Kashmir in India - ‘The Paradise on Earth’

Take a look at the 12 pictures given above. What do you feel? Just awesome, rt? These pictures are of Kashmir, a land heavily blessed by Nature, lying in the north most part of India.

Kashmir is full of flowers and sights worth watching. The people, who are living here for many years ,are all very understanding and helpful. Altogether it is a nice place to spend some long holidays for any Indian or foreigner.

But now the sad part of it comes. Kashmir has been heavily targeted by terrorists, to hide themselves and plan their operations. The reason for this is crystal clear, as next to Kashmir, lies India’s worst neighbour, Pakistan. I dunno what to say, but somehow, many terrorist people are infiltrating our borders from Pakistan and making this Kashmir a living hell!!! Atleast once a week, we hear about an explosion happening here in Jammu or Kashmir.

I have no personal grudge against Muslims, but 98% of these terrorists here in Kashmir are Muslim youths who are brain washed saying things like ‘Jihaad’ - Holy War - and all. Its time the Muslim community should rise up from their slumber and educate their youths what is Jihaad and what is its true meaning. They cannot allow their youths to be used in such cruel ways to massacre other people, especially the peace loving Indian people of Kashmir and Jammu.

Please, please don’t ruin this beautiful Kashmir,which is so blessed by Nature.

When you feel down because you didn’t get what you wanted, just sit tight and be happy, because God has thought of something better to give you.

There’s a purpose to life’s events, to teach you how to laugh more or not to cry too hard.

You can’t make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved, the rest is up to the person to realize your worth.

It’s better to lose your pride to the one you love, than to lose the one you love because of pride.

We spend too much time looking for the right person to love or finding fault with the ones we already love, when instead we should be perfecting the love we give.

Never abandon an old friend. You will never find one who can take his place.
Friendship is like Wine, it gets better as it grows older.

Here is a True Story that happened in San Antonio, United States.

Michael R. is now an accounting clerk at Frost Bank and works downtown in a second story office building. Several weeks ago, he watched a mother duck choose the concrete awning outside his window as the unlikely place to build a nest above the sidewalk.

The mallard laid ten eggs in a nest in the corner of the planter that is perched over 10 feet in the air. She dutifully kept the eggs warm for weeks, and Monday afternoon all of her ten ducklings hatched.

Michael worried all night how the momma duck was going to get those babies safely off their perch in a busy, downtown, urban environment to take to water, which typically happens in the first 48 hours of a duck hatching. Tuesday morning, Michael watched the mother duck encourage her babies to the edge of the perch with the intent to show them how to jump off!

The mother flew down below and started quacking to her babies above. In his disbelief Michael watched as the first fuzzy newborn toddled to the edge and astonishingly leapt into thin air, crashing onto the cement below. Michael couldn’t stand to watch this risky effort.

He dashed out of his office and ran down the stairs to the sidewalk where the first obedient duckling was stuporing near its mother from the near fatal fall.

As the second one took the plunge, Michael jumped forward and caught it with his bare hands before it hit the concrete. Safe and sound, he set it by the momma and the other stunned sibling, still recovering from its painful leap.

One by one the babies continued to jump. Each time Michael hid under the awning just to reach out in the nick of time as the duckling made its free fall. The downtown sidewalk came to a standstill. Time after time, Michael was able to catch the remaining 8 and set them by their approving mother.

At this point Michael realized the duck family had only made part of its dangerous journey. They had 2 full blocks to walk across traffic, crosswalks, curbs, and pedestrians to get to the closest open water, the San Antonio River. The onlooking office secretaries and several San Antonio police officers joined in.

They brought an empty copy paper box to collect the babies. They carefully corralled them, with the mother’s approval, and loaded them in the container. Michael held the box low enough for the mom to see her brood. He then slowly navigated through the downtown streets toward the San Antonio River. The mother waddled behind and kept her babies in sight.

As they reached the river, the mother took over and passed him, jumping into the river and quacking loudly. At the water’s edge, he tipped the box and helped shepherd the babies toward the water and to their mother after their adventurous ride.

All ten darling ducklings safely made it into the water and paddled up snugly to momma. Michael said the mom swam in circles, looking back toward the beaming bank bookkeeper, and proudly quacking.

Watch this video clip given above. Its named “God’s Chisel”. A very lovely one.

When God chisels the dead weight out of our lives, it can be very painful.

In one of their most requested skits, Tommy and Eddie give a very creative look at a typical believer having to go through the process of discipline.

The clip shows a man praying to God to chisel him so as to make  him  a  better person. God appears before him and what follows is a thought provoking and inspirational conversation between him and God.

I made the mistake of putting off watching this video just because it was almost 9 minutes long.

Would you give up 9 minutes if it changed you and had an eternal impact? This video has ministered me in a tremendous way. I share it with every one  hoping that the holy spirit may minister them too. It has a very anointed message.

Pets……..They are just awesome! I love my pets and I know all of you feel the same.

Our pets have become a part of our life, we recognise it or not, especially for our kids, as we can infer from the 18 pet pics given just above. Take a look at each of them, how cute and lovely they are!

Today, for many of us, our animal companions are our only or most important link with the world of nature. They teach us lessons about our own spirit and spirituality and the spirit, which permeates the whole of life. Through their very existence, pure-of-heart, full of love, and vulnerable, they teach us important lessons about the delicate balance and enormous power of the earth. Through their very existence and our proximity to them, we come to recognize that the greatest, most enduring gifts life has to offer are not material but, rather, spiritual.

Innate in human beings is a reverence and feeling of awe and upliftment when we are in contact with the natural world: the deep blue oceans and lakes; a cascading waterfall; a clear, starlit sky; a snow-covered mountain peak; a glistening glacier; a verdant meadow in bloom and ablaze with wildflowers. We find healing, serenity, peace and renewal in nature. We somehow sense that there is a Greater Power Who has created and is manifest in all living beings. Through recognition of this Greater Power or Creative Force, we are able to discover that we are far more than our mere 3 physical minds or bodies. We are the Power that motivates them.

When I ask you to listen to me
and you start giving me advice,
you have not done what I asked.

When I ask you to listen to me
and you begin to tell me why
I shouldn’t feel that way,
you are trampling on my feelings.

When I ask you to listen to me
and you feel you have to do something
to solve my problem, you have failed me,
strange as that may seem.

Listen! All I ask is that you listen.

And I can do for myself; I am not helpless.
Maybe discouraged and faltering,
but not helpless.

When you do something for me that
I need to do for myself,
you contribute to my fear and inadequacy.

But when you accept as a simple fact
that I feel what I feel,
no matter how irrational,
then I can stop tying to convince you
and get a bout this business of
understanding what’s behind
this irrational feeling.

And when that’s clear,
the answers are obvious
and I don’t need advice.

Irrational feelings make sense
when we understand what’s behind them.

Perhaps that’s why prayer works,
sometimes, for some people -
because God is mute, and
he doesn’t give advice or try to fix things.

God just listens and
lets you work it out for yourself.

So please listen,
and just hear me.

And if you want to talk,
wait a minute for your turn-
and I will listen to you.

As you sit in your house
You hear a sound.
You search for the source,
At the front door it’s found.

You open the door and
There stands a man
That you’ve never met,
With a checkbook in hand.

He says, “Go gather your bills
And add them today.
I have this checkbook,
And I’d like to pay.”

Watch this touching video clip given above which shows a conversation between a father and son.

This Greek short film (with English subtitle) was made in 2007.

Father and son are sitting on a bench. Suddenly a sparrow lands across them. The old Father asks son, “What is that?” to which the son replies “A Sparrow” and looks back into his newspaper. After sometime his father again asks him “What is that”. A little annoyed, son replies “I just told you father, its a sparrow”.

Then, the sparrow flies to the other side and sits there. The father repeats his question “what is that?”. This time, son replies “A sparrow father, a sparrow…s-p-a-r-r-o-w……” and when again the father repeats his question, son is filled with anger and says “Why are you doing this Father? How many times I told you its a sparrow!!!”

Father gets up and goes into the house to take his old dairy. He comes back and asks his son to read a passage from the dairy, which goes like this “Today my youngest son, who a few days ago turned three, was sitting with me at the park when a sparrow sat in front of us. My son asked me 21 times what it was and I answered all 21 times that it was a sparrow. I hugged him every single time he asked me the same question again and again without getting mad, feeling affection for my innocent little boy.”

This is really a good video. I couldn’t help crying after watching it. Really meaningful, if only people of today could learn of the patience of this loving father. Its sad to think that often we are so succumbed to impulse like the son in this video.

A simple, yet very meaningful, with the message very clearly put forward. Check this out….

Old folks are worth a fortune,
with silver in their hair,
gold in their teeth,
stones in their kidneys,
lead in their feet and
gas in their stomachs.

I have become a lot more social
with the passing of the years,
some might even call me a frivolous old gal.
I’m seeing five gentlemen every day!

As soon as I wake, Will Power
helps me get out of bed.
Then I go see John.
Then Charley Horse comes along,
and when he is here he takes a lot
of my time and attention!
When he leaves, Arthur Ritis shows
up and stays the rest of the day.
He doesn’t like to stay in one place very long,
so he takes me from joint to joint!
After such a busy day,
I’m really tired and glad to go to bed,
with Ben Gay!

P.S. The preacher came to call the other day.
He said that at my age I should be
thinking about the hear-after.
I told him I do, all the time.
No matter where I am,
in the kitchen or down in the basement,
I ask myself, “Now what am I here after?”
