For the past few months I’ve been trying to live life by a set of “guidelines”. Not really, but I’ve been trying to do stuff or not do stuff to make my life more simple. Here are some things I keep in mind these days:

Take lots of photos for memories, but do not upload them all on Facebook. Not everyone needs to know what you do every single moment of every day.
Don’t use instant messaging as a primary way to talk to people, do it old school and talk to them face-to-face.
Don’t be nosy, if someone’s going to tell you something, they will. Some things are meant to be private. Respect that.
Treat yourself to something nice often.
Try your best to smile, even when times are rough.

But funny (ish) story. I had my contacts in today and I rubbed my eye by accident in math class and then it came out and Sally was so disgusting ahahaha (love you Sally) and then I spent like half an hour with one contact in and one contact out so I was half blind because I don’t trust my school’s soaps in the washroom. The soap is like a dark blue-grey colour. I don’t know about you, but that does not sound like soap to me.

I had nothing to eat for lunch today so I decided to go to McDonalds (yeah, I know, but it’s the closest thing to me). It took me 10 minutes to walk there and when I got there, I noticed that I left most of my money at home. I was going to get a bacon chicken snap wrap and a side garden salad, but I didn’t have enough so I just got the wrap. It’s so good. I’m not even kidding. I had it a week ago for the firs time and it’s even better than the chipotle wrap. Unhealthier too, but you know, once in a while is okay. So that’s my story of getting lunch.

I had volunteering today for the first time since forever. The outbreak alert has finally been lifted in most of the hospital. It was calming.

Today our school did a flash mob kind of thing for a chance to win $10 000 for prom. It was a rainy day and considering the atrium’s source of lighting is mainly window lighting, the lighting was pretty dark. Everything came out blurry and I didn’t want to use such a high ISO because of the grain, but here’s a photo I got.

I also went to my contact lenses fitting. It went… okay… except it took me over an hour to get the contacts out and then back in after my doctor did it LOL. The woman was so nice, she sat there for over an hour waiting for me to finish. I go back in two weeks after I’ve had a chacne to test the contacts. Hopefully it goes well!

Day 7, aka the first day of school in 2013

So today wasn’t that bad. I almost fell asleep in math and photography class, but it was pretty decent for the first day back. I have a bunch of work to do though, mainly in art and photo, but I think I can do it if I try.

This is a photo (well actually two, one on top of another) of the bus station. At times, it’s empty, but once a train arrives and people get off, it becomes so busy you would have never guessed that a minute ago you could hear your own breathing. Then people get to their buses and it becomes empty again. I guess I used this to show just how quickly people pass through the station. They’re there for less than a minute and then they’re off to their next stop on their journey home.

This is so unoriginal and cliché, but it’s been a lazy day today. I stayed at home, read, and went out to buy lunch supplies for tomorrow and dinner for today. I actually don’t like this photo much, but it’s a good summary of what I did today. It’s three photos put into one.

So today I set off on an adventure with Eugenia. Both of our buses got delayed, goddamn TTC. Then when we got off, we saw a man in with a chicken head advertising something. He didn’t really say much, he was just walking around with a chicken head as people talked about him, poor guy. Then we went and bought a piece of leather that we’re going to make a clutch out of (that’s the texture of the in the photo). And we walked around, going into random stores, but not buying anything because we knew we shouldn’t and we don’t have a job. So this post sounds really boring so I’m going to end it, but it was a pretty relaxing day. We got what we wanted and had a bit of fun. School starts Monday, which sucks… a lot.

Just trying out the reverse lens thing with my camera. This is a feather I’ve had from… I think five years now? I got it from a field trip to Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons ages ago. I actually love this feather a lot, but it’s gotten beaten up over the past few years.

It snowed today! Actually, I hate snow, because it even though it looks pretty, the day after, it all becomes slush. I don’t know why, but this tree always looks interesting to me, so I decided to take a photo of it. I also tried to get a shot of the snow falling, but I didn’t really catch all the flakes. There was a lot more snow that what’s in the photo.

Wow I do not know how I managed to do this again, but this post is late by 8 minutes. Edited the date again though, it’s actually horrible how I can change the dates. I posted it earlier today on Flickr too, but here it is:

I don’t know how these light bulbs got here or why, but I love the way the light passes through them. It doesn’t look the same in the photo, but in the mornings, it’s beautiful.

I finally finished an SAT practice test from the Princeton Review after like 2 months of working on the same test. I’m… eh… about the results.

Writing: 700 + my essay which is still being graded, but at least a 720, even with the minimum essay score
Reading: 550-590
Math: 600

I’m happy about the writing, but right now I think it’s a fluke. I know I can improve on the other two. Hopefully I get better with practice for the actual test.
