Disable Text Selection in Buttons

Nice technique I hadn’t really thought about with button text:

Being able to select text on the button link will sometimes results in a text highlight if the user clicks on the button a couple of times. This doesn’t look good. Since the user won’t need to copy and paste the label, we can disable text selection like this:

.button-link { -webkit-user-select:none; -moz-user-select:none; -ms-user-select:none; user-select:none; }

The Google Nexus 7 tablet and the Galaxy Nexus phone looks pretty sweet. I love the leather-like “Steve McQueen gloves”-esque backing. I’ve held the Galaxy Nexus and the from factor and feel was terrific.

Earlier this month at the E3 game show, Microsoft announced “second screen” software called SmartGlass, which will allow users to beam video from a tablet to a television and turn the tablet into a controller showing data on the game or film being screened.”

This is such a good idea. Essentially, it lets you pretty easily generate sample content for your web prototoypes quickly and programmatically. Use the preset content types for the most common types of content, or create custom content types and constraints.
