It has 6 steps you have to follow.

1. Incorporate. Nonprofit incorporation creates your nonprofit with the state. Also, a copy of your Articles of Incorporation will be required when you apply for tax-exempt status.

3. File Form 1023 with the IRS. Form 1023 is around 30 pages long without the schedules and attachments. The IRS estimates preparation time of over 100 hours for completion, and IRS approval can take anywhere from a couple months to around a year, depending on the number of written follow-up questions the IRS has and how quickly you provide answers.

WRONG! The IRS has to approve it. I don’t know how many had reached the 15 month threshold. Some may have went straight to the IRS. They can start operating after incorporation, but that doesn’t guarantee they will receive tax exemption.

Fallon’s Game of Desks fell flat as well, imo. Just another “let’s poke fun at the late night switch” bit, another way to get Leno (and this time, Seth Meyers) in a skit. And his interviews with Paul Walker and Joss Whedon – I’ve lost all faith at Fallon’s ability to interview. With Paul Walker it was like really, really bad small talk. With Joss Whedon it was a stuttering mess.

Sigh.

On another note, Seth Myers and Jay Leno made a cameo in Fallon’s Game of Desks tonight.

Republicans denied president Obama’s budget that included structure repair for bridges. Republicans argued that they have other priorities and denied president Obama’s request of paying for the repairs by increasing taxes on the millionaires. Which of the following is in higher priority for the republicans than repairing bridges in the United States :

B) Tax cuts for the millionaires

Why you are wrong….Colbert didn’t have to file because he didn’t have a 501(4)c…he had a super PAC as in, Political Action Committee (PAC). he COULDN”T file as a 501(4)c, because political action committees sole purpose is political….a 501(4)c is not a political action committee…they can only spend a portion of their money of political causes…do you understand the difference? Probably not, because you turned to Stephen Colbert for legal and political advice….

So you think that Lois Lerner admitted to doing a felony and apologizing for it because she’s a “pu$sie” and she’s trying to “appease the right wing”?

Well, if that is the case, then Lois should have never been in that position in the first place. People do not admit to and apologize to doing a felony to “appease the other side”…..not intelligent people anyway.

Like Bobbyv has said we will disagree on this. We now have to watch how the hands get played.

Personally it all stinks to me.

We are not going to agree on this but it is nice to have an honest debate. I do not agree that the government is innocent here, that is the reason for the planted question, administrative leave, 5th amendment, BO apology, and possible IRS shakeup. That is a lot of effect if there was no cause. Hypocrisy always runs both ways – I have not heard that much complaining from the Right about wire tapping under BO, but did hear a lot about civil liberties violations when GWB was president but not so much now (forget about torture). By the same token many on the Right gave the President no credit for OBL but I think would have given GWB credit.

As for the comparison, you brought the terror angle/wire tapping into the conversation, I do not think it applies since we are talking solely about political groups on either side of the aisle not being treated the same. If everything was on the up-and-up why is a sitting President apologizing for it? He did not apologize for Libya or the AP so there must be something different here right?

Because they are if I can borrow the word from Stephen Colbert, “pu$sies”. It’s clear that Obama and most democrats been appeasing to the right wing for a while now. So they will definitely fire some people from the IRS or force their resignation. Therefore, Lois is trying to save her job, however most likely she’ll fail.

The only wrongdoing I see by the IRS, is if they had both liberal groups and conservative groups in violation of their taxation status yet they decided to punish the conservatives while letting liberal groups go.

The only wrongdoing I see by Obama is if he personally ordered the IRS to scrutinize conservative groups.

Unfortunately, Chris Matthews is holding Obama personally responsible without any facts. He sounded like an idiot from Fox News the other day. I agree with him however, that these non-scandals will give republican politicians extra 5-10 points in the midterms and maybe that’s their real motive of raising these non-scandals in the first place.
