Jay, Any thoughts on why Berman would switch from his usual practice of reporting the rating number to reporting the viewers in the demo for his AMC/The Chew comparison?

My theory is that the compairsons were dramatic enough in the numbers this week so he compared viewers? But I have not see all the numbers in key demos for The Chew — so I don’t know.

It’s a shame The CW promoted Supernatural to Wednesdays, as we could have seen them push Fox to #6 (Univision will beat both). Now that would have been quite something for the “#1″ (air quotes because it’s only the 10pm hour that pushes CBS down) network.

I too am impressed with B&B. It quietly holds its own without much fanfare. Just wish Liam would hurry up and choose between Hope and Steffy, I too am tired of that s/l. Should get even more interesting since Deacon is about to show up though.

I think Days and GH are the most talked about since their ratings haven’t been super great lately. Yes, they have made small gains here and there, but everyone is on their toes wondering their futures.

I was snarking on your delusional fantasy that scripted programming will (or can) replace reality.

I have no opinion on the quality of Duets, but it’s ridiculous to think that a possible alternative is new scritped programming.

Clearly, “FRINGE’s” fan base has settled in the low 1′s of the demo, and that’s where it will STAY for its final season. And none of us “FRINGE” fans expect or will be talking about a sixth season, except maybe that nutjob Bondoel or his other pseudonyms. Warner Brothers wanted a full 22-episode fifth season, but FOX gave them 13 to get them to the more lucrative 100+ episode total for strip syndication, where the show has already gotten a deal to air on Science, so they accomplished their goal. We have no delusions about a sixth season, or even a back-9 order, so shut your trap and stop speaking about that which you know not of!!

Now, for Mike to be right, Jay has to dive nearly 20% in the demo or 16% in viewers for a week of new episodes in the final 25 days of June. Even though the lead-ins have not weakened much, and he is unopposed by Dave on Fridays. Will it be next week with Emma Stone and Tom Cruise? You never know, but I don’t like the chances.

The final week of June is probably reruns due to Wimbledon. That leaves 2 weeks in the middle, one of which could have NHL overrun exclusions.

Anything can happen, but I’m very comfortable on the other side of the bet.

Good to see Men at Work doing well for TBS.

Seeing TNA’s ratings are depressing they were live and the episode was better than anything the WWE was putting out there. The problem is some WWE fans are so selfish to live with a really bad product instead of checking out the one the one that’s way better than it right now.

I think TNA shouldn’t move up that early because the 10pm hour is crucial to driving up viewers.

I find GH unattractive anymore.
