow this simple recipe to make quality posts.

Ingredients:

1x Blog (don’t have one, no worries start one on YouSayToo);
Topic of interest to the taste;
A pinch of inspiration;
A dash of creativity;

Directions

1Step One:

Start your post by picking some fresh, trending topics to your taste. Politics, photos, crafting or technology are just a few examples you can pick from. Mix them together and pour into the post form.

2Step Two:

Fill your post with easy-to-read text. Remember it needs to go down easy as you are cooking for people not search engines.

3Step Three:

Spice up your post with visual materials. Images and videos make the post tastier and more engaging.

4Step Four:

Add a catchy title to your post. Make it brief and descriptive. Remember to use keywords.

5Step Five:

Describe your post with tasty tags. Try not to use tags that are longer than 2 words. Be concise.

6Step Six:

Share your freshly cooked post with your friends while it’s still hot. Use social networks like Facebook, Twitter or Google+, email it to friends and add it to Digg, Reddit and other social bookmarks.

Hope you guys are in the holiday spirit.

We (all the people at YouSayToo) wish everyone joyful and happy holidays! And if we’re lucky – lots of snow :)

Thanks for being with YouSayToo for one more year (hopefully we have many more years to come) and making our efforts all worthwhile.

This year had its ups and downs but overall it has been very productive. We’ve made many important and positive improvements such as updating the design, speeding up loading time and adding Infolinks as a revenue generation opportunity.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone next year.

Importing Software Updated

Good news everyone. We have updated YouSayToo’s importing software! Yay!

You may have noticed that during the last month our system was not doing a very good job importing your posts. The number of added blogs was slowly draining the ability of the old software to work properly and quickly.

We have made significant improvements to our importing software and it’s running like clockwork now. Efficiency is up and we are really happy with the results that we are seeing.

There still are a few kinks to work out so if you notice that your posts are not being imported to YouSayToo, please let us know via contact form. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.

YouSayToo's Auto-publishing Plugin for Wordpress Blogs

Hi everyone, we’ve got some exciting news!

We’ve developed a plugin for Wordpress standalone blogs which substitutes the backlink and doesn’t require a Full blog feed. Initially, when adding the blog you’ll still need to set your blog feed to Full however, afterwards you can change it back if you want.

The plugin will import your new blog posts into your YouSayToo account within several minutes after you publish them.

Now, when adding a Wordpress standalone blog you’ll be able to choose whether to use the plugin or the standard backlink.

You can also get the plugin at Wordpress.org – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/yousaytoo-auto-publishing-plugin, installation instructions are included.

YouSayToo and The Robin Hood Foundation are hosting an event in New York City on Thursday November 17, 2011 from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM EST. We invite everyone to come or tune in to the live broadcast!

The topic of the event is:

About the "Friends" Option and Messages

We’ve been very busy making all sorts of improvements to YouSayToo. We’ve made a new design, launched new features while closing old, redundant ones. All to better the YouSayToo experience.

In our pursuit of making YouSayToo better we’ve been reevaluating some of the features. Upon taking a really close look at the “Friends” option we saw that this feature is not very popular among the members and it doesn’t make much sense anymore. So, we’ve decided to close the “Friends” option and focus on other features that will bring members together using their interests and preferences.

Instead sending everyone “Friend requests”, it’s a good idea to subscribe to the blogs you like reading. That way you’ll always receive their new updates as soon as they are published. Visit the blogs you like and click Subscribe.

Messages among YouSayToo members are also a feature which is not used very often. So, we’ll be closing messages as well. You will still be able to use the Contact form to contact us with your questions and ideas.

We’re always open to your suggestions. Feel free to contact us with any questions or ideas.
