Note the new night and new time. Sundays at 9PM definitely work better for me. Hope it’ll also work in the show’s favor and not against it. Maybe I’ll actually get to vote this time around.

Loving some of the crews we get a glimpse of in the trailer. Looks like we’ve got a bunch of different types trying out this season. Wonder how many of them made it into the first show? I’m not entirely convinced any of them are going to knock the West down but I look forward to watching them try.

It’s Friday, and that means it’s time for some fun!

This week we’re taking one of my personal TV frustrations, and turning it into a fun little game for you! Now, I don’t know about you, but I hate it when I’m searching the TV Guide to look up which episode of a particular show is on, and instead of the episode title and description, there’s just a generic show description. This is in no way helpful to me, I already know what show it is! But, it turns out that this little pet-peeve makes the perfect basis for a little game we’re calling Ramblings of a TV Guide!

We’ll give you a list of generic TV Guide show descriptions, and all you have to do is tell which show they are describing. Easy stuff!

Here’s your list of show descriptions:

1. The personal and professional misadventures of six friends in New York city.

A Mini-Review: I loved it!

A Slightly-Less-Mini-Review: Sure, it’s like several high school/teen movies wrapped up in one TV show. But you know what? I love those freaking movies. It reminds me most of Stick It without actually trying to be the movie (yes, other new ABC Family show, I’m looking at you). The show is about a bunch of teen gymnasts who are all desperately trying to make it to the Olympics. But how do you have a life and still succeed at competitive gymnastics? Yeah. That’s what we’re about to find out. In the premiere, Emily joins the gym and immediately proves that she’s got what it takes to be there even with her lack of training. Unfortunately, there are already three top gymnasts and one of them isn’t too happy that Emily may knock her down a spot in the standings. How does the drama play out? You’ll just have to tune in and see!

Oh and a face from the past makes an appearance too. Candace Cameron Bure! Aww, I miss DJ and Full House. Check out Amrie’s interview with her and Peri Gilpin for more on what you can expect to see on the show.

The latest chapter of Greek comes to a close tonight at 8PM on ABC Family. And what a close! The entire episode is pretty freaking great and I love it so much I’ve already watched it numerous times. In honor of my love for it (and because some of the pictures are related), I’m finally posting the pictures from my visit to the set back in April.

In the picture above Scott Michael Foster & Dilshad Vadsaria pose in the Kappa Tau’s backyard with a prop from tonight’s episode, “At World’s End.” I don’t know if the prop will stay up indefinitely or not but it’s pretty fun. It’s kind of self-explanatory given the title of the episode but, not to worry, doesn’t give anything important away.

And I have to once again thank Amy at ABC Family; the team from Greek; and Daniel from the TVAddict.com for making the set visit happen. It was great to see where the magic happens and to chat with everyone! Scott and Dilshad actually came in during their hiatus from the show which was incredibly sweet and gracious of them. Plus, they’re kind of awesome. As if we didn’t know that already, right? And no surprise, I totally have a TV writer crush on Sean.

So, yeah, watch tonight’s finale of Greek @8PM on ABC FAMILY.

Inspired by a co-worker who I have recently hooked on Lost, today’s Friday Fun asks: What show would you most love to “rediscover” all over again? As my co-worker makes his way through season 1, I find that I’m rather jealous when he comes in gushing and exclaiming about Lost every morning… “The Korean woman can speak English!” “Is that Ethan guy really dead? I can’t believe he hung Charlie from a tree!!” “Oh my god! What is this hatch thing they’ve found in the jungle floor?” “Can there really be other people on the island??”

It’s just so great to watch someone fall for a show that you really love, but it also has me thinking about how lucky he is to be able to experience the joy, wonder, shock and awe that comes with some of Lost’s greatest moments.  While there are so many brilliant moments all the way along (like these for example):

I think the Lost moment I’m most deeply jealous over him getting to discover for the first time is the end of season 3, when I was absolutely FLOORED by the Flash Forward!  It still stands out as one of the biggest TV shockers I’ve had to date! I honestly can’t wait to hear his reaction.

So, folks in this TV light time of year, what TV show would you most love to rediscover all over again? Why? And if you’re up for it, please share which moment is the one you most wish you could experience again!

Anyway, I bring it up because our latest podcast discussion was about our perfect week of TV programming. Mine was actually pretty hard to put together. I had to leave a lot of my favorites off the list. And that’s after I cheated by extending the schedule into Saturday and programming mid-season shows. Ha. Still, when we were done, I was left wishing my schedule really was what I watched every week.

In the podcast, we tried to pick which of our nights was our most ideal. After all, that’s what our listener had really wanted us to reveal. Surprisingly, it didn’t take much thought from me at all. My Tuesday night line-up is my perfect night of TV:

• 8:00 - Buffy the Vampire Slayer
• 9:00 - Veronica Mars
• 10:00 - Alias

As I was lamenting not having those shows on my Tuesday nights, I realized… I can! After all, I’ve got the DVDs for the shows. So this past Tuesday, I sank into my sofa and watched the pilots of all three shows one right after another.

I have to tell you, I loved it. It’s not the lineup a “true” TV critic would ever pick but I don’t care. These are three shows I adored. They never failed to pick me up when I was feeling down. Probably because they feature strong female characters who’ve had to learn to stand up for themselves. Plus, they’ve all got a great mix of humor and humanity in there as well. I loved it so much I’m going to keep going. Not all three shows have the same number of episodes available so I am probably going to end up skipping around a little for Buffy and Alias but with my Tuesday nights free for the summer I figure I can get through quite a few of my favorite episodes before the new Fall season starts.

Because I actually would enjoy discussing the episodes a bit. (Like how both Buffy and Veronica Mars had great pilots but I often find myself distracted by things that will later become continuity issues. I know it’s mostly due to not being able to get the same locations for filming purposes or not knowing where a character would go so I don’t get caught up on them… but they definitely stick out more and more with every new re-watch.)

• TVx3 E031: Knowing What’s Going to Happen – Does knowing a guest star’s level of fame or the type of roles in which they typically get cast ruin an episode for you? We weigh in with our thoughts.
