Downloading Megaupload Files As Premium User Bypassing Image Code And Timer Read more

File-sharing service Megaupload forces free-downloader's to enter image-verification code and wait for 45 seconds to download the file, we had shared many tips, tricks and tools to bypass this limitation but all of them are obsolete now.

Today I am going to share a wonderful, fast and simple way to bypass megaupload limitation allowing you to download files as premium users even with your download manager.

To get the direct download link all you need to do is to add mgr_dl.php before the question mark in download link as shown below.

<ins>Example:</ins>

Normal Link - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GMG4K8TI
Direct Download Link - http://www.megaupload.com/mgr_dl.php?d=GMG4K8TI

To make things simple I have created an exclusive bookmarklet for our blog readers - simply click on the link/bookmarklet below and <ins>drag and drop to your bookmarks toolbar</ins>, while on the megaupload file download page click the bookmarklet and your download will start automatically.

<ins>Bookmarklet -></ins> Megaupload Downloader

Now, before you get too excited I would like to clarify that this is no hack or backdoor to get direct megaupload download links but a legitimate method to get <ins>limited</ins> direct-download links provided by Megaupload for free users, usually Megaupload provides <ins>1-3 free direct links per IP every 24 hour</ins>; to check your current remaining free direct-download link credits check http://www.megaupload.com/mgr_bdr.php
There are three main concepts you must consider before starting any search engine optimization: target keywords popularity, your keyword density and competition research. When we speak for keyword research, we just speak for finding the right keywords for our target audience. Take a break and think about your target. What your site offers, what is your audience? Write down your niche keywords and start the research. Don’t rush. This is one of the most important tasks in every SEO project.

A. Research your keywords

Keyword research is the first step you need to do when planning a search engine optimization strategy. Without knowing which words are popular in your content category, your efforts may go unnoticed, or with little reward. Search engine optimization takes months before you start to see results, and if you don't do the proper keyword research, you may end up having wasted your time and effort.
The most popular tool which tells you how many times a search was done is the Overture Keyword Suggestion tool, found at: http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ . Overture is a pay-per-click (PPC) search engine, where people bid on search result placements. Basically, they are paying for the high rankings in this search engine model. However, they provide the Keyword Suggestion tool for free to anyone. Basically what this tool does is gives you a report of how many times a specific keyword (and related phrases) were searched in their search engine for the previous month. For example, if you type in "Search Engine Optimization", you will see as of 03/14/04, it was searched for 67,741 times in the previous month. The next phrase in the list, which is suggested by the tool is "search engine optimization services" - searched for only 7,261 times in the last month.
Use this tool as a "best guess" estimate of the frequency of other search engines. Google and others don't provide this kind of customized keyword suggestion. Google however does provide a "Top 100+" lists though (link here), but they are only the top 100 words searched for in Google. AltaVista has a similar list (link here). These lists are only good if you're going after those keyword markets.
One thing to keep in mind is that the more times a phrase is searched, the higher the competition will be in obtaining top rankings for those phrases. The Overture Suggestion tool is nice because it suggest alternatives, which can be less competitive (thus, easier to obtain high rankings), and still provide you with plenty of keywords to optimize for. Google Adwords has a similar suggestion tool, although it doesn't give you frequency of how many times the phrase was used (link here).
Other Resources:
- Digital Point Keyword Suggestion Tool
(http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/)
- Google AdWords Keywords Tool
(https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordSandbox)
- SearchGuild.com Search Term Difficulty Checker
(http://www.searchguild.com/cgi-bin/difficulty.pl)
WordTracker commercial tool, offering free trial (also very popular): (http://wordtracker.com/)

KeywordDiscovery.com Keyword Research Tool - online tool with some unique features (like historical query data)

B. Keyword Density Analysis

Keyword Density Analysis (KWDA) refers to an automated way to count the frequency of words and/or phrases on your web page. There are several automated tools which do this, and they all work pretty much the same way (link here). You should at least be able to specify the maximum number of words in a phrase - For example counting all phrases up to 4 words would work for phrases such as "search engine", "search engine optimization", and "search engine optimization info". The Keyword Density Analysis tool would count the frequency of all the word(s) starting with single words, and then two-word phrases, on up to four-word phrases. This will give you a good idea of which keywords you need to use when optimizing your existing pages - not everyone is going to rewrite their site's content in an effort to optimize. Some simple things you can do already existing pages will take your search engine ranking to the next level.

C. Take a look on your competitors

It is extremely useful experience – just write your keywords in Google and follow the results. Researching competitor’s sites you’ll get better idea what you’re doing. Again: don’t rush. There is only one way to do the optimization – and this way starts with knowing your keywords. Don’t attack the top-searched keywords – the competition here will be at the top too. Try to find not-so-competitive phrases and start with them.

Komisi Gratiss

Choosing Domain

One of the most important factors in seo is choosing your domain name. It can be said that domains are worthless, as we've seen from such dotbombs as pets.com and loans.com going for millions of dollars in the early internet boom days (yet the businesses failed one after another). There is still some emphasis you need to place when picking a domain name for your new web site.

A. Keywords in the domain name

If you're really going after a specific topic in your web site, you want to try to pick a domain which has those keywords in it. For example, in choosing the domain for this site, the goal was to use "seo" in a domain name, since that is the phrase we try to target most at this site. It was easy, because the site was planned as subdomain in existing .com domain, but if you try to find a domain in the .com top-level domain, you will see it is not an easy job. As a general rule – try to use standard top-level extensions (com, net, org) and avoid .info or .biz domains – because they are often used by spammers.
As you've probably noticed, extremely long domain names with hyphens in them are becoming more and more prevalent in Google and other search engines. The problem is that they will improve your ranking to an extent, but then when you go to the site, you see nothing but some crappy spam web site. Just the kind of seo we frown upon here! Avoid using incredibly long domains like "extreme-use-of-keywords-here.net". As an active web surfer, people will simply skip over those domains in Google serps, without so much as a look. Most of those domains generate doorway pages, gear towards feeding the spider, but useless to humans.

B. Simplicity

That being said, it's not all about the domain name, unless you can get something like seo.com, but all those short one-word domains are taken. It's also important to pick a domain name people can remember, and type easily from memory. You can even makeup a word like zupes.com (http://www.zupes.com). Remember, the domain is just one small factor in seo, and it certainly will not make or break your web site. So be creative, use the Network Solutions (http://www.netsol.com) domain name suggestion tool for ideas. The goal is to get visitors to your site, and once they are regulars, you want them to be able to type it in their browser easily. So again, avoid doman names such as "extremely-lame-and-long-domain.net". Nobody will ever type that into a browser, and it inherently implies "suckiness" when seen in the serps.

C. Subdomain / Folder / Page Name

If you cannot use your keyword(s) in the domain name, you can try to put the keyword into subdomain or folder name. For example: keyword.domain.com or domain.com/keyword/

Therefore, you may use the keyword into the page name itself (like keyword-something.html)

BUT do not overuse the keyword! Don't try something like keyword.com/keyword.html - because this can be a good reason page to be penalized as spam

Komisi Gratiss

What Is Seo

seo is a way that is in order to achieve rankings in search engines (google, yahoo, Bing etc), to do so we need to add some important parts of our website or blog, such as by adding “Meta” that contains the Meta description and keywords associated with your website.

The main goal of search engine optimization is to increase your web site's traffic by obtaining higher rankings in search engines for keyword searches related to your web site.

You can also increase your traffic exponentially by getting high rankings in search engines. For example, if you currently have 100 visitors per day, and managed to effectively increase your traffic to 1,000 visitors per day, you would notice your traffic increasing each month. There are several factors which can contribute to this phenomenon. One of them is referred to as "viral marketing". Although a somewhat ugly name tag, it describes the type of marketing which has exponential growth. Back to our example, if 10% of your visitors passed your domain name onto their friends or co-workers, or established a link to your home page, you would see an alternative source of traffic to the search engines. This is the basic principle behind "word-of-mouth" referalls, and holds true with links.

One can directly tweak anything in the registry to alter any of the system settings. However not all registry keys are visible when viewed through default registry editor (regedit.exe). Especially some of the security and core system related keys are hidden from user. Even administrator cannot see these special keys.

Here are some of the such hidden registry keys

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SECURITY

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SAM

SECURITY registry key stores all the system policy and LSA secrets related information. SAM registry key has details for user accounts along with LM/NTLM password hashes for each user.

There are many ways we can view these hidden registry keys. We can use psexec.exe tool (part of pstools package from sysinternals) to launch the regedit.exe as system account as shown below.

psexec.exe -s -i regedit.exe

Here is the screenshot showing the hidden SAM accounts through registry editor running under system account.

Another way to view these hidden keys is through IceSword, the antirootkit tool. This beautiful tool comes with powerful registry editor using which all these hidden registry keys can be discovered easily.

Here is the screenshot below which shows Security registry key through IceSword.

Komisi Gratiss

facebook server down in some country

Washington - The Facebook fans in some countries had confused because their favorite sites were not accessible. Apparently, it had no problem on the server for Facebook.

Quoted from Press Association, Sunday (21.2.2010), the members of Facebook in the United Kingdom, United States, Mexico, Thailand and several countries began to complain difficult to access Facebook since Saturday local time.

In which, among other complaints submitted via Twitter mikroblogging site, some users reported that they had difficulty logging in. Some longer felt that access to the site is very slow.

Through his spokesman, Matt Hicks, the Facebook admitted that there was little damage on the server. But he said, the percentage of users who have very little disruption. Unfortunately no mention user in any country affected by the problem.

Lucky, Facebook technicians can quickly overcome the problems occur so that the current access to the site is no longer difficult. Not explain what was causing the problem on the server brand

Komisi Gratiss

Make Your Old Firefox Extensions Work With Firefox 3

Firefox 3

here is a little hack to get your must have extensions work with the new browser, but before proceeding do keep in mind that this can be risky and may render your browser insecure, so proceed on your own risk, I tried it myself and everything works fine, All of my favorite addons like - Linkify, Rapidshare Link Finder, Remove Cookies etc. are working perfectly.

Follow the steps below, in-case something goes wrong a solution is also provided at the end of the post:

Type about:config in address bar and press Enter.

Now Right-click anywhere, Select New>Boolean, name the new config value extensions.checkCompatibility and set it to false.

Make another new boolean value as above with name extensions.checkUpdateSecurity and set the value to false.

Restart Firefox.

In very rare cases your browser might not start or crash due to incompatibility, simply start the browser in Safe Mode and revert back the setting or try enabling extensions one by one to see what works and what not.

ktaken from

BackTrack is the most popular Linux live CD distribution focused on penetration testing. It comes loaded with all the top security tools so that you can immediately startup with your work without the need for downloading and installing any of the security tools.
One of the use of BackTrack is to fix Windows problems such as fixing the registry, resetting the user passwords etc. Here I am going to explain how we can use BackTrack to fix the Windows registry.
Often times, we mess up with the registry leaving the system in hanged state. In such situations BackTrack plays major role to put you back on track.

Registry Recovery Operation

To start with, boot your system with BackTrack CD. After booting you have to make sure that your Windows system partition is mounted in read/write mode. If your system partition has NTFS file system then you have to unmount that partition and remount in read/write mode.
Lets assume that your system partition is /dev/hda1 which is currently mounted on to /mnt/hda1. You can use 'mount' command to view the devices and their respective mount points.

To unmount this partition use following command

# umount /mnt/hda1

Now to mount it with read/write access, execute the following command

# mount -o rw /dev/hda1 /mnt/hda1

If the above method does not work then use the following method specified by Muts of BackTrack. For FAT32 partition, you need not have to do anything as it is already mounted with read/write access.

Using Chntpw tool to Edit Registry

Now go to config folder on your system partition which has all registry hives.

# cd /mnt/hda1/windows/system32/config

Then type 'chntpw' command to view its help screen. This tool comes with built-in registry editor which can be used to manipulate any part of the registry. To invoke registry editor you have to specify -e option with the name of registry hive file. Entire Windows registry data is stored in couple of hive files. Here is the table below that shows mapping between the hive file and the part of the registry. Based on what part of the registry you are going to modify, you have to select corresponding hive file.

Registry Key Name
Hive Filename

HKEY_CURRENT_USER
NTuser.dat

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SAM
SAM

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SECURITY
SECURITY

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE
SOFTWARE

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM
SYSTEM

HKEY_USERS\DEFAULT
DEFAULT

Let me explain the complete registry editing operation with an example. Assume that 'Windows Themes service' is preventing normal booting of your system. Now to bring your system back to normal you need disable this service.
The registry key for the Themes service is located here.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Themes

To disable this service, we have to change the 'Start' value (under above mentioned key) to '4'.

Start REG_DWORD 4

Now from the above table, its clear that we have to use 'SYSTEM' hive file for editing with 'chntpw'. Type the command as shown below.

# chntpw -e SYSTEM

At the new command prompt type ? to see various commands used for registry editing. Most useful commands are dir, cat,cd,ed etc.
Now type 'dir' command to see all the subkeys under the root key. You will see many ControlSet00* keys under this, but where is the CurrentControlSet key. We need this subkey to edit properties of Themes service..!
Well, don't be panic. The answer is hidden in 'Select' subkey. Now enumerate all the values under 'Select' subkey as shown below.

> cd Select
> dir

Now the value associated with 'Current' subkey will tell you which is the currently used ControlSet00* key. For example if the 'Current' has value 2 then that means you have to select 'ControlSet002' etc. On my machine the 'Current' has value 1. So I am going to select 'ControlSet001' key.
Know we know which controlset we have to use for our purpose. Now select it and move on to Themes subkey as shown below. Note that we are under Select key. You have to go back to root key to choose the ControlSet key.

> cd..
> cd ControlSet001\Services\Themes

Now type 'dir' command to see all the names and their values under this key. We have to just change DWORD value of 'Start' to 4 using the 'ed' command.

> ed Start

When you are prompted to enter new value, just type 4 and press 'ENTER' to set the new value. To verify use the below shown command.

> cat Start

Once you have modified all required changes, type 'q' to quit the registry editor and then press 'y' to save your changes. After that restart the system and you should be able to login normally without any problem.

Use BackTrack and get back on track...!

Reset Password

To reset the password you can try

> chntpw -i SAM

-------------------------------------------------------------------
References

1.
Finding an Easter egg in movies is usually a cool thing, but finding them in software is even cooler. Today we will look at the hidden game in the Open Office Spreadsheet program Calc.

Open up a new Calc Spreadsheet and enter =GAME("StarWars") into any of the cells and hit enter. Make sure and type in the capital letters as shown to get it to work. The easiest would be to copy the text above and paste it into a cell.

This opens up the Star-Wars Galaxy game which is a Space Invaders clone.

The instructions are in German but you don't need to know a single word to be able to start playing. Just use the arrow keys to move and the Spacebar to shoot.

This is not the greatest Space Invaders clone but still fun knowing you can take a break from data entry and get your retro gaming fix.

Ubuntu’s Update Manager is a great utility that keeps all of your software up-to-date. If you’re using the default sources, updates have been tested and should work with no problems.

However, one item that you may not want to upgrade is the Linux kernel that powers your computer. Maybe you’ve customized your kernel, are annoyed with constantly cleaning up your Grub boot menu, or have had issues with video and audio drivers not working after kernel updates.

The following steps will show you how to hide kernel upgrades in Ubuntu while still allowing you to use Update Manager to get other software updates.

APT (Advanced Packaging Tool) is the system that Ubuntu uses to manage all of the software installed on a system. It allows you to “pin” a package to a certain version, so that it won’t be updated when you the Update Manager runs.

To pin your kernel packages, first you must determine what version your kernel is. One way to do this is to open the Synaptic Package Manager in System > Administration.

Type in “linux-generic” in the Quick search text field and hit enter.

Make a note of the number listed in the “Installed Version” column. We’ll use it in the next step.

Next, we need to edit the file /etc/apt/preferences. Open it by pressing Alt+F2 to bring up the Run Application window and entering in:

gksudo gedit /etc/apt/preferences

This will open up a gedit window. Most likely the window will be blank, unless you’ve played around with APT before.

In the window, type in the following, replacing the version number with the version number you found in the Synaptic Package Manager.

Package: linux-generic linux-headers-generic linux-image-generic linux-restricted-modules-generic
Pin: version <insert version here>
Pin-Priority: 1001

Save the file and close gedit. If you open the Update Manager, you should see that the Linux kernel updates are now hidden!

And that’s it!

Komisi Gratiss

Removing unused device drivers from Windows XP machines

Did you know that unless you uninstall a device driver on a Windows XP machine that it still may be sucking up valuable system resources? Here are step-by-step instructions on how you can view and remove these unnecessary devices.

When you install a device driver on a Windows XP machine, the operating system loads that driver each time the computer boots regardless of whether the device is present—unless you specifically uninstall the driver. This means that drivers from devices that you have long since removed from your system may be wasting valuable system resources.

Follow these steps to view and remove these unnecessary device drivers:

Press [Windows]+[Break] to bring up the System Properties dialog box.

Select the Advanced tab and click the Environment Variables button.

Click the New button below the System Variables panel.

In the New System Variable dialog box, type devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices in the Variable Name text box and 1 in the Variable Value text box.

Click OK to return to the System Properties dialog box and then click OK again.

Select the Hardware tab and click the Device Manager button.

In Device Manager, go to View | Show Hidden Devices.

Expand the various branches in the device tree and look for the washed out icons, which indicate unused device drivers.

To remove an unused device driver, right-click the icon and select Uninstall.

Komisi Gratiss

KeePass

KeePass Password Safe is a free, open source, light-weight and easy-to-use password manager for Windows. and fill in the number beside the box, to start numbering from certain numbers.

Click OK.

Changing Font Type and Size Number Page

Double click on the header / footer where the page numbers are to raise the Header & Footer Tools.

Select / highlight the page number.

At the mini toolbar that appears, do the desired format.

Creating Position No. Different At Home Odd And Even Pages

Like the example above, we will make an odd pages have page numbers on the right. In even-numbered pages, the page number on the left.

Double click on the header / footer where the page numbers are to raise the Header & Footer Tools.

On the Design tab, Options group, check the box Different Odd & Even Pages.

On odd pages, create page numbers on the right.

Then move to even-numbered pages, and create the position of page numbers on the left.

Next we add each new page, then position the page numbers will follow the format that has been created.

Creating the First Page Number Location Different In Each Chapter

As an example in the figure, the first page of each chapter will be different from his position with the pages of others. Usually for these settings, there are separate each chapter in a different document.
But with the use of section breaks, we can combine several chapters in the same document.
More details about the use of section breaks can be read in this article: Use the Section Break to Set the layout and format documents in Word 2003/2007

Double click on the header / footer to bring the Header & Footer Tools.

On the Design tab, Options group, check the Different First Page box.

On the first page, make the page numbers as an example in the picture.

Then move to the second page, and give the page numbers in the upper right.

Next we will create a new section to separate between chapters.

Place the cursor at the top who want to make a new section (for example in the picture: in the writing Chapter 2).

On the Page Layout tab, Page Setup, click Breaks.

In the Section Breaks group, select the type of break Next Page. Now look at the format page numbers in section 2 will be the same as section 1.

Furthermore if we want to add a new chapter, follow steps 6-8.

Make a Page Number Format Different in the Same Document

As an example in the picture, use the Contents page format roman numerals (i, ii, iii, etc.) while the contents using arabic numbers (1,2,3, etc.).
This section will also use Section Break.

Separate between parts (Table of Contents and the Article) with a section break. Select the type of break Next Page.
Tip: You can create a section break first, and then type the contents of the document. Mark the title of each section.

On the Insert tab, Header & Footer, click Page Number, and select Format Page Numbers.

In the Number format, select the format roman numerals. When finished click OK.

Repeat steps 2 and now select Bottom of Page to insert page numbers.

Double click on the footer in Section 2 (part of the article). See the example in the picture.

Next on the Header & Footer group, click Page Number, and select Format Page Numbers.

In the Page numbering click the Start At and enter the number 1. When finished click OK.

Eliminating Tax Page

On the Insert tab, Header & Footer group, click Page Number.

Select Remove Page Numbers.

To remove manually, click the header / footer and select the page number. Then press the Delete button.
If there is a different first-page or odd and even headers / footers, or have a section that is not connected, so be sure to delete any page numbers on each header / footer.

Komisi Gratiss

Windows Tips To protect your Computer

Here some Tips to make your windows Save

Disable CD Autorun

1) Click Start, Run and enter GPEDIT.MSC

2) Go to Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, System.

3) Locate the entry for Turn autoplay off and modify it as you desire.

Make your Folders Private

•Open My Computer
•Double-click the drive where Windows is installed (usually drive (C:), unless you have more than one drive on your computer).
•If the contents of the drive are hidden, under System Tasks, click Show the contents of this drive.
•Double-click the Documents and Settings folder.
•Double-click your user folder.
•Right-click any folder in your user profile, and then click Properties.
•On the Sharing tab, select the Make this folder private so that only I have access to it check box.

Note

•To open My Computer, click Start, and then click My Computer.
•This option is only available for folders included in your user profile. Folders in your user profile include My Documents and its subfolders, Desktop, Start Menu, Cookies, and Favorites. If you do not make these folders private, they are available to everyone who uses your computer.
•When you make a folder private, all of its subfolders are private as well. For example, when you make My Documents private, you also make My Music and My Pictures private. When you share a folder, you also share all of its subfolders unless you make them private.
•You cannot make your folders private if your drive is not formatted as NTFS For information about converting your drive to NTFS

Set Permissions for Shared Files and Folders

Sharing of files and folders can be managed in two ways. If you chose simplified file sharing, your folders can be shared with everyone on your network or workgroup, or you can make your folders private. (This is how folders are shared in Windows 2000.) However, in Windows XP Professional, you can also set folder permissions for specific users or groups. To do this, you must first change the default setting, which is simple file sharing. To change this setting, follow these steps:
•Open Control Panel, click Tools, and then click Folder Options.
•Click the View tab, and scroll to the bottom of the Advanced Settings list.
•Clear the Use simple file sharing (Recommended) check box.
•To manage folder permissions, browse to the folder in Windows Explorer, right–click the folder, and then click Properties. Click the Security tab, and assign permissions, such as Full Control, Modify, Read, and/or Write, to specific users.

You can set file and folder permissions only on drives formatted to use NTFS, and you must be the owner or have been granted permission to do so by the owner.

How to Remove Windows XP's Messenger
Theoretically, you can get rid of it (as well as a few other things). Windows 2000 power users should already be familiar with this tweak.
Fire up the Windows Explorer and navigate your way to the %SYSTEMROOT% \ INF folder. What the heck is that thingy with the percentage signs? It's a variable. For most people, %SYSTEMROOT% is C:\Windows. For others, it may be E:\WinXP. Get it? Okay, on with the hack! In the INF folder, open sysoc.inf (but not before making a BACKUP copy first). Before your eyes glaze over, look for the line containing "msmsgs" in it. Near the end of that particular line, you'll notice that the word "hide" is not so hidden. Go ahead and delete "hide" (so that the flanking commas are left sitting next to one another). Save the file and close it. Now, open the Add and Remove Programs applet in the Control Panel. Click the Add / Remove Windows Components icon. You should see "Windows Messenger" in that list. Remove the checkmark from its box, and you should be set. NOTE: there are other hidden system components in that sysoc.inf file, too. Remove "hide" and the subsequent programs at your own risk.

Restricting Logon Access

If you work in a multiuser computing environment, and you have full (administrator level) access to your computer, you might want to restrict unauthorized access to your "sensitive" files under Windows 95/98.
One way is to disable the Cancel button in the Logon dialog box.
Just run Regedit and go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Network/Logon

Create the "Logon" subkey if it is not present on your machine: highlight the Network key -> right-click in the left hand Regedit pane -> select New -> Key -> name it "Logon" (no quotes) -> press Enter. Then add/modify a DWORD value and call it "MustBeValidated" (don't type the quotes). Double-click it, check the Decimal box and type 1 for value.
Now click the Start button -> Shut Down (Log off UserName) -> Log on as a different user, and you'll notice that the Logon Cancel button has been disabled.

Create a Password Reset Disk

If you’re running Windows XP Professional as a local user in a workgroup environment, you can create a password reset disk to log onto your computer when you forget your password. To create the disk:

1.Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click User Accounts.
2.Click your account name.
3.Under Related Tasks, click Prevent a forgotten password.
4.Follow the directions in the Forgotten Password Wizard to create a password reset disk.
5.Store the disk in a secure location, because anyone using it can access your local user account.

Its taken from HERE

Komisi Gratiss

Dual-boot Windows 7 on a Vista PC

In this video tutorial, see how to dual-boot Windows 7 Beta on a Vista PC. Have you ever wandered back upon the old days? Put an ancient version of MS-DOS on one of your old boxes? Or are you having trouble using the Windows command prompt?

Step 1

If you're on a computer that has DOS as an operating system, the command prompt should appear automatically when the computer is turned on. If you're using a Windows computer, you'll need to start the command prompt manually. For most computers, it should be located under 'Accessories' in the Start menu. It can also be accessed by typing "<windows button>" and "R". Then type in "cmd" without the quotes and you should be in DOS, also known as a Command Prompt.

Step 2

You should see a window with "C:\>" , "C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\[your name]>", or something similar. This is called the command prompt , and it also serves the useful purpose of showing what directory you're currently in. At the end of this prompt, you type commands (think verbs) followed by arguments (think nouns -- when the verb needs a noun, that is), then press enter. Here are some sample commands:

C:\GAMES>ping nosound

C:\MY DOCUMENTS>edit essay.txt

Step 3

The most important thing you should be able to do is list the contents of directories , and navigate them. Use the dir command to list the contents of your hard disk or the directory (or "folder") that you're in. Depending on where you are, you might get something like this:

. DIR

.. DIR

DOS DIR

GAMES DIR

WINDOWS DIR

AUTOEXEC .BAT

ESSAY .TXT

Step 4

When used on its own, dir will show the contents of your current directory , but there are many useful arguments for the dir command. For example, typing the name of a directory after dir will give you the contents of that directory instead, and /p is useful for very long lists because it will stop and wait for you to press a key every time it reaches the end of the screen. /p can also be used in most other commands that print on the screen.

Step 5

If you want to enter a directory , type cd , then the path and name of the directory (ex. cd C:\GAMES\GRAPE ). If the directory is a subdirectory of the directory you're currently in, like if you were already in GAMES in the previous example, you could also just type cd GRAPE . Here, ' cd ' is the command and the directory is the argument. The command prompt also shows the name of your current directory. So, typing

C:\> CD C:\GAMES\GRAPE

Would change the command prompt to

C:\GAMES\GRAPE>

Step 6

Executing programs is exactly like commands. For example, if I wanted to start the game Mortar Mayhem, I would navigate to the directory it's in:

C:\> cd games\mortar

Then I would type the name of the EXE file, without the extension.

C:\GAMES\MORTAR> mortar

And now the game would run.

Step 7

Now that you know the basic syntax of DOS , here are some other useful commands. The things in [brackets] are only examples.

del [countdown.txt] - Deletes a file. Does not remove directories, but does clear their contents.

move [countdown.txt] [c:\games\grape] - Moves a file or folder

md [grape] - Creates a subdirectory

rmdir [grape] - Removes a directory.

Tips

This article will be best help with DOS versions 4 or higher.

MS DOS is ancient, so don't go replacing your $200 copy of Windows XP with it. Not many of today's hot products are compatible with it by a long shot.

Give FreeDOS a try if you're really interested in using the DOS operating system. It's a 100% non-proprietary operating system.

If you are uncertain what a command does, simply type in [COMMAND]/? The /? will make DOS give you information about the command, telling you how to use it.

Warnings

DOS doesn't restrict your access to system files like windows does, so it's easier to mess things up.

This does not run MS DOS, it is merely a terminal.

Komisi Gratiss

Install App On Ubuntu

Want to install programs you want, but because you are new to Linux, don't understand how it works? This article will show you how to install simple programs in Ubuntu.

Step 1

Connect to the internet unless you are using offline repositories.

Graphically

Open your main menu, select System, click on Synaptic (or Adept Updater, depending on your distribution).

Type a query into the search

Select a package you think is relative to what you want

Click "Install"

Command-line

Open up terminal (Konsole, xterm, or any other command line/bash shell interface)

Type sudo su (sudo as in superuser do, su as in "switch user") to get administrative privileges to install software

Type your password if prompted.

When it gives you a new cursor after something that looks like this, "root@computer:/#" where "computer" is the name of your computer:

Type sudo aptitude install but don't hit enter! You need to know the package name of your program. "sudo aptitude search <program>" will yield search results for your package when you supply it to the terminal. In some cases, it may automatically know which package you want, such as "sudo aptitude install firefox" Look on the package page of the Ubuntu distribution site.

If you are not sure of the name of the program you are trying to install, you can use tab completion to try and find it (most major distributions have it.) Simply type the first few letters of the package you want to install and hit tab once or twice. For example, type fire and then hit tab, it will bring up all packages that begin with fire; firefox will be one of them.

Wait for it to prepare to install the software package from the repository.

If you are prompted whether or not to install, type "y". Next time if you would rather have it do it automatically, type sudo aptitude install package -y, package being the name of the package you are installing.

Wait for it to finish installing, and close the terminal.

It should be in the Main Menu under the appropriate category. If not, restart your computer.

Tips

Try to install only packages you will use

Update your packages by typing
sudo aptitude update then sudo aptitude safe-upgrade

If you decide you do not want a package anymore, type
sudo aptitude remove package
(replace package with the name of the package).

If you are making changes to your sources list (/etc/apt/sources.list), be sure to update it with sudo aptitude update.

When you install a package, other packages may be installed with it as well. These are called dependencies.

Warnings

Don't run programs that can crash the system

Be sure whether it is the correct program you want. If you don't download the package from the main distribution site, the package you are downloading could be porn, which is not what you intended. Be sure you trust the site that you download from.

Komisi Gratiss
