Nasaan Ka Elisa? is the upcoming teleserye of ABS-CBN, a Philippine remake of the Chilean drama ¿Dónde Está Elisa? (later remade in Mexico), top billed by Melissa Ricks.

Elisa, (Melissa Ricks) a beautiful and rich teenager and the eldest daughter of Mariano (Albert Martinez) and Dana Altamira (Agot Isidro). One night, after Mariano's party, Elisa insisted her father to go out with her younger sister, Christina (Isabella De Leon) and her cousins, Santi (Franco Daza) and Eduardo (Aldred Gatchalian). They go to a local club where there is a party being held there. The three, except Elisa soon get drunk. When Dana and Vivian (Mickey Ferriols) come to fetch them, they see that they are drunk and find out that Elisa is now missing. The investigators, Cristobal (Joem Bascon) and Giselle (Desiree Del Valle) investigate and they find a list of names of people who might have kidnapped Elisa, including her family members (aunts, uncles, cousins), her friends and classmates and went to the places where Elisa used to go to. Will they find where Elisa is? Who is the one who kidnapped Elisa? Will the mystery behind the disappearance of Elisa be revealed?

It is expected to premieres on March 21,2011.

"Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin" is a Philippine family military drama series that will premieres on ABS-CBN on March 7, 2011 featuring Coco Martin with double character as brothers. It is a challenge for Coco according to him, as he play two different characters with different personalities. Two different names in two different world, Alexander and Javier will cross their mysterious fate.

Expectedly, Brandi did not like her father's revelations and is determined to fight for her right to the money and the family's company. Will she succeed in her tricky and deceitful plan? Will she hit the jackpot and reclaim the fortune? Or will she give it all up and instead choose Milo's heart as a consolation prize?

The lives of Bernard (Zanjoe Marudo), Marco (Rafael Rosell), and Jewel (Cristine Reyes) will be in danger once again in the explosive last episodes of “Martha Cecilia’s Kristine.”

Desperate to get the Fortalejo fortune, Margarita (Irma Adlawan) will kidnap Bernard and Jewel’s son Baby Leonard and will threaten to kill the baby if Jewel doesn’t find the necklace of Don Leon (Lito Legaspi).

While more lives become endangered with Margarita’s 24-hour deadline to Jewel, her conspirator Diana (Bangs Garcia) will have to choose between saving Bernard and allowing him to harm’s way as a way of revenge against him.

Find out if they will escape Margarita’s wrath as the show that has heated up the nights of viewers for almost six months closes this week.

Meanwhile, Zanjoe shared that it has been hard for him to believe that their program is about to end. He said, “Parang ang bilis lang ng panahon, parang kelan lang eh pilot pa lang, presscon, pictorial, storycon. Tapos parang kakapalabas pa lang ng Kristine, daming intriga, naninibago pa kami sa characters, tapos ngayon isang linggo na lang pala, matatapos na kami. Siguro sa ganda nung storya, hindi ko na napansin na patapos na pala kami.”

His leading lady, Cristine, said the show has been a very good experience as she learned a lot from her peers, the staff, and their director Rory Quintos. “Pinaka-importanteng natutunan ko is yung pagmamahal sa trabaho. Kasi si Direk Rory, importante sa kanya yung on-time lahat ng tao. Siyempre hindi ka magpapakita sa taping na hindi mo alam kung ano na ang nangyayari sa character mo, sa kuwento. Dapat memorized lahat ng linya at naintindihan ng lahat yung kahalagahan at punto ng bawat eksena,” shared the Jewel of Romance.

Cristine said parting ways with the group is like entering a long-distance relationship. “Kumbaga matibay na yung relasyon ninyo. Tapos siyempre biglang off-air na. Para kang nasa long-distance relationship. ‘Yung alam mong nandiyan pa yung samahan, pero hindi lang kayo magkasama,” she explained.

Asked what she will miss most about the show, she said, “yung off-screen kulitan namin ng mga cast. ‘Yung pag-aalaga ng mga kasamahan ko sa akin, bilang kaibigan at bilang ka-eksena. Sobrang mami-miss ko yun.”

‘Bulong’ Earns P33.25M in First 5 Days

“Bulong”, Star Cinema’s horror comedy film, topped Philippine box-office last week with a haul of P33.25 million in first 5 days.
Starring Vhong Navarro and Angelica Panganiban, “Bulong” is Star Cinema’s opening salvo for 2011 and the first local mainstream movie to be screened this year after the Metro Manila Film Festival.
Star Cinema’s previous horror films earned higher in their first 5 days of showing. “Cinco” which was shown July last year had an opening gross of P38.59M while the MMFF entry “Dalaw” earned around P50 million. However, the P33.25 million opening weekend gross of “Bulong” is not bad at all.

“Bulong” bested 3 Hollywood movies which also debuted last week: The Rite (#3), Burlesque (#4) and the Warrior’s Way (#9). It was also the grand opening week of “Tangled” after its 3D debut last 2 weeks ago.
Here’s the Philippine box office tally for the opening weekend of February 2 to 6, 2011 according to Box Office Mojo.

Midnight Phantom on ABS-CBN Will Start on Monday

After the 'Impostor', ABS-CBN launches another series titled Midnight Phantom which is the eleventh and final installment of Precious Heart Romances by Martha Cecilia.

It stars Denise Laurel and Rafael Rosell. It is a screen adaptation of the highly popular local romance novel authored by Martha Cecilia.

Denise will be playing the role of Nadia, a recent college graduate who will later on fall in love with a mysterious DJ known as Midnight Phantom (Rafael).Ina Raymundo will be playing Denise’s step-mom in the series.

Midnight Phantom will start on Monday, July 12,2010 at ABS-CBN Hapontastic block.

Noah on ABS-CBN Will Start on Monday

On Monday, ABS-CBN will take you to the island of Noah as the newest fantaserye on Primetime Bida.

Noah stars Piolo Pascual and miracle boy Zaijan Jaranilla as father and son. Kristine Hermosa will also play on a leading role. Other cast members included in the series are Cherry Pie Picache, Nonie Buencamino, Jolo Revilla, Ana Capri, Joem Bascon, Melissa Ricks, Renzo Cruz, Baron Geisler and Jodi Sta. Maria.

Noah is a mysterious island occupied my creatures called Ungtas where Jacob (Zaijan), son of Gabriel (Piolo Pascual) grew up. Jacob lost since childhood due to an accident. As Gabriel take the route to Noah to find Jacob who is now Eli, he encounter along the way the Ungtas and Eva (Kristine Hermosa).

Noah is directed by Malu Sevilla and Lino Cayetano, and will start on Monday, July 12, 2010 replacing the successful Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo only at ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.

Cinco by Star Cinema will Set on July 14

Cinco is a upcoming Filipino horror film produced and released by Star Cinema. The film will consist of five different horror stories with various actors and directors.

It has 5 different episodes:

Uno: Braso
Dos: Paa
Tres: Puso
Kwatro: Mata
Cinco: Mukha

The first episode is Uno: Braso. Casts were composed of Sam Concepcion, AJ Perez, Robi Domingo, and Baron Geisler and was directed by Frasco Mortiz.

The second episode is Dos: Paa with Jodi Sta. Maria-Lacson and Joy Viado under the direction of Enrico Santos.

The third episode is Tres: Puso. The casts were Zanjoe Marudo, Pokwang, Valerie Garcia, Malou de Guzman. It was directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.

Kwatro: Mata is the fourth episode starring Maja Salvador and Rayver Cruz. it was directed by Ato Bautista.

The fifth and final episode is Cinco: Mukha. Casts were, Mariel Rodriguez ,Jayson Gainza, Ketchup Eusebio and Soliman Cruz directed by Nick Olanka.

Cinco is set to be released this July 14,2010 in Philippines and on July 30, 2010 on USA. There will be a Cinco Online Press Q&A on July 7,2010 on Kapamilya Chat at ABS-CBN official website.

Twist and Shout Started on ABS-CBN

Twist and Shout started their premiere episode on ABS-CBN yesterday. Hosted by Concert King Martin Nievera and Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano, the first day was a very successful launch.

Twist and Shout is a musical talent-show with a twist. While contestants are performing their numbers, everything is done to put them off such as distractions during the performances to know who among the contestants can survive.

Each Team have 3 members which means 3 rounds and 3 showdown. Contestants will need to pass the Weapons of Mass Destructions which are the sweat, cold and hot. Also starring were musical director Mel Villena and the Jeje Band. The board of judges were composed of Aiza Seguerra, Jimmy Bondoc and special guest Bianca Manalo. The winning Team can have the chance to win 200,000 pesos as well as 3 lucky contestant.

On first episodes, two team shown their ability to sing despite of the distractions. The Red Team were composed of Richard Poon, Juris of MYMP and Soul Siren Nina. From Blue Team, Bugoy, Frenchie Dy and Christian Bautista will fight against opponent.

The Running Machine

On the first round, Christian Bautista of Blue Team and Richard Poon fought on The Running Machine. Judges will give 1 point on this part. Christian tried it first but he fall on the middle of his song as well as Richard when he followed. Richard Poon won with 2-1 score from judges.

Ice Dip

On the second round, Nina from Red Team and Frechie Dy faced the battle on Ice Dip. It is a bath tub with ice. Judges will give 2 points for this challenge. Nina and Frechie finished both the challenge with an amazing performance. Aiza seguerra gave 2 points for Frenchie Dy, Jimmy Bondoc gave the points to Nina while Bianca Manalo choose awaeded the 2 points for Frenchie Dy whih means frenchie won this round.

Volcano

On the third round, the last member of each team, Bugoy and Juris faced the challenge. Judges will give 3 points on this challenge. Bugoy was the first one to face the challenge and he finished his songs. Juris also complete the challenge but the jugdes favored Juris. Aiza Seguerra and Jimmy Bondoc gave the 3 points for Juris while Bianca Manalo awarded the 3 points for Bugoy.

All in all, Blue Team got 8 points while Red Team got 10 points.

Under the supervision of international audit, a raffle was drawn to select 3 studio audience who can also win the total prize of the player.

The Turntable

On the jackpot round, the Red Team need to ride on the the turntable, a circular rotating table with only strings were they can hold to win the jackpot prize of 200,000 pesos. The turntable turned smoothly at first but it gone faster and faster. Richard Poon got out first followed by Nina then Juris. They stayed 43 seconds which is equivalent to 43,000 pesos.

James Reid was proclaimed PBB Teen Clash 2010 Big Winner this June 26, 2010 at the Unite at the Big Night on Ynares Sport Complex, Antipolo Rizal. James dubbed as Dashing Dude of Australia go home with one million pesos (P1,000,000) a condo unit worth P3 million from Globe Asiatique, a water-refilling franchise worth P1.5 million, an Asian trip for two, and a 46 inch LCD television. He got 179,294 or 19.75% votes.

Ryan Bang was proclaimed as Second Big Placer with 18.7% or 169,797 votes, followed by Fretzie Bercede with 15.99% or 145, 176 votes, Devon Seron with 15.74% or 142,876 votes , Ivan Dorschner with 15.14% or 137,402 and Bret Jackson II with 14.68% or 133,239.

The Transformer inspired "Unite At The Big Night" with the Big Brother House transformed into robot was a fantastic finale of this season. Jovit Baldivino and Velasco Brothers join the night including the former housemates with special opening number singing "Everybody Help Somebody," originally written and composed by one of the Big Six, Bret. PBB Double Up Big Winner also participate on this number. Other stars were Sam concepcion and girl group Miles.

They also awarded the Php580,000 worth checque they earned through their Big Goal Concert to the Philippine Soccer Team and will be used in joining Homeless World Cup in Brazil.

GMA-7′s 60th anniversary celebration dubbed “GMA at 60: The Heart of Television” is going to be aired this Sunday, June 27 on SNBO (Sunday Night Box Office).

It was the celebration of 60 victorious years via a musical concert held at the Araneta Coliseum, June 18, Friday were the Kapuso stars presented were one dozen production numbers, each with a special theme that traced the network’s history and showcased its contribution to the industry, kicked off by a “musical account” of the network’s rise circa the ‘50s to be country’s “No. 1.”

Gathering dozens of the Kapuso stars from different genre - drama, comedy, variety and news - to present each of their successes through the years. Asia's Songbird Ms. Regine Velasquez, one of the network's biggest stars, open the concert with her rendition of the song History Repeating.'

Vice Ganda was so thankful that he will be features on Reader's Digest Asia on September Issue.

At first, Vice Ganda did not believe until the correspondent of Reader's Digest came and he asked the interviewer repeatedly why he was chosen. The interviewer answered that out of five nominees and it was unanimous for Vice Ganda.

“Nu’ng una nga raw, hindi nila ako mahanap, dahil ang ibinigay na pangalan sa kanya eh, Jose Marie Viceral at hindi Vice Ganda."(At first, they couldn't find me, because Jose Marie Viceral was the name given to him and not Vice Ganda),he said.

“Kaya nakakatuwa na ako ang ipi-feature nila sa September edition. Keri lang kahit hindi na ako maging cover, ‘no! Reader’s Digest ‘yan, ‘teh.” (So I am happy that I will be featured on September Issue. Its okay even I am not in cover, that is Reader's Digest already.)

Vice Ganda was so thankful and flattered because being featured in Reader's Digest is a big opportunity because the Reader's Digest has a wide scope and it is international. Interview was already finished and the shooting for the pictorial will be set in other weeks.
